We thoroughly enjoyed working with Simon (DJ Taiga / Remixologists) for our April 2013 wedding! Reflecting on the process of working with Simon, I would qualify him as customer-oriented, patient, diligent, timely, and a ton of fun. He is a professional at what he does and working with him could not have been easier. I booked our wedding with Simon nearly 12 months before our wedding, and while that was very early, he was very responsive and treated us with care. Simon was very responsive and easy to get a hold of throughout the whole process. He replied to emails within 24 hours (most cases sooner), and if we needed to talk, he was always happy to jump on Skype or a Google Hangout with us (even though we were sometimes late or have connectivity issues). In the month leading up to the wedding, Simon gave us templates to help select our songs. He worked with us to make sure he got all of our family name pronunciations correct. When we sent him our reception schedule for input, he made sure to read it in detail and suggest changes based on his deep experience of past weddings. He worked with us to select reception entry songs and on ideas to close out the night. Also, at the last minute, we found out our school had made it into the Final Four (Go Blue!), and made the difficult decision to show the game at our reception. Simon worked with us on those details and struck a great balance of having the game on in the background while keeping most of our 230 guests on the dance floor. The wedding day itself went without a hitch. Simon nailed the reception music throughout the dinner itself. He kept the party rocking all night with a great balance of songs. We wanted to start old school to get the older folks on the dance floor with us, then progress to latest hits as the night progressed. He worked it the crowds really well. We had a blast dancing the whole night away. Long review, but much deserved. Simon - thanks for everything!

DJ Mike was absolutely amazing to work with. He was highly organized, communicative while being laid back and easy going. It is the perfect combination for a DJ and for planning such a fun and exciting event as a wedding. DJ Mike stated that he would not be a "cheesy" DJ - and that he would let the music "speak for itself." He combined our requests and was able to mix amazing music for a crowd of all ages. He was a true pleasure to work with and we had an stellar party. Many many people complimented our music and the dance floor was packed ALL night long. He also was great with getting sound organized for the ceremony and working with our musician. A true pleasure and a dang good DJ.

We highly recommend Simon as a DJ. From the beginning, Simon was always very responsive and extremely professional. We met a month before the wedding to go over all the details and Simon was flexible and listened to all our requests. On the day of the wedding, the music and flow of everything went so smoothly. I hired DJ Taiga (The Remixologists) for my wedding this past weekend, December 1, and he is what the Yelp reviews say about him, an awesome DJ! Since my first contact with him back in July 2012, DJ Taiga (Simon) has been very accomodating and responsive to my emails upto my wedding date. He didn't mind that I kept emailing him with multiple song requests and amending the wedding schedule, even on my wedding date. He played the right mix of songs from oldies to current stuff. All my guests complemented to me that he was the right DJ for a great wedding. When my special guest, Colin Farrell showed up, DJ Taiga was surprised but he and his staff kept it cool and did not ask to take photos with Colin, that showed me that DJ Taiga was a true professional and I respected him for it. A great DJ was quite important for us: it makes or breaks the party. So, we took quite a bit of time to find someone who understands us. DJ Taiga (Simon) stood out right away. Both the fact the he got what we were looking for and his professionalism reassured us that the music would be in very good hands with DJ Taiga for our special day. And indeed, we were both extremely thrilled to work with the Remixologists. From the very professional preparation (including some pretty valuable suggestions), over the very clean and stylish introductions, to mixing needlessly together Elgar's cello concerto with Ethiopian music from the 70s, or current dance music with Dutch folk songs (believe me, that is not easy). He succeeded in getting everyone on the dance floor (even my dad who normally doesn't dance). Not just for a few songs, but for the entire dance party! We couldn't count the number of guest who afterwards commended us on how good the music/DJ was. Thank you Simon!

DJ Taiga was simply superb. He had worked at our venue before, which was certainly helpful, but even if he hadn't, he would have made everything work. He was friendly and polite and funny and when we wanted something done, he did it for us, from remixing our first dance songs into one mp3 so that we could practice properly. He was ever-present throughout our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception, but never in our faces. In fact, friends who are getting married at our wedding requested his contact details because they liked him so much. We'd definitely use DJ Taiga and the Remixologists if we er, ever decide to get remarried (to each other, of course!)

