You do NOT want to host a wedding ceremony and reception without Sarah Lusardi assisting you. She is the best. She has the 'full picture' of how the events should look and feel in her head and knows how to fully deliver your vision. She guides you gently to make key decisions at the appropriate time, and her execution on the "day of" is marvelous. She is responsive to questions, flexible with changes, detail-oriented, very reliable, and very professional. Having Sarah at my side during he planning and on the day of was the best decision I made to ensure my daughter's wedding was beautiful, meaningful, and fun too.

Sarah did an absolutely phenomenal job on our wedding. The flowers were breathtaking and above and beyond what we could have hoped for. She also acted as our wedding coordinator and we can't say enough about what a help she was. She was on top of all the details and was a calming presence, helping keep everyone sane. This is a quick "part 1" review but had to get on-line and give Sarah 5 stars. My husband and I would tell every couple with over 25 guest, to use an event planner. Sarah... amazingly helpful, proactive this list goes on. We would strongly recommend her for any event!!!

We hired Sarah Lusardi to do the flowers for our Bronx Zoo wedding a few weeks back, and I literally could not have asked for more in a floriest or vendor. Sarah is a consummate professional and remained remarkably patient over the year-long course of my wedding planning. She never once made me feel like a nutty bride or that my questions were frivolous. We reviewed a ton of pictures together in the planning process to ensure that Sarah had a good idea of what I liked and what I disliked. She paid VERY close attention to detail and the end result was simply magical. Sarah has impeccable and sophisticated taste and pays very close attention to detail. When I caught a first glimpse of my chuppah, my breath was taken away. The bride/bridesmaid bouquets were elegant, classy and lucious and the flowers couldn't have been fresher. Everything showed up when and where it was supposed to! We received numerous compliments on the flowers over the course of the evening and I had 2 guests email me for Sarah's contact info in the weeks following the wedding. I would hire Sarah again in a heartbeat and can say without reservation that I couldn't imagine anyone, anywhere, doing a better job than Sarah and her team.

Saying our wedding flowers were all we hoped for and more is an understatement. Sarah absolutely hit it out of the park with all of the flowers - every one of the details was so much better than we even imagined. The flowers lining the pergola, the aisle arrangements, the petals in the aisle, the centerpieces, the bouquets, the corsages, the ceremony arrangements, the orchids on the manzanita branches, the peony for the cake... all were so absolutely perfect. I think our many emails to her were probably as clear as mud, and she still managed to somehow read our minds and deliver exactly what we wanted. I would highly recommend her to anyone.

Sarah of Engaging Floral Designs was an absolutely wonderful florist! After meeting with her on a chilly spring day to discuss my vision for the flowers and the wedding overall, we could tell by her knowledge, attention to detail and beautiful work that she was the florist for us! She is very good at what she does and made suggestions as to what flowers would accompany each other well based on what types I had my heart set on and what our color scheme was. The final products were absolutely beautiful and we couldn't have been happier! We also ran in to a unique and unfortunate situation - our wedding was scheduled for August 28, 2011, and when Hurricane Irene threatened the east coast with dangerous weather, we were forced to postpone to October. Sarah was very flexible, helpful, understanding and reassuring in our stressful time of rescheduling and was able to work with us on our new date as well as provide us with all of the original flowers we had discussed originally, rather than having to rework our entire scheme for fall (which we still cannot thank her enough for!) Even when we ran in to potential timing hiccups on the day of the wedding, she was extremely accommodating in making sure we had our arrangements as quickly as possible for photos. Guests still rave about how beautiful the arrangements and our chuppah was, and I dried and preserved as much of my bouquet as I could! She was extremely professional but also incredibly nice - an absolute joy to work with! If you're looking for beautiful and unique work done by one of the sweetest people in the industry, I highly recommend working with Sarah!

