The food at Devi has always been excellent. So when we decided to have them cater our wedding, we knew it would be truly special. We didn't want the typical Indian food, tandoori chicken, heavy daal, but more of a fusion style that was really thoughtful and creative. That's just what Devi brought to the table, both during our tasting as well as at our wedding. The food was excellent, really well thought out and planned. We had an Indian taco station, as well as some fun signature cocktails. People raved about how tasty the food was, and they mentioned it days after our wedding. The only downside in the whole operation was the execution during dinner. Although our contact had worked at our venue, food came out rather slowly. One table didn't get served until past 10pm, long after the others had been served, had eaten and were mingling. Sadly, we overheard some of our guests joking that they felt they had to sing for their suppers. And some of the guests complained that even though they were served on time, they were served cold food. These logistics are incredibly important, and had they been flawless, we certainly would have rated Devi much higher.

I agree there were issues with timely food service by the venue staff (which we ourselves got to your (Pia's) attention during the wedding) but I would like to share the blame with the venue (Desmond Tutu Center) We would use this as a classic example where great food from a caterer does not deliver the best experience due to sloppy service provided by venue staff. (Not a single staff in the dining room was Devi's or managed by Devi) Ther venue staff could not handle table service efficiently. Hot food in the kitchen takes 5 minutes to get cold if not served to the table with speed and efficiency. But thanks again for the opportunity as we loved working with you.

Kunal was great he paid attention to every detail..all our demand were met..he maintained a very amicable environment ...very professional too we dint have to worry about a thing..delivered as promised very impressive!!

I worked with Kunal from Events by Devi Catering and he exceeded our expectations both in terms of service and food! His staff was highly professional and Kunal made sure the quality of the food was above and beyond what we had expected. I have really enjoyed working with him and will definitely work with him in the future.