Simon of the Remixologist was the DJ and MC for my wedding. He is organized and super responsive (without being overbearing). I cannot thank him enough for being flexible (there were last minute changes, literally, DURING the reception and he was quick to react and kept everything moving smoothly). He has a very diverse library of music and nothing was too difficult for him to pull or obtain. But I guess every DJ would have this but what everyone should really know is Simon was professional and although he lived 3 hours away, he arrived early to set up and this was during tornado weather. It is so important to hire someone that is reliable and Simon is definitely reliable. (Take it from me that it is so important to hire a vendor that have good work etiquette/ethics and is dependable. I couldn't say that about all the vendors I hired for my wedding day but I was understanding due to inclement weather.) Even my in-laws were late to my reception and Simon (as an MC) could not move forward with introductions which threw the schedule a bit, but he recovered and it takes someone with experience to be able to handle such situations. I am beyond happy with the services Simon provided and have no reservations in recommending him!

Mike from remixologist was a GREAT to work with, he lived up to our expectations and more. Setting up meetings was very easy and he was very accomodating, Mike drove all the way from Philly to Queens NY with is easy 2 and 1/2 hr drive. Emails were returned very fast. He provided us with a schedule of the days event which he sat down with us and tweeked. Logisitcs and liabilty insurance was easy coordinated with our banquet manager. Now for the real important stuff, the music. We provided mike with songs we liked then he make an awesome playlist for our wedding. This is no ipod DJ, I took a glance at his equipment and it was top notch. You can tell Mike loves music, from the popular mainstream to the obscure. Our dance floor was packed from start to finish. NO cheesy transitions or corny wedding music. Loved every song he played and believe us when I say me and my wife are picky with song selections. DJ'ing was just that he was DJ'ing not just playing music. In all DJ'ing was awesome and Mike was a a pleasure to work with. 2 guest at our wedding also wanted to book him for there wedding. Enough said.

choosing the right dj for your wedding is one of the hardest vendors to choose. it will pretty much decide whether or not your guests have fun and your wedding is a success. that being said, we are so glad to have found dj mike! he is not only a pleasure to work with, he is an amazing dj! he was always in communication with us and made the process of planning so easy and even fun. i was the worst bride ever and didn't get any of our song selections to him until the night before and he just went with it. i could tell he truly cared and wanted us to have the most perfect wedding music that matched us. as it became closer to the date he emailed me reminders, scheduled phone calls and made suggestions, all in the most patient and easy sort of way. on the day of he was there before me and pretty much all set up already. amazing! everyone raved about dj mike during and even after our wedding! we explained to him that we wanted him to throw in a lot of old school music that we grew up with. he completely understood and all night he played current songs and would throw in oldies but goodies that made the guests go nuts! even my mother had to borrow some flip flops just so she could dance the night away. i think she might even be dj mikes biggest fan. i must say that if i wasn't in a big poofy wedding dress the dance floor definitely could have easily been mistaken for a club. so high energy and packed from corner to corner. needless to say we are so happy with dj mike and the job he did. there are so many more details that i could mention about how he went above and beyond for us on our wedding day, but my reviews getting a little too lengthy! if you are looking for a wedding dj, the remixologists are HIGHLY recommended!

Having DJ Taiga (Simon) from the remixologists as our wedding DJ was one of the best choices we could have ever made for our wedding!  He is amazing, professional, helpful, and worked with us to create the atmosphere and the party that we and our guests loved.  In our minds, music was going to be one of the most important parts of our wedding, so we spent a lot of time searching and reviewing various DJs.  We love to dance and wanted our friends and family to have a great time at our reception.  We didn't want someone who would just shuffle through an iPod of songs that we had picked without reading the crowd, and we also didn't want a DJ who would spend ten minutes transitioning from one song to the next without our guests getting to hear the songs they love and recognize.   After meeting with Simon, we knew he and the Remixologists were for us.  He genuinely loves music and dancing like we do, he was fun to talk to, always prompt in his responses, and after looking at a list of songs that we loved, he was immediately able to read us and select other songs that were perfect for us.  As wedding novices ourselves, Simon was also key in our event planning.  He gave us a 'general' reception schedule to help us know when things typically go down (cake cutting, speeches, and such), which really helped us tailor our day.  He also easily improvised throughout the evening when changes or requests came up, and seamlessly set up and moved his station three times: for the ceremony on an outdoor patio, to our indoor cocktail hour, to our reception in the indoor banquet hall. Ultimately, we had a wedding and reception (7/14/2012) with guests from toddlers to grandparents, and since that day EVERYONE has told us that they loved our party and nearly everyone remained on the dance floor throughout the entire evening.  All thanks to DJ Taiga!!