We hired Sarah as the florist and day-of coordinator for our wedding. My mom and I were designing and hand-making almost every little detail, so we really wanted the flowers to match our vision. As we planned the wedding we made a few changes to the color palette and budget and Sarah worked with us through them. She is very detail-oriented and reliable, which meant I did not have to sweat the small stuff on my big day. In the end, all of the flowers - from the altar, to the favor table - were beautiful. The table centerpieces were especially gorgeous, we got many compliments on those. After our wedding my maid of honor decided to hire Sarah for her wedding as well. My wedding flowers were everything I'd hoped they would be, Sarah did such an amazing job! She was so easy to work with and paid attention to our likes and dislikes and the results were simply gorgeous! Everyone at the wedding loved the flowers and the guests who brought centerpieces home reported back that 1) the flowers lasted for a long time and 2) everyone who saw them asked where they had gotten such beautiful flowers! Sarah was our DOC for our wedding in October and we couldn't have been happier with everything she helped out with (and there was a LOT). Let me begin this review by admitting I’m completely clueless and relatively unimpressed with flowers. But when planning my wedding I knew I definitely “needed” (and wanted) the obligatory bouquets and centerpieces. And as a total perfectionist who planned most every single detail of my wedding myself, I knew I needed to find the right florist- another perfectionist whose professionalism and pride in their work would ensure I had beautiful floral arrangements, even without specific instructions and expectations outlined in detail. I also knew I needed someone who could respond quickly and thoroughly to all inquiries. Sarah fit the bill! I gave Sarah some pretty general ideas and style preferences with a relatively strict budget. She was very respectful of my budget and completely understood the style and look I was aiming for. I was not disappointed in the slightest on our wedding day! All of our bouquets looked so fresh and beautiful- the pictures are really stunning. The ceremony space (outside in the fall) looked lovely and for a very reasonable price. And our centerpieces were beautiful- exactly what I had in mind. I received so many compliments on those and a girlfriend who took one home told me her home smelled wonderful for a week! I really could not have been happier with Sarah’s services and am so grateful we entrusted her with our wedding floral arrangements!

Sarah Lusardi was one of the best things that could have happened to me on my wedding day. I could not have done my wedding without her or her services! Not only were my vendors impressed with her, but my entire family commented on what a kind, professional and awesome day-of coordinator I had. She planned with me up until the event, letting me email her at all hours and she was nothing but patient and responsive. We covered all the aspects of the wedding, and the day of was so smooth I actually had a blast at my own wedding. I was not stressed out at all because I trusted her and knew she would handle everything and all the bumps that could possibly happen. She is worth SO MUCH MORE THAN SHE CHARGES. We used NY Engagements/Engaging florals for my daughters wedding in July 2010. Sarah Lusardi provided the invitations and flowers. When I first met Sarah I was very frustrated trying to decide on a florist. I sat down with Sarah and within 5 minutes I knew I had found the right person! She is very creative and was able to present a plan to me right then and there that I loved and was within my budget. The flowers were absolutely beautiful at the wedding and I received many compliments from my guests. She also helped me with the invitations and wording. She was very knowledgable about ettiquette and was able to advise me through out the entire process. I will definitely use Sarah again when my other daughter gets married. She was without a doubt the best vendor I used!

STRONG RECOMMENDATION FROM RECENT "MOTHER OF THE BRIDE" (MOB) We first met and spoke with Sarah Lusardi of NY Engagements about 10 months prior to the June 5, 2010 wedding. After my daughter's research and follow up with Sarah's references, we decided to contract with Sarah for the flowers and for her help 3 weeks prior to the wedding. This was one of the best and wisest decisions we made for the wedding!! As the "Mother of the Bride" ( MOB), I strongly suggest and recommend contracting NY ENGAGEMENTS owned and lead by Sarah for your wedding or other special event! IT WILL BE YOUR BEST INVESTMENT AND YOU WILL GET 100%+ RETURN FOR YOUR MONEY! I work full-time and so does my daughter (& she was getting her MA degree this past yr also)/ We knew that we'd need help with all the details towards the final weeks before and especially "the big day". Sarah is a true professional! She was always responsive, a great listener and follows through. Her calm, low key style along with her excellent attention to detail and fantastic organization skills help make the hectic months and especially the days before the wedding more manageable and enjoyable. Here are two great examples to validate hiring Sarah: 1-On the afternoon right at rehearsal,( eve before the Sat wedding) we noted that caterer/vendor set up tents in the wrong place at our wedding site. My daughter and her fiance were upset and tried to reach this caterer to get this changed in time for the wedding the next day. We had the rehesarsal dinner and cocktail reception immediately after the rehearsal. We had no time to deal with the caterer/vendor to rectify this error. Sarah was with us coordinating the rehearsal (& She did a great job!) immediately took action and told us she'd take care of this. And she did. By the time we returned late that evening after the rehearsal dinner, Sarah had spoken with the caterer/vendor and everything was corrected and tents were where we had wanted! If we did not have Sarah, MOB, Father of the Bride, my daughter and fiance would not have been able to enjoy the rehearsal dinner and cocktail reception. 2 - Sarah was fantastic the day of the wedding. She was there when we needed her and she took the initiative to anticipate your needs. Into the later part of the reception, I had no idea that the liquor was running low. I found out the next day that Sarah resolved the problem without any disruption. I learned that she had contacted a local vendor for the additional liquor we needed and everything went on without missing a beat and no one noticed a thing. Everyone was happy and having fun enjoying themselves. Thanks to Sarah and her team, our daughter's wedding was a real celebration for all especially for MOB (& Father of the Bride, Bride and Groom) because we were able to step back a bit and truly enjoy this special time!

