The absolute worst. This guy claims to be a wedding DJ but is the furthest thing from it. He doesn't have his own equipment and refuses to play anything but euro party club music. We booked DJ Spline nearly 10 months in advance of our wedding after seeing his advertisement on the New York Magazine Wedding website. We didn't want a typical wedding DJ and liked his "No Playlist Manifesto" which outlined all of the wedding crap he refused to play. But 3 weeks before the wedding we sat down with him to review our playlist and were shocked when he didn't have 90% of the songs we requested. Instead he gave us a list of alternatives which were comprised solely of obscure euro trash dance remixes. When we pushed him to play the songs we requested, he seemed annoyed and told us we needed to provide him with mp3s of anything he didn't have which was literally everything (he didn't have ANY of the classics including House of Pain's Jump Around-really??). With 3 weeks till the wedding, the last thing we had time for was making this guy mix CDs. He could have taken 50 bucks from his $1500 fee and downloaded the songs himself instead of asking us to do it. But in the end, it really came down to taste. He didn't want to play our music but instead of being straight with us he canceled two weeks before the wedding saying he was going out of the country. Tip to DJ Spline: Wedding DJs play what they are told. Go back to the clubs if your artistic integrity won't allow you to play anything other than electronica.