DJ Mike was easy to work with, always available to change and fine tune the music selections. Guests had a great time dancing throughout the night. In addition to our playlist, DJ Mike played modern music and was accommodating to guest requests

Of all the vendors we had to choose for our wedding, DJ was by far the most difficult - until we encountered the Remixologists. After sifting through countless website videos of all these 'DJs' (I hate to even use the term as it's an insult to legit DJs) who basically just want to press play on an iPod and make themselves into the star of the show, I was done. I swore there were DJs out there who were about the music. And Simon most definitely is. We stumbled upon the website and sang and danced in our own living room to a great mix Simon had posted. It only got better when we spoke to him via Skype, getting a great feel for a guy who really cares about people, making their day as special as they dream it to be. Really, Simon is about as affable and likable a guy as I can remember meeting - it was like I had my friend spinning music at my wedding even though it was our first meeting in person. Correspondence was excellent throughout and he handled my Groomzilla playlist beautifully. He also was happy to travel the more than two hours to Cape May for our wedding from northern NJ. Simon came through with flying colors on some curveballs we hadn't even realized we were throwing at him. To get us to kiss, guest tables had to stand up together and sing a song from a clue at their table. Instead of just singing, the tables surprising began asking Simon to cue up the song. And he came through for each table, right on the spot. It's worth noting, Simon has a different style of DJing - it is very much a 'club' style of DJing. Fast hits, one minute or so per track, which keeps the energy level at a peak. There's no such thing as that mass exodus from the dance floor when some boring song comes on. Simon's taste is better than that for one, but the high volume of songs keeps everyone on their toes, literally! Basically, it was fantastic have Simon spin the music at our wedding, making sure we were the stars of the show along the way. You'll be happy if you choose Simon and the Remixologists for your wedding, too.

Our wedding was on 5/26/12 and after reading the reviews and speaking to Simon (Taiga) we booked him right away. And there were definitely no regrets.  Simon was prompt in responding to emails and had provide many suggestions for our wedding.  We provided him with a must play list and he incorporated it into our wedding seamlessly and all our guest had a great time. After the wedding we received many positive feedback from our guests. Simon and our Photographer, Tony from True Love Wedding, worked with the reception throughout the night.  Without them I do not think the event would have been this smooth. And I believe this was the first time he worked with Tony and the reception place.   I would definitely recommend the Remixologist for any event you may be planning!  Thanks Simon for a perfect and memorable night that is such an important part of our lives!!

We hired Simon (DJ Taiga) and The Remixologists for our wedding in March, and we were not disappointed. Simon was extremely responsive and professional from the very start, and he continued to be so throughout the entire process, right up until the end of the reception. He played an integral part in helping us to plan the best flow for the day and was always ready with thoughtful tips and suggestions. As for his spinning skills, we could not have been happier! Several guests came up to us afterward to compliment our choice of DJ. Simon took the song selections we gave him and used that to create a personalized playlist suited perfectly to our musical tastes. The transitions between tracks were absolutely seamless. He kept our guests entertained and had people dancing until the very last song. Everyone had an amazing time--Simon definitely played a huge part in that. We can't thank Simon and The Remixologists enough for helping to make our big day even more special. You won't regret hiring them either!

This review is long overdue. My wedding was in November and The Remixologists were an integral piece to our smooth sailing wedding day. Whether it was helping us coordinate a day of schedule, to providing us with song ideas, to being as flexible as possible when scheduling changed last minute, The Remixologists (most notably Simon - DJ Taiga) ensured that our day went off without a hitch and our guests had fun. My guests thoroughly enjoyed everything from the dinner music to the music played on the dance floor during the reception to the emceeing provided. The only small complaint I had was that the projection screen provided for the slideshows were a little too small and the projector made the coloring of the pictures a little weird (not a big deal) Other than that, we and our guests unanimously agree that our DJ choice was great and everyone had a fantastic time. We hired Simon (DJ Taiga) for our wedding, and we were really happy with our choice. He was really responsive and organized, and lacked the cheese factor that you get with a lot of wedding DJs. He also DJ'ed the ceremony and that went off without a hitch. If you're looking for a good DJ that's very attentive (not flaky or vague) to what you want, I highly recommend the Remixologists.

