All I can say is Happy Music DJ is legit. When we first met Alice we were impressed by her professionalism, focus on our needs, and conciseness most importantly. Often times vendors try to upsell you on things you don't need and will sell you on the "quality" of their service with lots of words and sometimes videos. We met with at least 3 other DJs before Happy Music, and my wife either thought they were annoying or just really good sales people charging 3x the actual value for a DJ. Alice was none of that. When we said we wanted our uncle to be the MC, she crossed that line item out of the bill instantly without trying to convince us otherwise, and even offered to coach our uncle for free. We could tell throughout the entire wedding she genuinely enjoyed being there almost as if she were our aunt (which we felt like she was). She took over 300 photos and videos for us at no extra charge and made a nice facebook album for us. Now onto Jason who was a remarkable young DJ. At first we were surprised at how young he was but were thinking he probably is more up to date on music than most DJs in the business and we were spot on. Despite his age he's seen what works and doesn't at weddings and I heard from many of my guests that his transitioning was amazing and that he seamlessly faded out of songs that weren't getting a good vibe. When our dancing portion first began, not a lot of people were dancing because they hadn't finished eating. We told Jason and he was able to fill the void with softer tones to allow people to finish eating and then gradually bring up the beat and get over 80% of our guests to pack the floor. We also had a slideshow and video, as well as games, which he incorporated into the program with no oversight whatsoever. All in all, Happy Music was everything we expected and more and the best vendor we worked with for our wedding. We were extremely delighted and I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a solid DJ service.

If I had to do it over again I would definitely not change the DJ. I was so happy with how Jason was considerate of our wants and needs and he knows exactly how to feel out a crowd. He does not let himself be the main attraction like i have seen time and time again at so many other weddings. I did not want another idiot DJ who plays the music way too loud and thinks he is the star of the wedding. Jason knew exactly what we wanted. Nice dinner music while the reception was getting started, then great beats to get everyone on the dance floor.

Happy Music DJ is the best! They know good music, they have the appearance, and they are affordable. Plus, the Asian guy DJing was very respectable towards me and my wife. So nice!

For a wedding, the music choice is a crucial part which leaves a lasting memory of your special night. For my wedding night, the music choice was absolutely splendid and perfect, all thanks to this special DJ. Didn't have any problems with him, he's very outgoing and also takes his work seriously. He chose the perfect songs, and everyone had tons of fun. Lots of people complimented the music. He was a part of the portion that made the night perfect for my husband and I, which was nice because there wasn't any extra stress on me. Check him out, you won't regret it!

happy dj was awesome! they were the party !! they were extremely flexible with our music requests and worked with us to ensure the best party atmosphere for our guests-- bringing party favors and taking additional pictures for us. loved them and we'll definitely recommend them to friends! :)

We saw Happy Music DJ perform for a wedding at the Astoria Beer Garden, and the music was great. We decided to use them for our wedding. They were awesome when it came to planning, picking out music and suggesting music, and also very responsive. Very friendly, very affordable, and very professional. We knocked off 1.5 stars only because the MC seemed to be adamant about playing a game and pushed too much on games during the wedding. When it came to the garter belt, it just seemed to drag on. Besides that, we would definitely reccomend them to other couples looking for a DJ.

Happy Music DJ is the perfect name for this company because happiness AND music were amply provided by our DJ's! Not only were Jason, Charlie, Christine and all of the staff professional, they were also very flexible AND reasonable. When things were not going as planned, Christine followed our itinerary for the night but also improvised at the right time. All of the DJ's were genuinely committed to the bride and groom's HAPPINESS and that is exactly how my wife and I AND all of our guests felt, HAPPY! Thank you for facilitating an entertaining and fun wedding for us!

The DJ was spectacular. The company was very helpful, accommodating and answered all of our questions on a timely manner. We were able to personalize our music choice by giving them a list of songs that we wanted to be played. Everyone loved Jason and his choice of music. Throughout the night, there were people dancing and the dance floor was always pack.
