Rev. Mary-Rose Engle was highly recommended to us by our wedding planner and having her as our officiant was the best decision we made. We met Rev. Mary-Rose about 5 1/2 months before our wedding and from our very first meeting, she was lovely. Very warm and genuinely interested in hearing all about us and our story. She made us feel at ease and helped guide us through this process, always making sure that we were completely comfortable with the ceremony. My fiancé ( now husband ) and I wanted a spur of the moment wedding ceremony in NYC during my birthday stay from Hawaii. Rev. Mary was flexible. She met us at Rockefeller center to wed us. On time. What can we say about Rev. Mary-Rose? She delivered an incredible ceremony that set the tone for our entire wedding day. Mary-Rose was a true professional – when we first reached out to her, she was very prompt to respond to us and we set up a teleconference to speak together to see whether we were a good fit (one of us was in Washington, D.C. for work, one was in Brooklyn, and Mary-Rose was in NY). We were on the phone for over two hours and Rev. Mary-Rose asked the most pertinent questions – Tamara even cried. We were already so impressed with her at that stage. We knew that she was the officiant we had been looking for. Rev. Mary-Rose spent a lot of time crafting a custom ceremony just for us – allowing us ample time and opportunity to make any changes we felt were needed. She also created a new wedding ritual based on an idea to seal our wedding vows into a special keepsake box with a bottle of wine, so we could open it on our anniversary to drink the wine and renew our vows to one another. We will keep this tradition in our marriage, and the passage Rev. Mary-Rose wrote for us for this ritual was just perfect. Rev. Mary-Rose exceeded our expectations. She was very professional and also warm and welcoming to all of our guests at the ceremony. So many of our guests shared with us how much they enjoyed our wedding – and how personal it was. Rev. Based upon the recommendation of a dear friend, my then fiancé and I agreed to speak with Reverend Mary Rose Engle to determine if she was someone we would be comfortable in having marry us. I am forever grateful to our officiant, Rev. We were so delighted with Mary-Rose's personal and sensitive wedding service to us, from helping us to define our ceremony to the clear and immediate communication all the way through the planning process. My husband and I just returned from a romantic weekend in New York City, where we were married in Central Park. We wanted so much to express our appreciation for the most special and spiritual wedding that we had in Egypt on 1st Feb 2010. The whole event came up almost overnight - it all started while we were on the River Nile cruise when Len (Haya) proposed, which really caught me by surprise and subsequently, we were overwhelmed by the idea to commemorate our wedding ceremony on the same day as Baba's birthday! I was very anxious and did not know what to expect but all that anxiety vanished the minute I listened to the ready suggestions she gave and at the same time open to the ideas we have in mind. Both of us are very impressed with the whole preparation because we depended fully on her arrangement. Everything went smoothly and it was beautiful. The whole event was exactly what we wanted - we wanted it to be simple, sentimental and memorable. The best part is, there were 80 of us present in this ceremony and everyone was very receptive to it. We can't thank Rev. Mary-Rose enough for her attention and expertise on our special day.
