I found Tom on craigslist and booked him for my wedding. On my actual wedding Tom didn't do much and wasn't really seen. Both my mom and sister asked him if he is capturing certain moments because he was no where when they were happening. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt so i waited for my wedding video, when I got it I was terribly disappointed with the quality of work. He shot my whole ceremony from a balcony so all i have is an hour of the back of my guests heads. When I am walking down the isle with my father all you see is the back of us. The footage was also blurry and the sound was bad. He didn't put any of the important moments on the final edit and everything was shot in a close up mode. When I called him to talk about these things he acted very unprofessional towards me and didn't think there was anything to be resolved.

In terms of the ceremony, there was no space to shoot it from up front. The balcony offered the best vantage point to capture the entire thing.
I always tell my clients, that if they have a special request or any questions that they should ask or tell me before hand. Ilona and Arek did not do this.
Let me restate that I am very thorough and clear about the services that I offer both in writing and in person. Ilona and Arek have a legal contract that they signed that stipulates exactly the kind of video that they were to receive. Not only did I adhere to that agreement but I also gave them more, finishing the video way ahead of schedule, giving them extra copies, and even upgrading to HD without charging them.
If the couple had a special request, they should have let me know before hand. I am sorry that the video did not meet their expectations but I was very clear about what I would put together for them.
