Julie is a sweet wonderful lady. From the start I knew as soon as i met her she would be the one to marry us. She explains everything in detail, has a slide show to show you all your opinions. Julie conducted our wedding ceremony on 9/9/12 at the Cop Cot Central park. As we were visiting NY from N Ireland in order to get married, good communication was a key factor when we were choosing an officiant. From day one, Julie was excellent at answering any queries we had. Everything ran really smoothly and she had a schedule planned to allow us to respond to a questionnaire (allowing her to write our ceremony). Julie has conducted loads of ceremonies and we definitely got the impression that she knew what she was doing. As a couple from the UK getting married in the USA, we were understandably a little nervous about the in's and out's of planning a wedding from overseas. Julie really set out minds at rest. Firstly she took the time to meet us (with no obligation) whilst we were in New York on holiday a year before the wedding. We knew straight away that she would be the perfect person to perform our ceremony. She (and her husband, Joe) were warm and friendly but also professional, and offered us plenty of information and ideas. From then on we emailed back and forth, and she never took more than just a few hours to respond to any queries we had. She made everything very easy for us. Julie sent us each a questionnaire to fill out, which she then used to create our personalised wedding ceremony. She was more than happy for us to make as many amendments as we wanted (not that we had many!). On the day, the ceremony went perfectly. Julie had everyone laughing as well as crying! We really can't recommend Julie highly ernough! She is an absolute star.

Our fantastic photographer, Brian Friedman, recommended Julie and we were thrilled with the beautiful ceremony she wrote for us! She was extremely professional and helpful and incorporated our personal story, feelings and thoughts expertly into the ceremony. Julie performed a same sex marriage for me and my partner the day before Easter. I found her through the Celebrant Institute www.celebrantinstitute.org. We live in the UK and it was a 'random' selection but absolutely the perfect match for us. We were first driven by location as the wedding was on Staten Island, my home town where Julie lives but she fit many other criteria. Importantly she was not only 'comfortable' marrying two women but is personally vocal about the right to same sex marriage and incorporated some very wise words about this in our ceremony and honoured the lesbian herstory of the location of the event, The Alice Austen House Museum aliceausten.org. Everything was arranged via email and one long phone call. We had less than 4 months to plan with Julie but her expert preparation, scripting and response to our ideas made the whole process go extremely smoothly. The ceremony had several elements in it including readings and prayers recited by friends and the inclusion of our two sons. It all flowed so well on the page and on the day it was just perfect. We didn't even have a rehearsal! Even though it was the first time we were meeting Julie in person we felt a special connection to her. She has great depth and presence as an officiator and many of our guests were very moved by the service.

It has been just over a month since I was married on March 31st, 2012 and looking back at the entire picture, the most meaningful part of the entire event was standing up at the alter, looking out at all of our loved ones. Julie Laudicina made the entire ceremony feel so special. We are a mixed marriage, my husband is Christian and I am Jewish, so we wanted an officiant to marry us so we could combine our two faiths in a non-denomination ceremony that would touch on both of our backgrounds. People still comment on how personal our ceremony was, and by the end we felt that Julie tailored a ceremony that was exactly what we wanted - it incorporated the importance of our families, my husband's and my love for one another, and our vows expressed our shared values and ideas of marriage. She made us feel comfortable standing up there in front of almost 200 people, providing a sense of calm and joy, which Julie naturally radiates. When my husband Matthew and I were planning our wedding back on April 30, 2011, my mom read an amazing article in the local Staten Island Advance newspaper about Julie Laudicina and how she had been officiating many wedding. When Matt and I met with Julie a few months before our wedding, we felt so comfortable with her and she went over how the officiating profess works. About 3 months prior to our wedding, Julie sent both of us questionarie that we both filled out about our love story and what we want for our marriage. A month after finishing the questions, Julie sent us a draft of what she would read at the wedding. I cried like a baby. She wrote an amazing wedding script and with a few changes, it was perfect. Julie also helped us put together our wedding program. On the wedding day, Julie met us an hour before the ceremony to give a run down of the ceremony. Once the ceremony started, to finally hear Julie read the ceremony script was amazing. It felt as if Julie really knew Matt and I and our guest were very impressed how she make the whole ceremony personal to us. Julie incorporated parts into our vows that were special to us and was open to hear our suggestions and ideas. Another part of the ceremony people enjoyed was when she included all our guest to answer questions about letting Matt and I into their lives and reminding them of our wedding day. Julie was professional, kept to a timeline/schedule, warm, kind and amazing. Matthew and I highly recommend Julie to anyone who needs an officiant for their wedding. After speaking or meeting once with Julie, she will blow you away with just how amazing and professional is she. Julie was brilliant. She was so helpful from start to finish. The ceremony which was extremely personal was very well written by Julie, and brought tears to our eyes. Julie was by far the most professional of any vendor we spoke with. We were extremely impressed with the speed that Julie put together her written speech, her responsiveness to emails and suggestions, and her willingness to modify her comments based on our recommendations. Julie's prompt responses to emails and incredibly quick alterations to the script gave us a feeling of security and comfort as the big day approached. (I wish that I could say the same for our other vendors!) On the wedding day itself it rained, and we were forced to make some last minute adjustments. Julie did a fantastic job as we expected and had no problems with the last minute changes. Apparently she did even better than we thought, as I literally received dozens of comments from our family and guests about what a great job she did. I consider myself to be a very harsh critic. I would very rarely ever recommend an individual, a product or a service. However, I can honestly say that I would not hesitate to recommend Julie and I really think it would be difficult to find someone better.

