Anyone that has meet with wedding cake bakeries in NYC know what a challenge it can be to find a place that has beautiful AND delicious cakes. Our main priority was taste. My new husband has a major sweet tooth and the cake was about the only thing he cared about in all the wedding so I was determined to make sure it was delicious. Make My Cake was unpretentious and extremely pleasant to work with and the cake was easily the best cake , not just wedding cake, I have ever had. We attempted to save the top for the 1st year anniversary thing but it was pretty much gone within 2 days after returning from the honeymoon because it was just that good. It was also very beautiful and they designed the cake exactly as I requested. I cannot wait for another reason to use Make My Cake!!

Cake was delicious. We did not want the traditional Wedding Cake but instead selected the Red Velvet cake with cream cheese icing. Absolutely incredible, decadent and we received rave reviews from all out guests.

They made my blingy wedding cake and looked gorgeous and tasted wonderful all my guest loved it and wanted to know where I got it from. I got a 3 tier round butter cream frosting which was smooth as fondant. Andi had rhinestone banding with rhinestone initial cake toppers. It was so beautiful. Thank you again Mrs. Joann and your exceptional team. I will back we have our anniversary party and birthdays. Thanks again you guys. The cake tasted fabulous and looked exactly as designed. It's a small bakery and they can seem alittle disjointed but in the end they produced a great product as promised without a single glitch.

You can't beat the quality of the cake--it was delicious. Perhaps because they have two locations, it's hard to catch the woman who deals with the wedding orders but it take a little while to hear back sometimes. Also, we made clear to them that budget was an issue for us but no ideas for helping us ever came up. It was only after we spoke to someone else in the business who told us what could probably be done that they were ready to assist us in doing what we needed to do. Again, if someone is interested in a Black-owned business, this is one to consider.

Everything about this place, the quality of service and product is utterly exceptional. The website speaks for itself and the cake will leave you speechless! Try the Red Velvet- it's the best in North America!
