Upon entering RK bridal I was overwhelmed with the amount do dresses I saw hanging up. The greeter tells you that you have to sign in and wait. When you sign in the notice tells you that one should go off and find 1-5 dresses ON THEIR OWN!!!! In my mind all I can think of is how stressed I'm going to be during this process. I found 1 dress on my own before I was flustered. A woman who knew her dresses helped point out some features on the dresses but shortly left me and my maid of honor to continue our search. I then decided I would search on my phone thru their inventory again to get certain dress style #s. While doing so a consultant was telling the party next to us that cell phone usage isn't permitted. She was a bit abrasive to the party sayin she would throw them out if they were caught taking pictures of the gowns ( a big shocker to me because one would want to see the comparisons of all the dresses they've tried on). Anywho after sitting there for another 20 minutes a lovely lady named Janice came to find me and we started out session. She was very helpful with pulling out more dresses to my liking with NO problem at all. She found nice little accessories to spruce up the dresses for me. When I couldn't find the right dress and was ready to go, Janice pulled an AMAZING gown that fit my budget AND the exact style that I was looking for. Thanks to her I FOUND MY DRESS. As far as everything else in the store their system should change. They should have someone designated to help find dresses and then consultants to assist with the actual trying on of the dresses

I went to RK Bridal on my own after visiting a boutique shop. I came in about 15 mins right after they opened in the morning on a Monday and just missed the first slot. So I wrote my name on the list and waited about 45 mins. This place is for those who want to avoid any pretentiousness and are looking for a wide selection to find that dress that will fit within their criteria and budget. It's definitely a no frills type shop in that the dresses are not displayed in the way a boutique shop is with everything out of bags and neatly hung on satin hangers, equally spaced. You will NOT be offered tea, coffee or water, or a fancy couch to sit and wait. However, my consultant Olga was wonderful. She was very so warm like an aunt or grandmother you went for advice and just as honest with me. I came with some examples of what I was looking for including the shoes I wanted to wear on my wedding day, pulled 5 dresses as they told me to do before meeting with the consultant and the first trip back from the racks, she found the dress I ultimately bought. My next time back with my parents I called ahead and was able to secure a time with the same consultant since I was coming back. We were about 5 mins late and she almost started to see another person - so don't be late!! Olga was so patient and helpful. She offered her input but only after she let my parents chime in. She even spoke to me away from my parents to see what I thought after hearing them. I really appreciated how she was very discreet in offering advice but being careful about her role. Not pushy at all. Though it only took me to trips, I look forward to going to my first fitting and showing her how I look when it's all ready!

I'll start off with the organization of RK Bridal, it may be a little overwhelming when you look to pick out your dress because you have to search through the collection, and there's racks of dresses. Plus - it gets a bit crowded in there. Make sure you BRING YOUR PRINT OUTS! Maybe 2 copies of each. But, once I put my name on the list and was being helped, things went much smoother. My Bridal consultant was Lisa, and although I decided not to purchase my dress from RK, she was SUPER helpful. She responded to my reactions for each dress I put on, and helped with suggestions once she noticed the style I liked. She also wanted to help make sure it was appropriate for my venue and style of wedding. I was very thankful to have her as my consultant, she did a great job and helped choose the dress I ALMOST went with buying. Elaine, the manager was very helpful as well. Great staff. FYI - a bit pricey, I'd suggest looking at the Casablanca or Allure collections for more reasonable prices. Good luck! :-)

Today, I went in to go wedding dress shopping with my sister (maid of honor) and mother. Nicole was my bridal consultant and she was absolutely amazing! I showed her the dresses I printed out and wanted to try on. Not only did she bring out the dresses I wanted, but she also brought in dresses that she believed would look nice on me. I ended up buying a wedding dress that she picked out. It was absolutely stunning! Also, I loved how other bridal consultants were suggesting and helping Nicole out with selecting dresses despite how busy the store was. Once I said Yes to my Dress, all of them were clapping their hands which I thought was so lovely. Unlike other bridal boutiques that I have been to, I did not feel pressured or pushed to buy a dress on the spot. Luckily, I found the wedding dress of my dreams! Thank you so much to Nicole and the staff at RK Bridal for their patience and understanding. I am so haaaaappy I went to rk bridal!!!!

I went to 8 stores before finding my dress at RK bridal. It's a little overwhelming when you enter their warehouse-like store, but they have dress covering every style and price point, so it's worth having to sift through the samples yourself and wait in line to get the perfect dress!

I LOVED my Dress. I HATED the service I recieved from RK Bridal. Once you say yes to the dress all service goes down hill. You put down half the cost as a non refundable deposit, so at that point they have your $ so it doest matter how they treat you. The staff is impatient, unfriendly, lacks knowledge, poor customer service and defensive at the first sign of conflict. Each time i entered the store i overheard a handful of disputes taking place at the counter. Once my alterations were done, i took my dress and flew, never to look back and happy to be done working with them. Best part: free garment bag and garter with my dress. (I used the garter as my throw away).

Love RK Bridal because of their amazing selection. This is where I purchased my wedding dress and picked out bridesmaid dresses here. These styles are absolutely stunning and I can't recommend this place enough.

I bought two wedding dresses from them, 6 bridesmaid dresses and the mother of the bride dress. They have such a huge and CURRENT collection of dresses and the staff there is very knowledgeable and extremely helpful. If you're looking for the boutique experience, (which i thought i was), get that out of the way first, and then go to RK Bridal to find the dress you actually want, (instead of settle for) !

I selected RK Bridal since they carried the Disney line which was hard to find in any boutique store in NJ. At first I had some glitches with my dress. The first fitting didn't go well as the dress didn't look as it did as when I picked it out on the rack. I was very nervous and horrified. I emailed the store, called, and was freaking out. At first some managers weren't that responsive. However, I was lucky enough to speak with Madison- who was amazing. She made sure I was put in good hands with alterations. Fre and Nina in alterations took care of me and did an AMAZING job. My dress was too low cut but they added on to it giving me the coverage I desired. After my third alteration I wasn't feeling 100% so they had me come in for a 4th visit. I never felt more beautiful in any piece of clothing as I did in that dress from RK Bridal. I felt like a true princess. While it was annoying going in an out of NY each time it was def worth it!! I found the perfect dress, it was in budget, and the alterations went above and beyond to make sure I had the perfect gown that day!! Can't thank them enough!!!