Working with Sarah was the best choice that we made in our wedding planning process. She is absolutely on top of every single detail and made sure that things went absolutely perfectly. We could not have had the perfect wedding that we did without her. Sarah was recommended to us by a friend who used her services, and I have to admit that before I met her I thought we didn't need a wedding coordinator. When she showed up for our initial meeting exactly on time and completely prepared, I thought it would be a good idea to hire her, but still wasn't completely convinced it was necessary. But I have to admit, as soon as we started working together I realized that the value she brought far outweighed the cost and I can say definitively now that our wedding day is done, it was because of Sarah that our wedding day was smooth, seamless, well-coordinatoed and fun for everyone involved.

We hired NY Engagements and Engaging Floral Designs for Day-Of Wedding Coordination and Floral Design and they were by far our favorite wedding vendors. We were not sure what kind of floral arrangements we wanted for the ceremony and reception, so Sarah sat down with us to help us come up with a general design. At the meeting, she looked at photos of my wedding dress, the bridesmaids dresses and some magazine clippings of centerpieces and bouquets we liked and she discussed possible designs that would work to create the look we wanted in our wedding venue (Sarah was also very familiar with our wedding venue, which was very helpful). Once we decided on the general design, we arranged for Sarah to make a sample centerpiece so that we could see it in person (it was gorgeous!). We discussed the general look and colors for the ceremony and bridal party flowers with Sarah, but left the details completely up to her. On our wedding day, we were completely blown away! The ceremony room was absolutely beautiful! The chuppah was covered in greenery and flowers, there were candles on the mantles, petals down the aisle, aisle markers on the chairs and floral wreaths on the doors (there were probably more details that I missed). My bouquet was gorgeous and worked perfectly with my dress (I liked it so much I arranged for Sarah to have it preserved for me after the wedding) and the bridal party flowers were prettier than I ever imagined. The centerpieces were also beautiful and worked perfectly in the reception room. Sarah and her team also did an amazing job with the Day-Of Wedding Coordination. I honestly don't know what I would have done without them. They checked in with all of our vendors a few weeks before the wedding to coordinate logistics, and again a couple days before the wedding to confirm any final details, etc....and thank God she did! It turned out that our transportation company (that was providing shuttle bus and limo service for our bridal party and the majority of our guests) sold their business a few days or so before our wedding without saying anything to us or to Sarah and the new company didn't have our contract or enough shuttles/limos to satisfy our contract. If Sarah and her team hadn't followed up with our vendors a couple days before the wedding, we never would have known this and we wouldn't have had transportation to our wedding!! Sarah and her team handled the entire situation, they worked with the new transportation company and contacted other transportation companies that they worked with in the area to take care of the transportation issue. She also had someone stay at the hotel to make sure that guests knew where to go to get on the shuttles and to make sure that the transportation was taken care of. At the wedding, Sarah and her team took care of all the little details so that we could just sit back and enjoy the day (and we did!). I honestly do not know all of the things that Sarah and her team did behind the scenes, but I know it was a lot because I didn't have to think about a thing on my wedding day and everything ran smoothly...all of the little things that were supposed to happen throughout the day happened, the tips were handed out and the gifts and all the wedding items had already been loaded into the limo when I got in at the end of the night. I would highly recommend NY Engagements and Engaging Floral Designs.

I hired Sarah Lusardi to for "as-needed" consultation leading up to the wedding and day-of assistance for the wedding itself. She was super responsive, extremely helpful, and very thorough for both services. Having access to her during my planning gave me peace of mind and helped me avoid making any unfixable mistakes. Her day-of services were invaluble. She helped me take care of the things I missed weeks rather than days before the event, and having her there on the day-of to take care of any problems and communicate with my vendors when I couldn't or didn't want to made the wedding a hundred times more enjoyable than it otherwise would have been. I would recommend Sarah in a second.