Simon is extremely professional and responsive, which are vital traits for any good vendor. He met with us to go over the song list and went down to the venue and provided us with sound advice regarding lighting, use of microphone and I-pods. He actually helped us save money rather than pushed his services on us. Super funny, professional, and easy going, you can tell he loves music and what he does. He acted as a MC and DJ and kept everyone dancing. We had a great time thanks to Simon, and it was a pleasure working with him. He made the entire process incredibly smooth and easy.

THESE GUYS ROCK!!!!!!!!!!! We were coming down to the wire trying to find a good DJ. We went through about half a dozen interviews before finding someone we could trust for our big day! The first thing that struck our eye was the professional website and the mixes they provided on their site. As soon as we met with these guys my wife and I were 100% on board! They are super professional but also laid back and easy to work with. They were very responsive to our emails/calls and we were never left in the dark. We gave them some of our music tastes and song suggestions, which were all over the place, and they totally made it their own but kept it within our parameters and just killed it! The wedding went completely smooth and we didn't have to worry about a thing. We didn't' see any of our guests sitting down, everyone was up dancing and partying! Since the reception we have got endless praises from all our guests, asking me for their info and who they were. They rocked it! These guys came down from NY during the weekend of Hurricane Irene to DJ our wedding. Think about that for a minute. While the Hurricane was messing up people's flights/busses all over the East Coast, they still made the trip down! In the months prior to our event, they were extremely responsive and attentive to our requests, even up to the last minute. When things started getting hectic during the reception, they effectively doubled as pseudo-wedding planners as well.

Simon was exceptional at our wedding. I was so happy with every aspect of his services from music selection to ease of preparations. He was flexible, meeting all of our last minute requests, and he was the first vendor to arrive on site the day of the wedding (even before me!), regardless of the fact that he'd traveled the farthest distance to get there. I was a little worried about song selection initially since so many different types of people were at our wedding, but I left feeling that everyone had a great time thanks to Simon's extensive skills. I mean there were people heavily sweating because they just could not leave the dance floor. Last but not least, Simon is one of the friendliest people you will meet and his wife, who assisted that day, is such a sweetheart and even helped me bustle my dress when my bridesmaids left me high and dry... Needless to say, they exceeded my expectations by far. Thanks guys!

My husband and I hired The Remixologists for our August wedding. I should first say, that our wedding wasn't the typical wedding because we were having two full traditional ceremonies, some of it outside, some of it inside and it lasted from 3-11:30. And with all that said, prior to the wedding, Simon was amazing at getting back to us in a timely manner, at helping us find music for the Hindu ceremony, and on the day of the wedding Simon was great at providing the best music throughout the day and at handling unexpected situations like a cousin wanting to do a 4 minute dance solo during dinner. I can't say enough how awesome The Remixologists are. Every single guest that attended our wedding said they had an AMAZING time. The staff at the venue said they haven't had a wedding like ours in such a long time. I partly think that this is because of the The Remixologists. I didn't sit down once. I took a moment to survey the room during the reception and EVERYONE was dancing even my dad, and I've never seen my dad even tap a toe before. If I ever need a DJ in the future, I will be calling The Remixologists. Thank you guys for helping us great such an unforgettable day!

Simon (Taiga) and the Remixologists were a big hit at our wedding. We received numerous positive comments during the wedding and afterwards regarding the music selection, the flow of the music and the professionalism of the DJ staff. They were more than willing to accommodate our requests whether big or small such as having a screen projector for our slideshow, play video clips/sound clips during the best men speeches and even helped pick songs when our parents requested special music for ballroom dancing! There was not one single complaint about the song choices, Simon was able to judge the energy of the crowd and transition songs seamlessly to keep the party going. Simon was there for us every step of the way, from the beginning helping us organize the sequence of events for the night until the last song of the night with a packed dance floor. We are extremely grateful we picked the Remixologists for our wedding and you will be too.