Go to RK bridal if you want high quality product for good value and don't care if you get mediocre service. Quality of the service varies greatly. I was fortunate to have Penny when I first tried on dresses. I was overwhelmed by choosing dresses from the masses, and didn't know what the styles were from the hanging racks, nor did I know what would suit me. Technically, we are supposed to find our own dresses. I told Penny what I liked online, and she found me all of the dresses I tried on, and ultimately my wedding dress. Had I not been lucky enough to have Penny, I may not have stayed with RK bridal. For scheduling my fitting and alterations, I was not as lucky, and had difficulty scheduling (this was a year in advance, and not a time issue). When I arrived for alterations, it is rushed, but the woman did an amazing job. The dress fit perfectly and looked perfect. However, when she measured for alterations, she didn't bother to ask how I wanted the style to look, she just came over and started adding pins without saying hi. I had to be proactive to explain what I wanted. However, the end result was stunning!

great no complaints. Recommendations go late and you will be seen.. eliminate the crowd by the late sign in.

I love RK Bridal! On a whim, during a girls weekend trip to NYC, I ventured to RK Bridal. I went because of the reviews and the large selection of plus size sample gowns. They do have a large selection of plus size sample gowns just not as large as the smaller sizes. My consultant Lisa was awesome! She made me feel like a supermodel while I tried on several beautiful dresses and did not pressure me while I tried to decide if I was going to say yes to the dress. My dress came in 2 months early, and at the dress try on, my attendant was very gracious and took multiple photos for me and let me ogle myself as long as I liked. I chose to have the dress shipped to me and in the box was a surprise gift, a free garter and canvas tote bag! You should definitively go to RK bridal if your a plus size bride who wants to TRY ON a bunch of dresses and want a gorgeous dress at a reasonable price! My only complaint is even thought I was trying on plus size dresses there was still an up charge for the larger size which I did not find out about until after I was at the cash register.

Love, Love, Love this place! I walked in with one picture for a bridal dress I wanted to try. Yes, just one. Unfortunately, THE one I was looking for was not available until next season! But as luck would have it, the most amazing stylist Jo, was able to find me my dream dress (which actually looked very much like the picture I had). It was the first and only dress I tried there and I was in love! Jo even suggested a birdcage instead of a veil which I absolutely adored and donned for most of my wedding! I'm going to sound like an advertiser but the selection and prices cannot be beat! A definite must-stop for brides and bridesmaids!

I had a very positive experience at RK Bridal. I visited the shop early morning on a weekday. Olga the sales associate was wonderful. I ended up purchasing a dress she suggested which was also the first dress I tried on. Great service and staff!

The Braids maid dress were exactly what we saw! We did no fills and the came on time with extra time to size,,,, which most of my braidsmaids did not need because the size chart was perfect match and we help help from the workers :)

I loved my dress from RK Bridal. Their selection is unmatched. I was very nervous that I wasn't going to find a dress that I loved that was not through the roof expensive, but I was blown away by my options at RK. I wouldn't say it's the most beautiful store and they certainly don't serve you champagne, but get over it and do yourself a favor and stop in. Try during the week though, to save yourself from the crowds. I'm not sure if I would reccomned them for alterations. It seems like a good deal, but they really nickel and dime you for everything you have to change that is not "standard." I would ask a lot of questions before you commit about the dress what needs to be taken in, hiked up, brought down, etc.

After shopping around with a $1500 max budget for a wedding dress, I finally heard about RK Bridal. It's on 39th btwn 8th and 9th Ave in Manhattan. You wouldn't know it, but once inside, it's a like a huge warehouse full of dresses from a wide array of designers and price ranges. I returned to RK Bridal three times and probably tried on about 20 dresses. I dealt with Penny who was so helpful and knowledgeable. Finally I slipped on a Saison Blanche dress and felt beautiful. But when Penny suggested removing the sash, that's when I realized it was THE DRESS. I brought back my mother, mother in law, sister and best friend, who all approved and I made the purchase. I was SO HAPPY it was in my price range too! The alterations people were great to work with as well. I did need three fittings because they needed to take up the lining inside several times so that I wasn't tripping on it. I asked them to take off the beading on the sash I wasn't wearing, and create an embellishment on the back of the dress with it. They did it perfectly! One more thing - this place is not a fancy bridal salon where they bring you champagne, etc. It's a large retail shop with dresses everywhere. They have bridesmaid dresses and mother of the bride dresses as well. So it's not about the experience, it's about the best value and excellent service.

I can't say enough good things about R.K. Bridal. I went looking for a Justin Alexander dress, and they had 3 seasons of his dresses available. They paid an incredible attention to detail, which was furthered by their incredible seamstresses. The day of my wedding, the dress fit like a glove with every last thread in place. Highly recommended!!

I had a great experience at RK Bridal. It was the first and only bridal store that I went to. There was a fantastic selection at the store. I tried on a few gowns and wound up choosing the very first one I tried on. I absolutely loved my dress! And Nicole, my bridal consultant, was such a pleasure to work with! She was patient and dedicated to helping me find "my gown." I needed very few alterations although it was a bit stressful as my seamstress needed to make several adjustments. However, she did a great job in the end. The store also delivered my dress on time, as promised. On the day of my wedding, everyone raved about how beautiful my dress looked!! I would definitely recommend RK Bridal!

