J Castillo Films is a must for your wedding! Initially, we are only interested on having a professional photographer for our wedding due to budget constraints and my husband preference. But I want my family back home who can’t make it to our wedding to see a highlight of our wedding and that's when i bumped into J Castillo Films while I was doing my research. I saw a sample video at Style Me Pretty New York wedding blog which drew me to check out their main website. Every sample was impressive and it evokes emotions and personal experience to each bride and groom story and that's how I knew that a photograph won’t suffice for a great wedding memory. You need a videographer that has cinematic style. Even though we researched and looked at other possible options. Something tells me that we should stick with my instinct and first choice. We are glad we did! One of the best choice and best vendor we had for our wedding. J Castillo Films is highly commendable in terms of professionalism. They are quick to reply and have an answer for everything ASAP which is a plus especially if you are getting near to your wedding date. They are flexible with the meetings and follow up meetings in a sense they can offer Skype or Phone call meetings when we can’t make it to their office. They are good in giving suggestions for your wedding outline which is big help when you are already stressed with all the wedding preps. They are punctual, polite, hardworking and professional on the actual wedding day. Everybody loved our sample wedding recap! They are flexible too with some changes we requested for the editing. And we got the edited version ASAP. We love the song and the video. We wish it was longer and we are already excited and looking forward to see the full version of our wedding cinematic video. We came across JCastillo Films online in our search for a wedding videographer. They were a breath of fresh air after seeing so many videos that looked the same over and over again. My husband and I were lucky enough to find J.Castillo films when we were searching for videographers to capture our wedding with more of a cinematic touch. They were extremely professional and they were easy to keep in touch with (very important for us since we were planning our NY wedding from NJ and then from CA) using Skype, phone, email, visits. Sigh was great to work with and gave us great references as well for other vendors we ended up using with great final products. When you hire JCastillo (and you SHOULD hire JCastillo), make sure to give them that little bit of extra time to get the shots they need. Your photographer is probably going to demand a lot of time - and the end result will be the same 'ol wedding pictures everyone has. But when the JCastillo gang get the footage they need, they're going to make you a video unlike you've ever seen before. Your video's true cinema quality will impress everyone you know, and every shot will truly capture the magic of your wedding day. These guys are money well spent . . . they made my wedding video look fantastic and they turned around the recap video very shortly after my event. I can't say enough good things; they are absolutely the best option in the Long Island area. If I could give JCastillo more than 5 stars I would.

