Janine was an amazing officiant!! She was interested, intelligent, responsive, and helpful in assisting us design our custom wedding ceremony. My husband and I come from different cultural backgrounds and Dr. Burns was extremely knowledgable about various aspects to make our ceremony unique, informative, and a great expression of our marriage. Friends and family complimented her to us immediately after the ceremony saying that she was the most articulate officiant they'd ever seen. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone who truly loves and cares about what she does. If I could you 10 stars I would, Janine!

Dr. Burns is an outstanding officiant. She did not simply marry us. Rather she provided great council and tips from the day we met her up through our wedding day. Guests at our wedding told us that they never saw a more touching ceremony and some even said that her words brought tears of joy to their eyes. The ceremony she created was unique and used ceremonies within the ceremony which involved the lighting of candles, pouring of sand, exchaning of roses and breaking of a glass. She did not exit immediately after the ceremony but rather stayed to converse with us, family and friends. She genuinely cared about us and making our ceremony memorable. Dr. Janine is absolutely AMAZING!!! I was supposed to have my wedding on the day we got over 30 inches of snow. Days prior she called me to check in and really gave me such positive energy to be positive and was so comforting. She knew I was anxious about the impending storm. Well...30 inches came on our wedding day and my reception was postponed. However, without hesitation Janine jumped at the chance to officiate our ceremony in our home with our immediate family and our children (it was a second marriage). She turned an extremely stressful day into an amazing, memorable day that our family will never forget! There are no words strong enough to describe the warmth, enthusiasm and positive energy Janine brought into our home on that day of the blizzard. She was wonderful with my children and I get tears in my eyes thinking about the sincere devotion to making others happy that is so natural to Janine. I will forever be grateful to her for making this even more special than we could have ever imagined!

My husband and I are so happy we had Dr. Burns as our officient. She was warm and pleasant and made the ceremony a success. It was a second marriage for my husband who has 2 small children, from his first marriage. Dr. Burns integrated the children into the ceremony, which was very important for us, since we wanted to celebrate not just our union as a couple, but we wanted to celebrate that now we were all family. The children enjoyed the family sand ceremony, so much we did it again with the left over sand at home!! They enjoyed the gift ceremony and their participation in the wedding vows stoled everyone's heart. Dr, Burns made them feel confortable and we genuinely thank her for all her help. We had a fantastic time working with Dr. Janine Burns. She was easy to communicate with and very enthusiastic about our wedding. She answered every email and call that I had. We met with her on different occasions to plan out the processional and ceremony of our dreams. She informed us about things we did not know we could have like ‘Sand Ceremony’ which was perfect for our beach ceremony and the candle that we lite for our loved ones that passed away. Her suggestions were perfect. She did and said everything we planned and had asked of her. She even went beyond our expectations: One evening my husband and I showed up to our meeting with Janine arguing over whether or not to have a videographer. I wanted a video and he thought it was a waste of money. He pointed out that the video we paid $100 for of us swimming with dolphins, we only watched once. At last, I agreed that we were not going to have one. Janine then offered us her video camera to use. The kind gesture meant a lot to us. During the ceremony she helped out in a wedding planner sort-of-way, for I did not have one. We had some laughs during the ceremony for my husbands sand got stuck in his container, so he picked up sand from the beach and put it into our container. She can roll with the unexpected for sure :) She was just wonderful , helpful, full of knowledge for wedding ceremonies. The best was when she made sure I held my bouquet right for the pictures. She was perfect!

My husband and I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Janine Burns to officiate at our June 2011 wedding on Long Island. My husband and I were interested in personalizing our wedding ceremony. Dr. Burns worked with us over several meetings (via Skype, as we live out of state) to develop a ceremony that was unique and very meaningful to us. Dr. Burns had a lot of great "technical" advice, too, for the ceremony and reception (e.g. ceremony length, how to actually exchange the rings, writing the program). Dr. Burns is friendly, thoughtful, and extremely professional. The day of the wedding, she put everyone in the wedding party at ease by making sure everyone knew where to go and what to do. We were really glad that we were able to meet with Dr. Burns several times before the ceremony -- this way, we got to know her, and she got to know us. We recommend Dr. Janine Burns very highly!

Dr. Burns was referred to me by my now mother-in-law'she raved of how good she was in another wedding she had attended. When we sat and met prior to the wedding she meet my son, who demanded green sand for the sand ceremony. She made my ceremony pleasurable and easily put my son at ease even as he asked for his green sand. When you are going crazy with your "to do" list, calling this person, arranging things, flowers, photos, wedding favors, seating charts ( you know what I mean) , it is really nice to deal with someone who is a calming influence like Reverend Burns. No one even knew they were missing (including members of the bridal party who were standing within feet of us) thanks to her quick thinking and calm composure. My wife and I married just over a month ago at Coindre Hall in Huntington NY, and we feel like we were the luckiest wedding couple in the world to have found Janine Burns. Not only did we enjoyed the ceremony, but our guests did too: during the wedding and the days following the wedding we received many, many compliments on the ceremony from our guests.