This may be a long read, but I am just overflowed with joy from RK Bridal! I am a bride from PA and the bridal store where my 6 bridemaid's bought (and paid for) their bridesmaid gowns is going out of business. They were ordered and set to arrive 3wks ago but no one will answer or return my calls from the store. This nightmirror has begun to tarnish my wedding experience, as I would never want to be "bride zilla" but terrified with only 3 months left that I would owe my bridesmaids hundreds of dollars and be searching endlessly for a replacement dress. With this tragedy, its easy to lose sight of the happiness every bride should have. So, I searched online for a plan B and found the same bridesmaid gowns at RK Bridal. I called only to get more information about how fast they would be able to ship the dresses and they went ABOVE AND BEYOND-A woman who helped me, was incredibly kind and offered to call the designer... and THEY FOUND MY DRESSES!!!! They are going to be shipped directly to me in one week! If you are a bride planning a wedding, I would recommend nothing less than RK Bridal. With weeks of stress, they were able to restore my wedding bliss in less than 5 minutes, nothing short of happy tears! Unbelievable, words cannot give them the recommendations they deserve!!!

I had a wonderful experience at RK Bridal. I loved the freedom and I loved my dress. My only issue was with the price. I wish i had done some research on my dress intead of just impluse buying it. Because it was 1-200 cheaper everywhere else.

I walked into RK Bridal and almost walked out right away. I was so overwhelmed by the selection of dresses I just wanted to give up. I was with my mom and grandmother, though, and they would NOT let that happen. I met with my consultant, Olga, and explained what I was looking for. It seemed to me that the simple, small, beach-type dress was NOT anywhere in the store, but sure enough Olga found some fantastic options for me to try on. The first dress was great, the second dress was wonderful, and I ended up purchasing the third dress I tried on. It was THAT PERFECT. Olga knew her stuff and I couldnt be happier. From wanted to leave right away to actually leaving with my pefect dress in hand. It's one of my favorite stories about my wedding. I would highly recommend RK Bridal, especially Olga. She was great!

Seamstress could make a straight hem to save her life even after three fittings and manager just said well nothing I can do. Extremely frustrating experience. Definitely would not recommend it.

I am a Maryland Bride and I traveled to RK Bridal New York to find my dress along with the bridesmaid dresses. You were the only salon on the east coast that had my dress in a size 16 and it was available for me to try on. I was extremely impressed with your huge dress selections! As a result, all of our dresses were purchased from your salon. RK Bridal has outstanding services (bridal assistant, managers, alterations, etc...) and I highly recommend them to other brides. Great experience. I went to a few places to try on dresses and this was the fastest paced but the most efficient and helpful. I would recommend trying on a few dresses before you go to get an idea of the shape and style you want (I thought I wanted straight no poof, but after trying on straight dresses I realized I wanted some poof). You do pick out your dresses yourself, but as you try them on and tell the sales woman what you like, they will go and pick out some more choices for you. I got the perfect dress for me at an amazing price and it was a really fun experience!

They are great - the store is always hectic, you need a few trips to find a dress for your bridesmaids but their prices can't be beat. I suggest to measure your girls or have them measure themselves and you place the order, it usually saves them about $60; if you ship all the dresses to one location, then the shipping is free; otherwise everyone has to spend $20 for shipping. Also, I suggest to find your own seamstress or tailor; their prices for alterations tend to be high.

This was the perfect shop for me! Bare-bones, without a lot of the frills that one would find in many bridal salons.The staff was friendly and helpful but no-nonsense, listening to my vision & flying through the racks like a bat out of hell pulling dress after dress. The woman who helped me did try to put me in a slightly more "traditional" dress, but it seemed more about giving me all my options. And she didn't blink when I began leaning toward the significantly cheaper floor model. I was so happy with the experience, it was totally worth the 4-hour bus ride.

I bought my dress here and had alterations done. I think back now and wish I went to a regular bridal salon, alteration are included on most dresses which I didn't know. You think your saving money on the dress but your really not! Alteration came to 300+.. plus parking or taking the train in adds up the parking lot next to the place was 35 each time I went! Alteration your rushed they want you in and out, it took them the last fitting to realize the hook on the back of my dress was still missing from the first fitting and I couldnt figure out why the dress kept sliding down. They look annoyed when you ask them something. I wish I went somewhere else.

The staff at RK Bridal was amazing. I was able to get a $1500 wedding dress for $1100. They made sure my alterations were on point and no problems were had.

Just picked up my dress today for my wedding on 9/15/12 - had a great experience with RK Bridal, from beginning to end! From Nadine, my consultant who knew which dress I would pick before I did, to Marvia in alterations who was so helpful in every way, finding me just the perfect belt in my price range, to Susan my seamstress, this place is just the best - every fitting date was perfect & on time. A couple of tips - Saturdays there can be very crowded & hectic, if you're going there for the first time to try on gowns, try to go during the week. Also, alterations can be pricey, but their work is top-notch.

I had found my wedding gown at a different bridal salon but bought it at RK since it was cheaper so I didn't have much experience in my "search" at RK. However, we did find the bridesmaids dresses at RK. It gets ridiculously crowded there so might be worth it to take a day off from work to spend more time with less chaos. All the dresses came in earlier than they told me so timing is good. The one thing that I wasn't too satistifed with is the alterations. The seamstress that worked on my dress seemed to want to take short cuts. I recommend taking pictures at all your alterations. She had pinned the bustle at my first fitting and then when I came back at my second fitting, it looks different. She said it was the same and luckily, I took a picture of it the previous time to show her. I had other issues with the seamstress so ended up having to do 4 fittings instead of 3. But overall I would still go back to RK due to the value.

I bought such a gorgeous wedding dress at RK Bridal. Its so stressful searching for the perfect dress until i walked in Rk Bridal. I'm in love with my dress!