My new wife Ruth and I cannot say enough about how amazing it was to work with The Remixologists. From our first contact with them right up through the wedding, it was nothing but smooth sailing and highest quality service. To start, The Remixologists responded to my inquiry email super fast. That gave me the impression they were going to be very attentive and client-focused throughout our interactions with them. Their quote was perfectly within reason and they didn't try to gouge me with travel fees even though my wedding was 6+ hours away from NYC and would require a two night stay. Throughout the planning process, they were just the right amount of needy. Meaning, they pestered us about making song choices only once in a while (enough to remind you, but far from annoying). They even suggested meeting face to face before the wedding to chat in person and get to know each other better. AND they came to OUR apartment! Simon (the DJ we worked with) could not have been a nicer person. All smiles and laughs. Very easy to talk to and work with. Oh, and they're organized. They told us every special event throughout the wedding for which we would need a song (processional, recessional, entrances, cake cutting, first dance, etc). They also didn't miss a beat when I asked them at the last minute to bring up a bunch more gear so we could play music outside as well as inside. OK, so that's all background. That tells you they're good people. But are they good DJs? Unequivocally, yes. Simon's song selection was perfect. He listened to our request to play certain artists, but didn't need us to list out each and every song we liked. His variety was good, and at no point did the party lose momentum. Perhaps the biggest testament to his skills were the words from my friend at the wedding who DJs clubs in NYC (who better to judge the quality). He said Simon was a "technician," flawlessly transitioning from one song to the next. Perfect technique. He said Simon was a better DJ than he was and he was surprised to learn what Simon charged us. He said Simon could easily charge twice as much because of how good he is. Another testament to his skills, numerous guests came up to us after the wedding and asked if we could send them the playlist he put together for the wedding. People LOVED the songs he played and wanted to listen to them over again...what praise! In a word, The REmixologists were perfect. As you will soon (or may have already) found out, there are infinite number of things to worry about when planning and executing a wedding. Do yourself an ENORMOUS favor and book The Remixologists. They'll not only be one less thing to worry about, but one big thing to be thrilled about.

Mike was the perfect DJ for our big day. He had everyone on the dance floor the entire time with music that he obviously adapted for our party as it went. He even managed to mix in my husband's and my "do not play" list of songs that were requested by my mother in law in a way that worked so well and didn't kill the party. Mike was also able to customize our entrance music without any hesitation. We had Mike do the MCing for our wedding as well, which turned out great. All in all, we'd hire him in a heartbeat again.

DJ Mike was fantastic to work with! He was professional, very knowledgeable, and was able to calm all our anxieties about the big day. My husband had very specific music requests in mind for the processional and recessional, and Mike delivered exactly what we were looking for. On the day of the wedding both Mike and Simon were on hand for a seamless execution of MC-ing and DJ-ing. The dance music for the reception was so much fun and ALL of my guests raved about it afterward. The *only* thing to note is if you have songs you definitely want to have played, let him know exactly what they are so they definitely play them - there were a few songs on our "to-play" list that were left off. All in all, I would definitely recommend these guys for other weddings!

My experience with the Remixologists was fabulous! Simon was incredibly responsive to all of my emails, even when they were piecemeal and I made several changes. He also acted as the MC for the reception, and made sure he could pronounce everyone's name correctly. In terms of flexibility, The Remixologists were also great. I requested specific songs, as well as "do not play" songs, and he made sure to accommodate both. Great experience and highly recommended!

The Remixologists were the best. DJs. ever. My husband and I were focused on making sure our reception was a blast for our guests (and us!) and we couldn't have done it without Simon & Mike. They had the best song selection, graciously incorporating our list of "must haves" and avoiding our list of "please don't". Our friends and family specifically commented throughout the night how amazing they thought the DJs were. If you believe that music is an integral part to a great party, the Remixologists are definitely for you. And on top of that, they were so easy to work with and super responsive. I’ve known DJ Taiga (Simon) for many years and knew he was a successful club DJ that was venturing into weddings. I was skeptical at first because I knew DJing clubs and DJing weddings were two different animals. But boy was I wrong... my girlfriend at the time (now wife!) and I went to New York for a wedding and the Remixologists were there to guide us thru the night and it was absolutely fantastic (It had to be one of the best weddings I have gone to) We have gone to a lot of weddings and while the music was ok. The DJs we have been exposed to were usually really cheesy, playing music off their iPod or a combination of the two. The Remixologists on the other hand are very different, they gave the wedding a flow and it told a story... A beginning, middle and end with their music (with no pauses might I add!) While we tried to find something similar in the Dallas area, we couldn’t find anything like The Remixologists. So we asked Simon if he would DJ/emcee our special night since he was already coming to the wedding with his wife... which he said yes with no hesitation! Even tho we live about 1,500 miles away from each other. Simon made this so easy; he helped us with our wedding song lists and with finding a local Dallas sound/light vendor to supply the sound equipment for the night. He worked with our venue via email to figure out deliveries and equipment setup and he was quick to respond to any of our questions or concerns via phone or email. I met with Simon in person on the day before the wedding day and went over the pronunciation of the wedding party/parents and after that he had everything else handled and he told me to not worry about him or the music but on my wedding vows. When the day came, everything came off without a hitch. Simon emceed the night superbly and he is a true pro at his “Wedding DJ” craft. We still get compliments from our friends and family on how much fun our special day was. I would highly recommend The Remixologists for any wedding or group function!