JayR and Sigh were a pleasure to work with from our initial meeting through receiving our wedding trailer. We knew from the beginning that we loved their style of work. In fact, they were the only videographers that we met with. The day of our wedding JayR and his brother Jun were punctual and on their A game. While their professionalism definitely shone through both before and during the wedding what has really impressed me is their work after our wedding. They have been very flexible with me through the video creation process. Although I picked one song and okayed it with them for my trailer, a week later I decided I hated the song and it depressed me. Without questioning me, Sigh asked me to pick another song out of the songs available. I am so happy I was given this opportunity. I received my trailer yesterday and immediately fell in love with it. The trailer told the story of my day and had me in tears! There was one shot I was hoping for that was not included in the trailer and I asked them to add it in. Less than 24 hours later I received an email saying the video had been updated. Jay provides a unique service in that what you're watching is less of a traditional "wedding video" (really...who wants to sit through those anyway...they are boring lets face it), and more so a work of art. The road that led us here… What a fantastic experience! From start to finish my husband and I were both thrilled to have worked with Jay R, Ankush & Sigh! In the beginning, I found myself tooling around the internet quite a bit trying to figure out who to use as our videographer. We were blown away when we saw Jay R & Sighs work! I think it’s extremely important to understand that they are not typical “videographers” but rather they are “cinematographers.” There’s a big difference and finding the latter of the two is a little tricky and even more so to find someone who shoots exceptionally well in this style. Their videos are more like movies, shot in beautifully enhanced color and full of graceful sweeping thoughtful shots that capture the feelings and emotions of the day in a creative style that you and your family will treasure forever. As far as we are concerned, they are the absolute best! From the beginning, Sigh was always available to answer any of my questions by phone and returned my emails immediately! (even random ones I sent at 11 o’clock at night lol) When we had our final meeting, Sigh went over a detailed timeline that actually made more sense then what we were planning for the day of! The day of: Jay R & Ankush actually drove in close to 2 hours just to shoot our NJ wedding! They arrived right on time, were extremely friendly, upbeat, discrete mingled well with our family/ friends as we got ready and were extremely considerate of our personal space and not making us feel like we were being shot. At one point I realized that we were running about 20 minutes behind sched. and commented to Jay R that I was running behind on time. I was beginning to get nervous b/c I knew he still needed to get in our “first meet!” He smiled, and said it was ok and continued getting in the shots he needed of me before we headed off to get the other shots in. We never felt rushed or as though they were annoyed with us, it was more of a – no big deal, we’ll get it all done- kind of feeling! Whew!!! At the church, the guys were extremely discrete, never in our face, never blocking our families view of us and very respectful of being in a church and attending a religious ceremony. That was a huge deal for us and we appreciated their thoughtfulness so much! Jay R & Ankush worked extremely well with our photographers as well, often asking them if they had gotten in their shots before asking us to move and being respectful of them if they asked us to pose while on the way to shoot in a different spot. We never felt their presence during our first dance or quiet moments during the evening, but they were somehow always there…I wish I could explain it, but I can’t. They were everywhere, but somehow, we never knew ;) The Highlight Video: WOW! …That’s an understatement….but I truly have no words! We were so blown away by it!!! We immediately began sharing it with family and friends and no one could believe how amazing it was. To begin with, most of them had never saw a cinematic wedding video, so that completely blew their mind! We couldn’t believe how many little moments they had captured and how beautiful, elegant, fun, exciting, touching our video was! There were so many little things they had captured without us knowing…a music box my husband had given me after going to see Phantom of the Opera. They had no idea that he’d actually looked for this music box for about 7 years before finally finding it and getting it for me. It’s extremely sentimental. It’s the opening picture of our video and appears in it later! Our cat, who means the world to us, sitting on the bed wearing his tux tie… a picture of my grandparents and our florist securing it onto my bouquet, glances, smiles, looks ….all these small things that captured the true spirit of our day….It’s all there….and this is only the highlight video! Our family and friends keep asking when we are getting more lolol We simply tell them, perfection takes time ;) Looking for a Videographer? You probably are if you’re reading this review and as you can tell, we’re huge fans! When I was shopping for vendors, I often asked myself, “Why would I choose this vendor?” and then researched them. If I could give you one suggestion when it comes to J Castillo Films, it would be to ask yourself- “Why wouldn’t I use this vendor?” …because honestly…they’re just that good. Choosing them was one of the best wedding decisions we made! Apologies beforehand as this post is more than likely going to be longwinded, but looking throughout numerous sites I felt that to truly help other brides details about experiences are key. My Husband and I had our wedding on October 21, 2011 and throughout the planning stages, we couldn't decide if we wanted a Videographer, much less afford one! One of my Husband's co-workers was in his planning stages as well, and told him about the videographer He and his Fiance had booked, J Castillo Films. He gave us the website, and while mulling over the thought and expense of hiring a videographer, we decided to see his website. We were FLOORED when we saw the quality and look of the samples. They looked like mini music videos, they were so awesome! As we talked more about it, we were convinced we couldn't afford something like this, and much less so after looking into prices at similar companies. We were starting to believe we weren't going to have video. But the more we talked to each other about how awesome JayR and Sigh's videos were, the more we decided it couldn't hurt to at least meet with them. One of the BEST DECISIONS WE MADE. Not only were they able to meet us on such short notice (only a couple of months before the wedding), they were willing to accommodate us during the times that worked best for us. We all met, and JayR and Sigh were so down to earth, professional and, almost a rarity when looking at wedding vendors, LIKABLE! The quality was excellent and the prices were more affordable than other companies out there. My Husband and I decided to book with them, and couldn't have been happier. Every silly, stupid question we came up with (and us Brides have TONS) was answered quickly and clearly. Every issue we had imagined that could pop up, they had a solution for. Planning a wedding is like going into battle and you want the best soldiers on your side. Well, JayR and Sigh are those soldiers. When the big day finally came, not only were they professional they also knew how to have fun and go along with things, making My husband and I feel at ease. All of their ideas were cool, and nothing ever felt "forced" or cookie cutter. They coordinated with our Photographers and that helped to make everything seem to run smooth, even when outside forces were conspiring against us (we're looking at you Parks Dept! haha). They were the epitome of Professionalism and class. After the wedding, there has been constant contact between us in regards to our little recap video and other aspects, and we never felt like they forgot about us. We were so happy to have worked with JayR and Sigh. You truly feel you are working with people who have a Passion for what they do and care about their clients, not just as a way to make money. It was so important to us that we found videographers that, not only had wonderful work, but were also wonderful people, and that was JayR and Sigh. They were always quick to respond to e-mails and phone calls, they asked us numerous questions to make sure what they were shooting was exactly what we wanted, and they were just so pleasant! (Many of you brides have encountered those wedding vendors that have attitudes. Yikes!) During the wedding, they were sure to capture everything, but were also sure not to be too invasive. Unbelievable. The Castillo's are true masters of the art! My husband and I were really unsure about getting video because we really didn't have the money to spend for it. Boy are we glad we did. They're pricing was just too good to pass up! We live out of state so weren't able to meeting with hem face to face. We did everything via email and Skype. They were so accommodating and willing to work with us and our schedule. The day of the wedding Sigh came and did her thing. She was so fun to work with! She was like a ninja during the wedding. You never really knew she was there, but she was taking amazing shots! The final product was far more than we expected. She was able to capture both of our personalities in the video and the editing is amazing! Everyone we show can't believe the quality of the video. I HIGHLY recommend J. Castillo for your wedding. They are one of the best vendors we got to work with. We didn't give them much direction and there was no need to. They know what they're doing and will give you an outstanding final product!