I went to RK on a weekend and I had to wait about 90 minutes for my turn to try on gowns. Sounds like a long time, but honestly it took me over an hour to pour though all of the racks and decide what I wanted to try. There are empty racks set up in the corner that you can put your stash in so you aren't trying to juggle 5 wedding gowns. Those suckers are HEAVY! My personal attendant was OLGA. If you're interested in going I'd suggest you remember her name (once again-- OLGA!) and try to see her if possible. Despite the long wait, I had her full and complete attention once I was up. She asked me questions about what I wanted, and also saw what styles I was into from my selection. I felt very comfortable with her, she wasn't pushy, she didn't rush me, and she obviously knew what she was doing. She gave me honest opinions about different styles on my shape and I appreciate that. Olga spotted another girl trying on a dress she thought I would like and asked me if I would try it when she was done. I ended up trying on/loving/buying the gown she recommended! Everyone in the store told me how perfect it was (clientele included)- and she even found me the perfect belt to match. The clincher for me is that another gown I was leaning towards was double the price of the one she suggested-- clearly she was not just out for her commission, which I can't appreciate enough. This is not a boutique. I went to some of those, and it was much more.. relaxing?- but no other place gave me the attention that Olga gave me. I gave it the 5 stars it deserves because even though it is a bit chaotic, you have to qualify it for what it is. RK also guarantees the lowest price. This doesn't mean the dresses are low quality, they have the same designers as the other stores but just offer the best price!

The dress selection is amazing.. yes it can get busy especially on the weekends and yes even with appointments you still have to wait, but it's in NYC what do you expect. I looked at the website before going and saved pics to my iphone to show them when i went to look for dresses, i worked with Jo and was shocked when I showed her the pics she knew all the dresses and was able to pull the ones they had for me. This woman was amazing, I didnt like the dresses i thought i would.. looked much different on other people.. but based on my personality and body type she was able to recommend a beautiful lace dress that had just come in... it was the one right away, people i didnt know clapped and my bridesmaids all said yes! The seemstress I worked with was fantastic and even was able to make a sash out of a peice of my grandmother's wedding dress for me (at a charge of course). My dress was ready far before I needed it and the service was so good there I decided to drop off my dress last week for preservation.

I loved, loved, loved my dress! and so did my husband! RK Bridal was the only place that had the dress I was looking for. Every other place was either too over the top for me or too plain. and those other high-end boutiques (i.e. Kleinfeld's) charged ridiculous prices for the same dresses I saw elsewhere in other boutiques. The best thing about my dress is that it was what I was looking for and the price was well below my budget. The person that helped me knew what I was looking for before I even fully described it. I also got my bridesmaids dresses from here. Great dresses and great value!

I felt like Cindarella every time I went to RK Bridal. Not only did they help me pick the wedding dress of the year which I'm absolutely in love with, but they were very helpful and courteous. Yes, it cost a lot of money to do alterations, and for anythig extra. But I think most bridal shops are the same. Be ready to have your wallet open. And be smart!!! But I was very happy overall with my experience. Everyone loved my dress by Enzoani. :)

Great value! Lots of dresses. Can be hard to search through all the gowns but I found a beautiful, unique gown that was within my budget.

I bought my girls' bridesmaid dresses from here using their "no frills" program, where we provided each girls' measurements and select the dress for it to be shipped to me. It was the least expensive way to get the dress I wanted for my girls without asking them to pay too much. The dresses were delivered way ahead of schedule, and I really can't complain. Some of them didn't fit my girls very well and lots of alterations were required, but that may be an issue with the designer's measurement table, not an issue with RK Bridal.

RK bridal is cool.. I worked with Cheryl who helped pick my mom's wedding dress 2years ago.. I would totally recommend them and request Cheryl if possible.

I ordered my Enzoani Blue Casablanca dress from RK after having another bridal salon in Forest Hills, play games with me with not disclosing the price of the dress and not giving me a price on alterations. I recommend brides to start their dress shopping at a smaller bridal salon, so you are not overwhelmed by the thousands of selection RK has. But purchase your dress at RK, their prices are unbeatable! Staff is very helpful and their alterations dept. is great!

I couldn't speak more highly of RK Bridal. I found the dress I wanted in a shop and looked online for a better price. RK had my dress for almost half the price! (and it was definitely not a knock-off from China). My size wasn't in stock (I planned a quick wedding) so they called me the very next day to discuss my options and had the nearest size dress sent to me within the week. Very happy with the outcome!

RK Bridal is a "no frills" bridal salon. The benefit, in my opinion, was the never ending selection of reasonably priced dresses. I also loved that the customers were able to sift through the dresses by themselves rather than relying on a consultant to recommend dresses. My consultant, Olga, was so sweet. I may not have gotten the star treatment, but I walked out with a dress within my budget that fit my vision. I couldn't have asked for more than that.

I was very unhappy with the service I received at RK. I purchased my dress with the understanding the neckline could be altered into a sweetheart. The sales women Jo, assured me of this as there was another dress I liked with a sweetheart neck. She proceed to explain that was included in the basic altering. A year later when i went for my first fitting, they seamstress said that my dress was extremely difficult to change, and it would be an additional $400. She also said that Jo always causes this problem. I then also had to adjust some of my fitting appointments due to business trips, and the team was extremely rude about this. They told me I made the appointments and shouldn't have to change them. I would not send anyone here.

They have a HUGE selection, and great sales on dresses in stock. If you don't want to sepnd a fortune, but still look beautiful, the gowns on sale might be a good deal for you. I wasn't sure what exactly I wanted (except for one dress I already liked), but they had so many other options, it wasn't an issue. The woman who helped me (Jo) was wonderful! She was friendly, attentive, honest and made me feel relaxed and excited instead of my usual dressing-room self (frustrated and antsy). She also made my frieds I brought feel welcome and not like they were in the way. I did not care for the staff behind the counter at all. They were often either brusque or completely oblivious, so that there was a feeling that each customer was just a number. Let's face it...I'm sure I was, but if I'm about to drop that much cash in a place, some eye contact and a smile would make it a little more pleasant. My gown was reasonably priced, but the alterations were kind of expensive, and I forgot about the tax, so I ended up spending more than I budgeted for. It still wasn't outrageous, though, and I felt beautiful in my dress, so mission accomplished!