we live in chicago so planning a new jersey wedding was not easy. djtaiga and i communicated primarily through email and it never took him more than 2-3 hours to respond to my questions. we worked out a program and playlist very efficiently. they really listened to our requests and we had an amazing party for all of our friends. even older adults commented on how fun our wedding was. If you are looking for a great party with lots of dancing, I highly recommend the remixologists.

The Remixologists were our wedding DJs -- and they were downright amazing! From the get-go, our communications with them were really wonderful. They helped us zero in on the type of wedding mix we were looking for, but at the same time gave us all the flexibility in the world to customize it however we'd like. And no musical genre or era is off limits for these guys -- they can help your guests get down with anything. Oh, and did I mention they helped pipe in sound through wireless speakers for our cocktail hour in a different room? But really, the BEST part about the Remixologists (and I really didn't appreciate this fact until I started paying attention to DJs at other weddings) is that they are extremely experienced *WEDDING* DJs. They know what brides and grooms are looking for, and this really showed during their preparation and execution. Leading up to the wedding, they'll go over your exact wedding day schedule with you, make sure you have all the songs you want, understand how to pronounce the wedding party's names, etc, etc. And despite their involvement in the process, they managed to stay practically invisible during the wedding -- which is a very good thing. No tacky "yo yo everyone, this is DJ So-and-So spinnin' tunes for you tonight" announcements to ruin the evening. I highly recommend these guys without hesitation.

The Remixologists, Simon and Mike, were amazing at our wedding! I knew Simon from college and decided to use them because I have been to many events that he's dj'ed and always loved his music choices and the way he mixed songs that always kept the energy high. Simon and Mike were one of our easiest vendors on the day of the event - they needed no attention from me or my wedding coordinator and everything went off without a hitch - the wireless mics worked perfectly (and I've been to so many other weddings with mic issues), our slideshow and video played on time and our guests had a great time on the dance floor. I've had so many guests tell me that that was one of their favorite weddings ever, and I really think I have the Remixologists to thank for a large part of that! Highly highly recommend!!

The Remixologists totally rocked our reception. Most receptions I've been to feel like the DJ has put a list of songs together and hit play, but DJs Taiga and 9 Volt went far above that. Their skills at mixing songs, judging the feel of the crowd and playing to all audiences, young and old, kept our guests dancing all night long. There are some things I would have changed about our wedding, but hiring the Remixologists is definitely not one of them.

The Remixologists were the best choice my husband and I could have made for handling music and MC-ing at our wedding reception. Simon and Mike were already booked for our wedding day, so we worked with Tristan, who was awesome!!! Once we decided to book the Remixologists, they always took initiative to e-mail us and gather details. Because of their organization, my husband and I didn't have to keep track of this part of the wedding planning ourselves because we could rely on them to stay on top of it and contact us when they needed something. Working with them was such a breeze. We trusted them and they made the process so easy, and they executed everything perfectly on the day of our wedding. We were so thankful for this, especially in the midst of all the other details that we had to plan; having extra peace of mind made our entire wedding planning process that much easier. We knew that a DJ could really set the mood, energy-level, and fluidity of the reception. My husband and I had been to weddings where the DJ was extremely awkward, did not know how to excite a crowd, and played really bad music. But The Remixologists were the exact opposite. Tristan did such a wonderful job with choosing music throughout the dinner portion of the reception; he timed everything perfectly for the introductions, first dance, cake cutting, etc, according to the schedule we gave him. We even had some weird names in our family and wedding party, but he pronounced them perfectly during introductions. There were no awkward moments, just fun and excitement all around. Even when things deviated from our original schedule, he adjusted flawlessly. Simon prepared our dance mix for the later half of the night, and it was AMAZING! We had such a blast celebrating with everyone and bouncing around the dance floor. The music he chose was awesome and kept the fun going on for hours! Simon also gave us the music mix on a CD and we plan to re-use it at future dance parties =) If anyone has the chance to work with the Remoxologists, I would definitely recommend it!

