Heartbeat Dance Band provided the music for our wedding ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. They did a spectacular job! They have a huge song list and can play anything from Sinatra to Journey to Black Eyed Peas and Katy Perry....and they play it all well! Barbara was our contact person with the band, and she listened carefully to every request we had, big and small. She had great suggestions for things we were not sure about, and we trusted her judgement in terms of what works best for weddings. They did not disappoint! The band knew how to read the crowd and kept the music up when the dance floor was full. It was packed most of the night. Not only was the music incredible, but they were super flexible in terms of setting up for our ceremony and reception in the same room with little time in between. The keyboard music for the ceremony and cocktail hour was beautiful, and the reception music had a high energy level throughout the night. They payed attention to detail, for example, they played the instrumental version of our first dance song through transition times (like cake cutting, and when people were asked to be seated for meals). It added such a nice personal touch! People kept stopping us to tell us "We love the band!" We switched from a different band to Heartbeat 11 weeks before our wedding because of logistical issues with the other band. We could not be happier we found Heartbeat and highly recommend them for your event!

This may sound cheesy, but Heartbeat Dance Band was truly the heart of our wedding. The dance floor was PACKED throughout our entire wedding and our guests raved about the band. Not Heartbeat, they are a tight band and the members are the same, that shows in their performance. They played a wide range of music, and did all genres sooo well, which is rare in a band. Some bands are only good in one genre. I was surprised at how versatile their sound was and how current their song list is. There is nothing this band can't do! Barbara was also nice enough to work with my husband and allowed him to live his life long dream of being a Rockstar. Heartbeat did an AWESOME job at our wedding. I have been to a lot of weddings and they are up there with the best bands I've heard. We got so many compliments on them from our guests- people were dancing the entire night. Their song list is extensive and includes a good mix of all different types of music and Barbara will work with you to create a song list and plan out the flow of the night- she was so great- very pleasant, flexible, and helpful with suggestions. The whole band was great- great voices and instrumentals- and they definitely followed the mood of the crowd to keep things going. We were extremely happy with Heartbeat- if they are available for your wedding- book them now!

My husband and I wholeheartedly recommend Heartbeat Dance Band for all your wedding music needs. From the start, we were impressed by the band's website, which gives listeners tons of sample songs to listen to in order to help you decide if you like their style. We were blown away from the beginning. It was evident just how talented this group was and we definitely saw the potential for them to come in and liven up our reception. We worked all the details out with Barbara, who manages the band and sings lead vocal. She is a fantastic person to work with. She was always on top of all the details, she clearly explained our roles in picking certain songs out, and she even learned our favorite song for our first dance! If you explain what you are envisioning to her, Barbara will do everything she can to make it happen. She wants your wedding day to be memorable and she truly takes pleasure in doing her part to contribute to the day. We went with Heartbeat's 9 piece option, but they give you the option to have more or less musicians. Our group had 3 vocalists, a drummer, 2 guitar players, a keyboard player, a saxophone player, and a trumpet player. They were absolutely fantastic. We were getting compliments from our guests as early as 10 minutes into our reception about how great the band sounded and how they really got people out on the dance floor. And believe me, it didn't stop there. People were dancing all night as Heartbeat kept the energy going with a selection of songs we had chosen as well as fun songs from many different genres. We left most of the song selection up to them because they are the professionals and we were not disappointed. You cannot go wrong by choosing Heartbeat Dance Band to play at your wedding. It was a great pleasure having them at ours. Oh, and they were just informed that they won The Knot Best of Weddings again for 2012, for the 5th year in a row!

This band was fantastic. Although a bit pricy, they were worth every penny. I was nervous about hiring a band because, while live music can be so much fun, a bad band can ruin a reception. Not only are my husband and I so happy, but our guests continue to talk (over a year later) about how amazing the band was. Everyone was out on the dance floor. They even matched their outfits to my colors! Just be sure to book in advance and send in your deposit as soon as you are sure. They called me right before I put my contract in the mail and told me they had another request for the same day... I ended up having to fax over my info that day in order to save the date!

Heartbeat Dance Band performed at our wedding in July. They did an outstanding job! Their upbeat and energetic personalities got everyone dancing on the dance floor. HeartBeat Dance Band was such a pleasure to deal with since the first day we heard them sing at their showcase at the Greenwich Hyatt. First of all Barbara(band leader and lead singer) is so kind and easy to work with. She will email you back within a day and will learn just about any song thats very important to you. Second, The Band sounds Incredible. My wedding had a diverse group of ages. Some wanted to hear 50's music while some enjoyed more current Hits. Heartbeat has up to nine pieces , each member had there own strength, a rocker, a lead singer, a girl with a bluesy voice, they did it all and well!! When my wedding was over, all people could talk about was the band! I cant reccommend them enough. Me and my wife are trying to figure out who in our family will get married next so we can hear heartbeat again soon. Thank You again HeartBeat!

They are amazing entertainers and really know how to get the party started. My husband plays the drums as a hobby and they invited him up to play a few songs with them. Exceptional band! Fabulous! Outrageous! Had EVERYONE dancing! One of the reasons our wedding was so phenomenal was definitely this band. They were great! I come from a family of musicians and they all approved of this band. Barbara really worked with me to incorporate special elements into the evening such as the band backing up my dad for a song and Barbara playing my music at the ceremony.