RK Bridal is a really great store if you know what type of dress you want. They have amazing prices. I found my dress at another store and then I came to RK Bridal, I saved over $500 by buying my dress here. The store is very over whelming, there are so many dresses that you can pick from. Some people call it the TJ Maxx for bridal gowns which I agree. RK was the first store I went to and to be honest I lost in what I wanted since you are only allowed to try on 5-7 gowns, but after visiting a few other stores I knew exactly what I wanted. I would recommend going to a few stores before going to RK. I 100% recommend buying your dress at RK Bridal but please DO NOT use their alteration department. I lost about 4 dress sizes between the time the dress arrived in the store and the final fitting. The seamstress took my waist only in the first fitting and after that refused to take in anymore. For some reason all she kept taking in was the part above my bust and cutting the hem. The dress is not fit me at all. It was so loose on my waist and so tight on bust. Three weeks before the wedding I had to take my dress to another seamstress and paid another $350. I also do not know how they schedule the fitting, they only have Monday to Thursday appointments and you have to make them right when you get the dress or you are out of luck. Plus no matter what time your appointment is you have to wait an addition hour or two.

I recently purchased my wedding gown from RK Bridal and while I loved my dress tremendously, I wasn't entirely happy with my experience at the store. There isn't a very personalized feeling about the store. You try on dresses in front of everyone else and your alterations try-ons are done in a very small room in front of everyone else as well. I would have preferred more one-on-one attention and a more elegant setting. The woman who sold me my dress, Olga, was fantastic though and some of the women in the alterations dept were great.

I had a good experience with RK. I knew what to expect going in, and came with a list of several styles I wanted to try. I found a dress I loved, but I wanted to sleep on it. I made a follow up appointment (and they did allow appointments for second-comers), and the consultant suggested a few more dresses that went along with what I wanted, and I decided on the dress from my first appointment. Jo helped me the first time, and she was great. She wasn't available the second time (and RK told me this in advance), but the second consultant was fabulous as well. I don't remember her name, but she was a young african-american woman with a fitting room all the way to the right. I didn't get alterations there, so I can't comment on them. All I can say is that despite the fact that I had a very simple satin dress (no lace, beading, pick ups, etc.) that required very simple alterations, they were going to charge me the full $350. It was a $400 dress (not using no frills), so that was a bit crazy. Another thing that's confusing is the no-frills policy. For me, had I used it, I would have saved almost 25% of the cost of my dress. But it wasn't worth having a dress that didn't fit. I just don't know why the 45 seconds it took to take my measurements had to cost $90. We also found my bridesmaid's dress there. The sample dress fit her PERFECTLY, so she ordered that same size thru the no frill program. When the dress arrived, it was WAY too big and required significant alteration, so she spend more in alterations than she saved by going the no frill route. Apparently the designer had changed their sizes, but the RK staff didn't tell us that. Again, I don't know why it should cost so much more if you order the dress after they take a few seconds to measure you.

STAY AWAY FROM THEIR ALTERATIONS. That being said, let me say that they have a huge selection of beautiful, designer dresses at fantastic prices. It's not the most touchy-feely experience, as they tend to be very busy, but the staff is helpful. The woman that helped me choose my dress was intuitive, friendly, and helped me "say yes." I paid a great price for my dream dress. The alterations, however, left me very unhappy. I was required to make 3 appointments based on the date of my wedding and was not able to change them when the dates got closer. That was difficult, first of all, because I bought my dress a year and a half before my wedding, and, second of all, because I moved out of NYC 6 months before the wedding. Just a testament to how insanely busy they get. Also, the appointments felt rushed. And no matter how many times I asked if the dress could be held up higher by taking it in more, I was told that it was just a "low cut, heavy bodice." It turns out I ended up taking it to a seamstress by my home 5 days before the wedding for emergency alteration fixes. The cups they put in were so terrible I couldn't find them, did nothing to hold the dress up, and it just hadn't been taken in enough. And the alterations START at $400, mine were more. When I tried to deal with RK, to get some money back for the cups that I didn't think had been put in, they said I was out of town and there was nothing I could do. Plus, I had SIGNED OFF. Should have been a sign right there...if you have to sign off on your alterations, they obviously have a lot of issues in that department. In their defense, my local seamstress did find the "cups, " but the people on the phone were so rude and unhelpful I would never recommend a friend to get her alterations here.

RK Bridal had a huge array of dresses at a great value. My dress was much cheaper there than elsewhere. The shopping experience isn't as nice as you might find at a boutique--no AC, no champagne, etc., but if you want the best dress for reasonable money, it's worth it. Lots of options for $1,000 or less.

Hit or miss. I went with my bridesmaids for bridesmaids' dresses and we received HORRIBLE customer service. They were about to be closing on a Saturday and so were literally throwing people out of the store. First, how can a bridal business knowing people work during the week expect customers not to come in on Saturday? Second, there is a proper way to politely ask people to leave and an improper way. I would expect more class from a business that deals with women who are about to be married. In the end, no bridesmaid dresses from here. However, when I went back looking for a reception dress I was very pleased with the customer service. The girl I worked with found me the perfect dress and let me think about it for a while. She gave me her honest opinion and I was very happy. In conclusion, I would recommend this place but would recommend that if you do in fact receive bad service to come back on another day. This vendor is not bad because they do have a lot of dresses at fair prices. However, there are better places out there.

I loved my dress, the staff were very knowedgeable, the only thing I didn't care for was the crowds and the lack of fleibility in scheduling appointments for fittings/alterations

I fell in love with my wedding dress at a store in Northern Virginia. However, they only had the dress in a sample size in ivory, but I wanted it in white. The cost to order the dress through the store was well over my price range, so I had to think about it overnight. During that time I found RK Bridal online, and requested a price quote for that same dress I loved. To my delight, the price quote from RK Bridal was $700 LESS than it would have been from the store in Virginia. I ordered my dress very soon after and it arrived 2 months later in perfect condition and a perfect fit!! Do not worry about ordering online if you've tried it on.. it was excellent!! I can't wait to wear it. The only issue I had was with the store returning my calls about a few questions I had.

Got all our dresses here. One of the reps wasn't so friendly and the place was far too crowded for my liking but when I went back, both reps I got were superb. I loved my dress - RK was one of the only ones that had it and the alterations were perfect.

One of the only places that had the style number that I was looking for. They don't take appointments but they found the dress I wanted to try on very quickly. They give the attention that you need without the over the top pressure of wedding dress shopping!