My highlight video is amazing! The price was great!! I got tons of compliments on it. I'm a perfectionist and they without a doubt lived up to my expectations. Out of all the different vendors we were working with for our big day, Sigh & Jay R were our absolute favorites. With all the craziness in planning for a wedding and the day of, they had quintessentially set the bar of standards in which we had ended up comparing to all the other vendors we had dealt with. True professional in all sense, very prompt in their responses to emails/phone calls and how they dealt with their clients making you feel that like you had nothing to worry about when it came to them. Our wedding day was a long day for everybody as the church ceremony in the late morning and the evening reception created such a huge gap, but Sigh & Jay R kept their attention to details and energetic yet easy going nature from the beginning to the very end. There were times we had wished Jay R & Sigh could have been our photographer too as they had continued to bring up different ideas with their vision and creativity to get a good shot when our photographer failed to do so. After the wedding we had high hopes waiting to get a glimpse of our wedding day through their eyes and without fail they had delivered with what we had seen through the wedding video recap. Surprisingly I was more poised than I thought I would have been during the wedding day and didn’t shed a tear despite all the high emotions, but Sigh & Jay R had tears streaming down my face when watching the beautiful video recap. The day felt like it went by so fast, I embarrassingly keep on watching the video because its something that I can hold on to besides my photographs. I'm so glad that my husband persuaded me to hire a videographer/cinematographer because its such a great investment. It's something that we will have forever and hopefully one day our children can watch as well.

J Castillo Films is awesome! They did an amazing job with our video recap! All my family & friends love our video & keep watching it over and over. We had a video done to "Shots" and they were nice enough to do a parent version to "Tonights Gonna be a Good Night." Sigh was so helpful & professional. She replied to all my emails so quickly eventhough I probably drove her crazy with questions. She even helped me plan out my timeline for the entire day. You must hire them for your wedding!

I stumbled across J Castillo Films on LI Weddings and knew their style was something I'd be interested in. I researched many videographers but they all seemed the same. I wanted something more. All of the wedding recaps that I watched on their website brought tears to my eyes and from that moment I knew they were the ones. From the start, Sigh and JayR gave us such a good feeling. Not only were they professional, but they treated us like friends. Sigh and I kept in touch throughout the wedding planning and was always quick to respond to my emails. After the wedding we waited with much anticipation for our recap (which was only a few short weeks). We were so happy with the final product and have received nothing but compliments. It brought us right back to the day of our wedding and the footage they captured is amazing. I would highly recommend J Castillo Films. Jay-R and his wife Sigh are masters in the craft of videography. There uncanny knack for capturing amazing shots and angles is second to none, and it truly shows in the final product. They blend seamlessly into the environment allowing the event to flow smoothly and unimpeded. You will rarely ever notice that they are there during important ceremonial scenes,yet are confident that they have captured the magic of it. We cannot say enough about J Castillo Films! Every time we spoke to them we were always treated like their only client. We fell in love with his work from the beginning and we were hoping that he would capture the 'real us' and not what a typical videographer thinks he/she should put in a video. Well, we just received our recap and when we saw it we were beyond words! J Castillo not only exceeded our expectations by 1000%, he captured and created a video that is truly a piece of art. One of my friends quoted him as the, "Francis Ford Coppola of wedding videos!" We cannot say enough how beautiful his work is and every time we watch it, we can re-live every emotion of our wedding. We were nervous about hiring a videographer because we didn't want to be followed around all day by a huge camera with a bright light shining in our faces. When we met with JayR and Sigh from J Castillo Films they listened to our concerns and made us feel comfortable that their style was more modern and unobtrusive. They showed us sample videos that were shot in HD with small handheld cameras that looked absolutely amazing! At our wedding they were very professional and fun to work with. They sent us a highlight recap video to share with our friends and family soon after the wedding and it is fabulous! We can't wait to see our full video! Having a videographer was one of the most important things to me for our wedding. There is so much more captured thru video and more creativity then just printed photos. In meeting with J Castillo Films we were ready to book them on the spot, which we never do. JayR and Sigh have such welcoming, laid back and fun personalities that we just felt so at ease with them and knew they were a perfect fit for us. Sigh filmed our wedding and she went above and beyond. She was there with me at 8 am getting ready and stayed until the very end of the wedding. The ceremony and pictures were outside and it was sweltering hot out and this did not set her back a beat as it did me. I just received our recap video 3 hours ago and I have already watched it about a million times. They did such an amazing job I cannot wait to see the rest!!!!! I would absolutely recommend J Castillo Film to anyone looking for a videographer.