I hired Sarah to be our event coordinator for the day of the wedding, which is to say, she came on board 3 weeks prior to the day of. I also hired her to do all the decor and floral arrangements. To be honest, at the beginning I was a little worried b/c I couldn't see the flowers she was talking about, and had no idea what the flowers would look like the day of (I don't know flowers). I had an idea, but b/c I didn't know what each flower was like, and even when I google imaged them, I still had no idea what they would look like all together. But she told me to trust her, and I did, b/c she was professional, and experienced, and spoke like she knew her stuff, and I'd never planned a wedding before! Not only the guests were blown away at the wedding by her decor and floral arrangements, but my husband and I were too as we walked in. She worked well with our budget. She was professional, firm, but not cold at all, rather warm and sweet in dealing with our eclectic, often loud, and completely multi-cultural family, and our various vendors. When my family members began arriving from out of town, she had had all the important phone numbers needed, and she took care of EVERYTHING from that point onward, staying in communication with all my vendors so I could just take care of entertaining my friends and family as they arrived. I wouldn't have been able to do any of that without her. It should also be said that my husband, Sarah, and I put all this together within three months, and it turned out AMAZING. My dream wedding! I would recommend Sarah to ANYONE getting married!

Sarah and her team were fantastic. I worked with her for over a year, starting with Save the Dates and invitations, all the way through floral/event design and day-of coordination. From the beginning, Sarah was always extremely professional, but friendly. She is not a stereotypical NYC wedding planner whose motto is "my way or the highway." She worked with me extensively to help implement MY vision, even when I wasn't sure what exactly it was. Although she let me run with my ideas, she was always there to offer advice and expertise. She really achieved the perfect balance of helpful and not overbearing or bossy. The decor at the wedding was beautiful. It was exactly what I wanted even though I obviously never saw it fully put together until that night. We really lucked out and the weather was fantastic, enabling us to do our photos and ceremony outside, but Sarah worked with me to come up with Plans B and C when the forecast was for terrible weather. I'm sure there was a lot to deal with behind the scenes on the wedding day, but I wouldn't know because everything was literally perfect and seamless, thanks to Sarah and her team. And that's exactly how it should have been. The last couple of weeks were pretty hectic for me and Sarah was always available to answer my questions, implement changes I made at the last minute and take on even more than i'd already put on her plate, etc. Despite the fact that she was busily working on other weddings and other aspects of my wedding, she never made me feel like I was being demanding or hassling her (even though at times I may have been...). I was fortunate to have a lot of time to plan my wedding and I didn't need a full-time planner. Nonetheless, there are unexpected issues and details that come up, especially in the last week, that a bride-to-be shouldn't have to handle all on her own. One of the most valuable things Sarah did for me was to deal with all the last-minute correspondence and different opinions of all the different vendors: venue, band, photographer, videographer, etc. When things started getting a stressful for me, I spoke with Sarah, conveyed my thoughts and concerns and asked her to be my voice with each vendor so I could concentrate on other things. She did so and didn't "bother" me again until everything was settled. I can't tell you how helpful this was! This is when Sarah really earned her fee, which was very reasonable to begin with. Even if you think you won't need this service, spend the extra money if you have it in your budget. It is worth every last penny. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Engaging Floral Designs/NY Engagements LLC and Sarah in particular and would recommend her and the company to any bride-to-be.

We used Sarah Lusardi's services for flowers/decorations and invitations and everything came out absolutely perfectly. The value was incredible for the floral pieces she produced. She had a great selection of invitations and was super flexible, even when we changed our minds a thousand times!! I cannot recommend her highly enough.

Flawless Execution. Sarah Lusardi served in a dual capacity for my wedding -- day-of coordinator and floral designer. From our very first conversation, Sarah was professional, prepared and punctual. For the floral design she listened to my ideas and crafted affordable options for me to consider. The results were stunning! The flowers were more beautiful than I ever imagined. Our guests spent a considerable amount of time photographing the decor. It was unforgettable. Hiring Sarah as my day-of coordinator meant that I was able to enjoy my wedding (which was what I wanted most). I was able to turn all of details over to her without worrying. I spent a considerable amount of time and effort planning this event, and Sarah executed these plans flawlessly (and the wedding started at the appointed hour). One month after the event we're still getting calls and messages from guests telling us how wonderful the day was for them. We couldn't have done it without Sarah. For both floral design and day-of coordination services, I recommend NYEngagements without reservation.