Had so much with my girls here, and the team was amazing!

I loved my dress, it was a Saison Blanche gown and I would have never picked it out from the racks but my bridal attendant Jo picked it out. Jo is awesome and if you go there, totally ask for her or see when she is working. She made the experience so great for me and my family and friends. The only complaint I have about the place is the alterations department and how they operate. Your in a smaller room with about 3 other brides at some points and you feel very rushed so you almost don't get enough time to walk in the dress and see how comfortable you are during your fitting appointments. Also, they never run on time. In the end my dress was too tight which made me uncomfortable by the end of the night I wanted to rip it off! So if you do go there and have your alterations done, make sure you take your time to see how the dress feels when you walk or sit down.

I walked into RK Bridal with what felt like an impossible task, especially in the current wedding industry. I needed a size 16 dress of my dreams in stock because we had to push our wedding date way up and we had less than a month to plan everything. Not only that, but I had minimal time for alterations, needed something to fit my budget of under $500, and I really needed a corset back because I was having medical issues that included severe bloating. I worked with Cheryl and she barely even flinched, assured me she would find me my dress, and proceeded to escort me back into a fitting room to examine the selection of dresses I had already picked out. \r\n\r\nWe tried them all on and she shook her head and said we hadn\'t found it yet. She disappeared into the racks and racks of dresses and insisted we weren\'t going to stop until we found 3 dresses I loved to choose from. We didn\'t make it because when we found the 2nd dress I loved, there was no need to continue. I would have NEVER...and I emphasize never thought to pick out the style she went with, but as soon as I saw it on, it was the absolute perfect dress. I felt like I had lost 10 pounds and it made my plus size figure look amazing. My family lives halfway across the country so I was shopping alone so Cheryl took me around the store to get opinions from other brides, family/friends, and another consultant. \r\n\r\nI felt like the most beautiful bride and walked out with a dress UNDER my budget that was marked down to half off. Cheryl asked me about alterations and sat with me to show me exactly what I needed to do (and suggested cutting off the train when I had it hemmed so that it didn\'t hide the back detail and fit our backyard venue better). Also, rather than trying to talk me into a veil that would be out of my budget and take too long to get in, she let me try on a couple of different styles so that I could get a sense of what worked best with the dress. It turned out perfectly, and my husband cried as soon as he saw me in my dress coming down the aisle (and he is not normally one to cry). \r\n\r\nI also have to say the young woman at the counter when I first came in was wonderful. She listened to what I needed when I first came in and reassured me that it could be done. She suggested I save time by signing up first and then looking around and picking out a couple of dresses. She also suggested I be very up front about exactly what I needed when I was paired with a consultant. And a couple of hours later as I was getting ready to leave, she remembered me and made a point to ask how it had gone. It was the perfect experience, and I\'m so grateful I went to RK Bridal.

RK Bridal is where to go if you're a bride on a budget in NYC. I don't recommend you go to this store if you don't know exactly what you want. However, my parents live in St. Louis and I had basically picked my dress with them shopping at boutiques there. I was warned to not buy a dress on the east coast because there is major price inflation. However, RK Bridal matched exactly the price I was quoted in the midwest which made the whole dress process easier as I don't visit home that often. I went in with my bridesmaids, tryed on my dress and bought it that day. The alterations department was great, although maybe a little pricey. I paid a little over $400 for all my alterations which were fairly simple (taking the dress in and up, adding removable straps and a belt). My dress did have a beautiful lace though which looked impeccable after alterations. We also went to try on bridesmaid dresses that day. However they only have one size and one color in each dress so my little bridesmaids were trying on size 14s and trying to get a read on whether it was flattering. Again, I just recommend going to a different store to choose dresses and then going to RK for the value. That probably sounds shady or cheap but when you're spending so much on a wedding, every little savings adds up. If you're a bride who wants the whole TLC "Say Yes to the Dress" moment, you won't find it here, but you will find savings.

I purchased my dress at RK Bridal and had a very good experience. When going in to try on gowns I went on a Sat. morning right when they opened. I really recommend you go there once they open and they get extremely busy, especially on a Saturday. It was quiet in the morning while I was trying on gowns, and by the time I was ready to leave it was pretty packed! When you get there you sign your name in and search through the racks looking for about 5 dresses to start with. They are separated by designer which helped me b/c by then I knew which designers I liked and didn't like. My attendant was very sweet and once she saw the type of dresses I was looking at then went out to grab more in similar styles. I ended up purchasing an Enzoani gown which my friend picked from the rack. I actually saw this gown on several sites where girls noted they had paid $300 - $400 more then what I had paid! The ordering process was fine, and I made my alteration appointments at the time of purchase, which they recommend as they book up fast! I actually ended up having to change one of them down the road and it was not an issue. The alterations process was fine as well, my seamstress was great and I did not have any problems. I cut off about 12" from the back of my dress as it was very long, which I understood would not be part of the standard alterations but I also thought that I had not gone to the max of the standard alterations, as I only had a small hem and it taken in a little at the chest. I ended up being billed for the full alternation cap plus the cost to cut the back. I felt that cost was a bit high, but in the end a small price as I loved my gown and it fit great! I would recommend making a trip to RK Bridal!

I first found my dress at a small & chic boutique . . . but found it again at RK for $1100 less! Olga was very helpful during my initial shopping process. After purchasing my dress & veil, the rest of the fitting-room staff were also very kind and helpful. They're not much on gushing on you and having you & your girls lounge about drinking champagne and leafing through magazines. You have to be ready to go in, do your shopping, and leave. BUT, NYC-brusqueness aside, RK is the place to go for selection, pricing and super-professional & perfect alterations.