We've known DJ Taiga and The Remixologists crew since our college days. When it came to picking a DJ for our wedding, we couldn't think of anyone else better. Our wedding was in the San Francisco Bay Area, so we had to rent the sound equipment for the reception. DJ Taiga is incredibly knowledgeable and made sure we got the right equipment at a good price. We share with him the type of music that we liked and the feeling we wanted to create with the music during the reception. He also worked with us to pick out songs for the wedding party entrance, cake cutting, etc. that were appropriate. On the day of the wedding, DJ Taiga was absolutely amazing! He was both our MC and our DJ for the reception, and we did not have to worry about anything. The dance floor was packed the entire night and no one wanted to leave! After the wedding, we had so many friends and family tell us how great the music was, and how much fun they had dancing and celebrating that night - the music really made our wedding special! DJ Taiga is a true professional and his passion for music is clear - he is simply the best!

Having a good DJ is important to any wedding, but when you’ve got an Indian bride and a Catholic groom who are both really picky about their music--and you need to make sure there’s something for both families’ tastes, plus all enough jams to please all of their friends--it’s absolutely crucial. We found The Remixologists by fluke, online. Whe we told them what we needed, they didn’t hesiate. Over the course of eight hours, we had a traditional Indian ceremony, a cocktail hour, a Catholic ceremony, and a reception. The ceremonies took place outside in front of a lake, while the reception and cocktails were inside, each at different location. We planned a complex day and we needed someone who could provide a soundtrack that didn’t miss a beat. With the Remixologists we got just that. Throughout our entire planning process, DJ Taiga and his team were a joy to work with. They’re very organized, fairly priced, and eager without being annoying. Taiga never seemed to mind working with a couple of music fans who had very particular opinions about what should be played on the big day. No heavy rotation of Black Eyed Peas and Beyonce for us. We wanted a bit of hiphop, a bit of indie rock, a bit of 1980s and a bit of a lot other stuff, including a healthy dollop of Indian music. On the occasions, we needed suggestions, he gave us great ones--even the Indian ones, having some music in his large music inventory. Most importantly, Taiga took care to learn the flow of the day. For our wedding, the music wasn’t just background. It moved the day forward, transitioned us from event to event and set the tone. The Remixologists’ execution was flawless, from taking care of the complicated tech set up to knowing when to play what. Taiga did a great job putting our mishmash of genres and style into a great sequence that got everyone dancing. The last thing anyone wants for their wedding is an empty dance floor, and ours was packed, thanks to the DJ. We should also say that Taiga’s a really nice guy and a straight shooter who’s a pleasure to work with. We recommend The Remixologists wholeheartedly.

Loved loved The Remixologists. The dancing music at my wedding renewal was fun and appropriate for all age levels. The DJ did a great job keeping the flow of the entire event and when music was needed for certain event details (not including dancing) they were on point and followed the schedule well. I would recommend this group to anyone who is looking for a professional DJ that can deliver a variety of music genres for a variety of age groups. They're also great people to work with!

Simon and Mike were by far the best DJ/Emcee team that I've seen at weddings, and I've been to a lot of them. From the very beginning, they were professional, responsive, and easy and fun to work with. I had some additional requests, such as needing them to also take care of the sound for the wedding ceremony, which they did flawlessly. I am very picky with music, and provided a very long list of song requests. Simon spent time beforehand to mix the music together, so it felt like dancing in a club instead of going through a playlist. Mike emceed the reception and was very non-intrusive while still making sure everything stayed on schedule with all the speeches, cake cutting, etc... Everything ran incredibly smoothly and I didn't have to worry about a thing! They also brought lights for the dance floor! I've already recommended Simon and Mike to 2 friends who booked them for their weddings, and will continue to spread the word about their great service.

Mike and Simon were fabulous at our wedding reception. Not only were they great DJs, Mike even helped us MC our reception. They really listened to what we wanted and made sure everyone was having fun. Highly recommend!

These DJs genuinely strive to give wedding guests an awesome fun time and memorable party experience. They're not out to just make a buck and apathetically spin music that nobody will move to. They are extremely reasonably priced AND they know how to pick hot current hits and fun throwbacks to really get people dancing. They were extremely gracious to DJ my wedding and I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again for any and all party purposes.