We were initially undecided on video for our wedding and didn't know if we could fit it in our budget. I had read a number of very positive reviews of JCastillo Films on LIWeddings.com so we went to his website and were immediately impressed with the artistic quality of the recap videos he has on the site. He was also offering a promotion so we made an appointment to meet with him in Deer Park to talk about his style and see some samples of his work. Sold! We booked with him on the spot. We liked him and Sigh so much we didn't feel the need to meet with any other video vendors. Not only is he very talented, JayR also has a great personality and a genuine enthusiasm and passion for his work. We knew he would be a great addition to our day. He and Sigh often work together as a team and both were very responsive, professional, and helpful throughout the process. On the day of the wedding JayR came with two assistants which at first seemed like a lot (our photog we booked separately also brought two assistants) but as the day went on everyone blended in together and we hardly noticed they were there. JayR's assistants were also super friendly and helped make sure things went smoothly. (Especially Melissa who was so nice and calming while the girls and I were getting ready). We went on our honeymoon about a month after the wedding and were sent the link to the recap video while on our trip. It was amazing!!! We just loved it and were thrilled with how it turned out. It's so creative and beautifully edited. We cannot wait to see the full length video. We are so thankful to JayR and so happy that we decided to get video for the wedding, I know we would have regretted it forever if we didn't. JayR has given us a memory we will keep for a lifetime and every time we watch it it brings us right back to the happiest day of our lives.

We had such a great experience with J Castillo Films. He was very professional, very quick to respond to us and had an overall wonderful experience. The wedding felt a bit hectic and I dont remember much but looking at the recap JayR did, we were blown away with what they did for us. We are so grateful that we ended up getting a videographer and that it was J Castillo Films. We had a purely wonderful experience the entire way through. It was one of the easier parts of our wedding planning experience and we are so so happy with what came out of it all.

The Castillo team is truly remarkable! Their work speaks for itself. With just a few meetings Sigh and JayR knew exactly what Naveen and I were looking for! They were extremely professional and flexible and at the same time their work is outstanding! Being from the advertising industry, I was extremely picky and had high standards about my vendors and they did exactly what I wanted them to do for my highlight video! We did absolutely nothing, we went on our honeymoon, and as soon as we were back...BOOM and amazing recap video to relive our amazing wedding day....they picked out the song, captured the most important things from the most important day of my life...I was truly impressed, especially this being their first Indian wedding! I highly recommend them, you will not be disappointed! They are an absolute pleasure to work with. With their small handheld cameras (but highly qualified) we didn't even feel like they were there and were able to capture everything without coming in your way....they made the whole process seamless. We knew our wedding day would be wonderful, but our vendors are a large part of the reason the reality surpassed our vision. The way I discovered JR Films is rather interesting. I was at another photographer’s studio; he showed us examples of wedding video. John and I both decided we didn’t want video at our wedding because all the wedding videos we have seen have been boring and predictable. Once we saw JR’s work we knew that we had to have him. After searching the Internet for other versions of cinematography I couldn’t find anything that compared to JR’s work. I finally found JR’s website. We have been showing all of our friends and family members JR’s wedding films. I love seeing their face when they are watching his demo videos. I was very excited to meet JR and discuss his work. At our meeting he was knowledgeable, intelligent, and talented. I felt confident that JR would do an amazing job documenting our special day. I believe he will make our day into a work of art that we will be able to share with our family and friends.