I found my dress at RK Bridal in Manhattan. I highly recommend visiting this store, but doing some background work before your visit. It's important to know that RK Bridal is more like a warehouse than a Bridal store. No appointments are made, unless you're scheduling alterations. You will be asked to pull dresses yourself from the racks and depending which sales consultant you are assigned with, you may not receive much help doing so. My advice would be to have a general idea of what you're looking for, including designer names and dress styles, and to bring a few friends if possible. I visited this store 4 times before finding my dress. After 3 visits, I was lucky to have been assigned to Cheryl who was more helpful than I could imagine. I told Cheryl what I was looking for and she showed me a dress that was so beautiful, and I would have never found on my own. I ended up buying the dress, an elaborate Allure gown from the limited collection, not shown on websites- Allure L283. I cannot thank Cheryl enough for her assistance and don't think I could have found a more beautiful gown without her help. I found the dress prices to be very reasonable and the selection to be extremely diverse. There are many more dresses listed on the website, but the store is big enough to hold something for every style. I highly recommend RK Bridal based on price and selection. I recommend doing some research before visiting the store. Ask for Cheryl's help as well.

Jo was great! I went to RK bridal 11 months before my wedding just to look around. I didn't expect to find a dress on my first visit somewhere. It's one of the few places in nyc where you don't need an appointment, so I thought I'd just look around. They have an amazing selection of dresses. It's a little overwhelming at first, but they have it all. You have to have patience in the beginning. It can be very crowded & you have to go around & pick out 5 dresses. Once your name comes up on the list, your consultant will pick more dresses for you based on the ones you brought in. I'm not sure if you can request a consultant, but Jo was wonderful!

I went to R.K. Bridal after going to Macy's bridal salon and being highly disappointed in the customer service there. I was looking for an eden bridal gown- which the knot said was carried at Macy's I told the woman my pricepoint and she essentially laughed at me and tried to sell me a gown 3x what I wanted to spend. I was disappointed and after a consolation lunch with my mom and sisters we decided to stop into RK and see what they had to offer. After running across town so we could be there by the last appointment time on Saturday, we pulled the dresses ourselves that I wanted to try on- it was a specific look I wanted- lace and key hole back and certainly not strapless. We pulled a few dresses to start with- one of which the woman said no one looked good in and she wouldn't let me try it on- thank god, because she said hang on a second and came back with two wonderful dresses which were exactly what I wanted. One was simple lace with a little bling, and one was bedazzled but in a classy way. I ended up with the simple lace one and loved it from the second i put it o until the second i took it off. and I want to wear it every day from now on ... The only thing I would warn about RK is that you aren't getting the Klienfields experience, its some where between Filenes basement bridal sale and TJ Maxx, but if you like getting your hands on teh dress and you want the best bang for your buck go here. Alterations were all paid for in cash which was a bit strange but as they got everything done in 2 sessions and the dress fit like a glove I was fine with it.

I loved my dress, I did not like feeling like I was in a marketplace. Overall the staff tried to be professional but sometimes it seems they did not remember to follow up on fitting dates and correct payment amounts. The dress was beautiful though!

If you're looking for a cute boutique where you can really bond with a gown consultant, RK is NOT the place for you. But if you're looking for a TON of choices that are reasonably priced and beautiful, along with competent staff (consultants, tailors, etc) then RK is just the place. Granted, I had to wait around when shopping and altering my dress, but I ended up with a gorgeous dress that didn't break the bank. My sales consultant (Jo) was also AMAZING. She was able to take my (often vague) descriptions and magazine tear sheets and show me the dresses that were just my style. The dress I ended up buying was actually the first dress she put me in (I had to try some more things on, but it was perfect from the start). As long as you prepare yourself for a big store with some waiting and some chaos, you can have a really great experience at RK, and end up with a great dress!

STAY AWAY from RK! I bought a beautiful Casablanca wedding gown from RK Bridal in July for a wedding in November (had to pay for a rush order). When the dress came it was way too long. I called and RK Bridal they offered a few excuses: They said that maybe I lost weight, then they tried saying that that the measurements taken in the store are only to decide what generic size will fit you best, not to individually tailor the dress. Then they said that they would need to see the dress on me, knowing that I live 300 miles away and that the wedding is only 4 weeks away. The lady in the store said that the dress would be made to my measurements, but RK is denying that. Now I'm spending an extra $450 to have the dress altered and considering small claims court.

The dress was beautiful and I received so many positive comments, but a few pointers. #1 DON'T go looking for your dress on a Saturday afternoon. Bridezillas gone WILD. It was chaos in there. #2 DO schedule your fittings immediately after you purchase the dress. I waited too long and then there were hardly any slots to choose from and they were very inflexible. #3. Think about getting your alterations elsewhere. a little expensive for the quality.

Pros: They have TONS of dresses and the girl who helped me was so sweet. She was very supportive and didn't push to make the sale. When I knew I had found THE dress, she helped me envision the whole picture by adding a veil and clearing a path so that I could "see myself walk down the aisle" it was amazing. Cons: The alterations area isn't the greatest. I had an appointment that I would show up early for. I would still end up waiting sometimes thirty minutes after my scheduled appointment before I was called in. The seamstress is wonderful, but some of the attendants are not all that attentive. Overall I was happy with the experience, but the delays when I had an appointment booked months in advance was a little irritating. All-in-all though I would recommend this store to most soon-to-be-brides!

Although the bridal consultant was very good and found THE dress for me, I cannot say the same thing about the rest of the staff. They are very rude, unhelpful and pushy. My bridesmaids all got their dresses from the store as well and they did not attempt to help out at all because we chose the "No Frills" program. When I flew to NY to pick up my dress they failed to tell me that I had to pay NY taxes on it when I could have gotten the dress shipped to my house for cheaper. There is a lack of proffessionalism and courtesy.

I got my dress here (Watters & Watters), but only after having tried it on several times in smaller, quieter bridal boutiques in NY & NJ. This place is awesome for selection- tons of styles & prices, but is very, V-E-R-Y busy (esp. on weekends!!!) and you need to be kind of pushy to get attention. Prices are hundreds less than other small, fancy, NYC bridal stores, probably because this place feels more like a warehouse than a bridal store. Totally worth it though! The seamstress I had (Nina, I think) was AMAZING, dress fit perfectly, and she was able to add some broaches to my belt, looked perfect! Not a place for the shy and timid, but I really had a good experience. Also got my veil here, and everything got delivered to the store weeks earlier than they said!