Julie was amazing!!!!!! She took our story of how we met and our relationship to follow and turned it into this beautiful love story about us that really captured every moment of our relationship. We have been married 4 months now and my guests still to this day talk about how wonderful and captivating our ceremony was. It was entertaining and sincere from beginning to end.

Julie Laudicina is truly an artist. For those brides who are looking for an intimate, non-denominational ceremony, Julie is the woman! Both my husband and I were crying throughout the ceremony because of how perfectly Julie captured who we are, what we mean to one another and our shared hopes as a married couple. Out of several celebrants that I contacted, Julie was the first to respond and in her response, provided me with an outline of information I would need to create a perfect wedding. If I emailed Julie with questions, she followed through within a day or less, always providing alternatives and suggestions. I recommend Julie without hesitation and plan to call on her services when my husband and I renew our vows!

Julie was great! Having already eloped, we wanted a re-commitment ceremony in front of our friends and family. Once we sat down with her it was clear she understood how we wanted our ceremony to be. Throughout the process, Julie was very responsive and creative- and helped create a wonderful ceremony. On the day, she and her husband Joe guided the wedding party very expertly, and everything went smoothly. She was very poised and adlibbed quite well when the need arose. We had many guests comment to us about how nice the ceremony was, and how perfectly suited it was for us. We highly recommend Julie for any type of ceremony- traditional or otherwise!

Julie Laudicina celebrated our union with grace, flair and such loveliness that I would recommend her in a heartbeat to anyone who wishes to have a wedding ceremony filled with personality. Our celebration was a very intimate outdoors affair, and Julie adapted it to exactly what we had in mind. We met her and her husband once, a few months before the wedding, and all exchanges afterwards were via emails. She ALWAYS responded promptly, and with very good ideas. She is a five star all the way, and we are very grateful.

I would love to say that Julie was wonderful. She made our wedding ceremony so special. Our whole ceremony was based on a story about our lives and how we are moving foward. Everyone loved it and thought she personalized it beautifully. I would strongly recommend having Julie perform anyone's wedding ceremony. I couldn't have asked for anyone better.

I don't have enough amazing things to say about Julie. Coming from different religions and having a mom who was adament about having a Rabbi, we knew this would be a tough "vendor" to pick. However, after meeting Julie, we immediately felt at ease. She genuinely wanted to get to know us so she could make the perfect ceremony. Her process works so well - you meet and have an informal interview. See how you feel, this is something that has to feel right because it is so personal. About 6 months before the wedding, you get a questionarre for bride & groom to fill out independently. Questions range from what you like most about the other, family, deceased, ceremonial rituals, etc. Julie then creates a custom ceremony incorporating everything from the answers we provided. Then you have the opportunity to go back and forth as many times as needed to get things just right. With Julie, it was so easy!! She'll create something spiritual and religious or very light and cheery. We got soooooo many compliments about our ceremony because it was so personal and so us! Including from my parents and Grandmother. Thank you Julie!!