We booked Sarah at NY Engagements for both our flowers and invitations for our wedding. I thought the invitations came out great, and Sarah had a nice selection of different invitations. Also, she was very responsive when it came to additional invitations and changes to any invititions. While we were very satisfied with the invitations, it was in the floral design where Sarah's talents really shined. To be frank, we were blown away with the flowers, and never could have imagined getting as much as we did. We were on a tight budget, and met with a number of florists who were unwilling to work with us. Sarah had a much different attitude, and was willing to be very creative in getting us everything we wanted within our budget. She was also the only florist who told us that we would be able to afford a chuppah within our budget (not only was the price of the chuppah extremely reasonable, but it ended up being as beautiful, if not more beautiful than any others we've seen at other weddings). As for the reception, the flowers were really beautiful and really popped, and we got many compliments on them throughout the night and days after. We did half of the tables with high vases, and half with low vases which created a nice look. The last thing that I would like to add is that the day before our wedding, we realized that we had given Sarah an incorrect table count, and had one less centerpiece than table. Sarah was able to create one more centerpiece, from the extra flowers that she had ordered, and everything went off without a hitch. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with NY Engagements, and we are so very thankful of the work that Sarah put in. I honestly do not believe that we could have gotten a better value for our budget with anyone else.

We (the bride {my daughter}, and myself) decided that we wanted to have a wedding coordinator for the day of the wedding. Sarah went beyond the call of duty. We met with her three weeks before the wedding and went over everything that had been planned along with what needed to still be completed. She emailed us with a to do list for us and for herself. As we responded to this list she would update it. She was always responsive to emails and phone calls. We were always able to communicate with her. She did all the functions of a wedding coordinator as if she had coordinated the whole wedding. The weekend of the wedding which was outdoors was the heat wave in New York. Janna, the bride :), called Sarah about buying fans for the guests. Sarah bought the fans even though that was not part of her job description. We felt secure knowing that everything that had been planned for was going to be done. The wedding was wonderful and a good part of that was Sarah. Hiring Sarah at NY Engagements was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding. She is such a creative person - although I had ideas for how I wanted the wedding to look, she brought to the table numerous suggestions that made things even better and more detailed. Sarah was always super prepared and on time for our meetings. Countless guests commented how beautiful the venue looked. The best part of all was, with her help, my family and friends never had to worry about a thing on wedding day. Sarah and her team really pulled things together smoothly, efficiently, and perfectly! My maid of honor/twin sister "gifted" me Sarah's services as a day of coordinator for my July 7th wedding. I had already retained most of my vendors but Sarah did provide some assistance with locating a good hair/makeup person and with finding a limo company. However, Sarah's primary role was to serve as my insurance policy on the big day. I planned and paid for everything on my own and knowing my worry wart tendencies my sister wanted me to focus on enjoying the day. Sarah met with me a few months before and reviewed my vendor contracts, prepared a comprehensive list of "to dos" -(-many of which, despite my incredibly thorough research and planning I hadn't thought of) and provided strategic suggestions for how to make the day flow smoothly. She also gave me some useful templates including seating chart layouts and a day of contact sheet Days before the wedding she contacted all my vendors and confirmed that they were all a-go and knew where to be and when and how to get there. The day before the wedding she attended the rehearsal, took my programs, amenity basket and favors as well as the payments to distribute to my vendors who needed to be paid on the day of. On the actual day she made sure everything was set up the way it was supposed to be, including distributing flowers to the wedding party, ensuring the readers were seated in locations so they could quickly access the lecturn, directing guests from the church to the reception venue, gathering everyone for photos (which can be quite challenging with a large family), ensuring the band performed in accord with my play list and generally making sure I was blissfully ignorant to any hiccups. At the end of the night (which can be chaotic) she gathered everything and made sure I had all my stuff--including my veil which I had mislaid at some point in the evening and assisting a guest in locating their camera. In sum she was incredibly organized, professional and very diligent. I worked with very well known, high end vendors and the chances of anything going awry was probably very low, but knowing Sarah was there just in case something did not go according to plan, allowed me to get much needed pre-wedding sleep. My wedding went off with out a hitch and I do believe that was due in part thanks to Sarah.

She also saved the day when the venue accidentally threw away my flowers; Sarah had fresh long-stem white roses delivered to the site within a very short time and the place looked amazing.