Great for bigger sizes! Great prices! Go on a weekday to avoid the crowds and bring a few people with you to help look for the dresses.

RK Bridal was a highly recommended resource. I went to several other locations in the tri-state area to look at wedding dresses. When I went to RK Bridal, Jo was the attendant I worked with. I came with pictures and a vision. She was excellent. Jo immediately understood what I was looking for. The alterations department did an amazing job with the dress and it fit like a glove. I highly recommend RK Bridal to any bride on her quest for the perfect dress.

Great value for your money, great to work with, so easy to receive goods and general questions answered, great selection, ordered 22 dresses to date from here, including the dress my mom wore to my wedding and was very satisfied with the customer service, timeliness of dresses arrival and with the "no frills" policy.

I had a good experience here overall. The only thing is when I first bought the dress, the sales girl told me it would not be a problem changing it from corset to a zipper. However, it was and I had to keep the corset. So if you want any changes done to your dress, make sure they call over the seamstress before you buy. Also, they run out of appointments very fast so if something comes up last minute, its usually very had to change your appointment. Otherwise, everyone is very nice and professional and everything was done on time.

Last December, My wedding party and I ordered our dresses for my Sept 4th wedding.They did not have my dream dress. I was very disappointed! I picked out nine dresses and hated all of them. Jo was great. She brought three dresses for me to try on. Adorae was the third and final dress! I was told my Sottero & Midgley: Adorae would take three months to arrive. The dress arrived two weeks later. My bridesmaids dress arrived in March! I thought the price for alterations were a bit steep! After the dress was hemmed, altered and bustled, I was quite happy!!

I bought my bridal gown and bridesmaid dress at RK Bridal. This is a great store with a huge selection of dresses. Whatever your taste and price range is you'll be able to find a dress here! All of our dresses came in earlier than expected.

I bought my wedding gown here as it's right near my office which was quite convenient for fittings. The staff at RK Bridal were very experienced, and their seamstresses in house are terrific (alterations are by far less expensive here than anywhere in Manhattan). There's a huge selection so be prepared to spend hours there, but they will match and beat all prices. My wedding dress was one of the day's many highlights. I can honestly say it looked and fit perfectly. They also offer the service following your wedding to clean and preserve which I will be taking them up on.

a real mill, do not go if you think that customer service is there priority taken the money and trying to selling damaged and defect items are I bought my veil there and even though I inspected it there, it had a hole and they said I must of did it when I left stay far away

RK has an incredible selection of dresses. I got my dress there after looking at several other stores and being disappointed in the variety. Weekends are crazy but once you get a consultant, they are attentive. Their prices are very good. I compared their price for the dress I picked to other stores and they were several hundred dollars less. The alterations process was ok. I will say that if you need to change the fitting appointments you make 8 months in advance when you order the dress, they are reluctant, even just the time. But they alterations were good and reasonable especially with everything that had to get done to it. When I went to pick up my dress it was steamed and packaged well and looked great when I took it out of the bag.

I went to RK Bridal because they were the only shop in the area that carried a dress that I had seen online. It as a little overwhelming when you walk in, but you are paired with a sales assistant that actually listens to what you want and helps you find dresses that fit your budget and style. Aisha was great - totally honest (unlike other stores, where they tell you that everything looks aaamazing on you, and it's the one...). The dresses that she picked for me to try on were exactly what I had described, as well as good for my body type. I ended up purchasing the gown that I originally came in for. The prices are great - my dress was about $500 cheaper than other retailers sold it for. The only downside is that you are not allowed to take pictures of anything until you make a purchase.

I had heard about RK from a friend and said she loved it. I got a great price for THE dress that I've been searching for over a month for and RK was the biggest and best place with the largest selection! Loved the dress and they have a large amount of employees there to help you. My only heads up to brides going there is I would definitely go first thing in the morning, like be there when they open because they dont' take appointments. And second, Let that be one of the LAST stores you look. Because, there is a 7 dress limit. Since there are no appointments, it's first come first serve for the amount of rooms and sales people they have. Then you go on a list and your helped in order in which you came. So if you want to try on more than seven, you go back on the bottom of the list. Soooo, I went there as one of my last tries first thing on a Sunday morning, which was great because after trying on gowns at multiple other places, I knew exactly what I was looking for and the style I wanted to try on. And I FOUND THE PERFECT DRESS! :)

So, when I went to RK I knew what I was getting into because I had read the reviews. It's chaotic and hectic and extremely draining trying on dresses here. You only get 7 dresses and then you have to get back in line. I went on a Saturday and realized that it's worth taking off time during the week to go. They have EVERYTHING! You get a fabulous selection of reasonably priced dresses. But that's all that is redeemable about this place. (FYI - the dress I liked at Kleinfeld was the same exact price here. I didn't buy that dress though). So, the dress I did order, I was told to order in the size up. I explained that I would be losing weight but she said all brides say that. So I took their suggestion. Which would have been fine if the seamstress was interested in fitting the dress to my body instead of my body to the dress. Previous to my first fitting I asked if they had cups and petticoats for my strapless trumpet style dress. I was told they did and that I shouldn't get that beforehand. I could order that at my first fitting. It would have been helpful if they told me they only have ONE CUP SIZE and one petticoat. Since I'm petite it makes a difference what cup size I had. I went from A's to full C's. And I had to get chicken cutlets to fill the dress since my seamstress was incapable of fitting the cup to my bust. By the time my first fitting rolled around my dress was 3 sizes too big obvioulsy another problem for my seamstress who didn't want to take in the hips on my trumpet style dress and take up the hem dragging on the floor. After fitting #2 when my nipples still showed when I lifted my arms above my head, and I had to make a scene, did she sort-of listen to me. At my final fitting, the dress was still not completed and I was told the it "should feel like this." After a few nightmares of what "this" feels like, I insisted on a 4th fitting. When I got there, she proceeded to argue with me that the dress fits like it's supposed to. Except I was still flashing the dressing room when I lifted my arms. This was also extremely difficult to communicate since my seamstress did not speak English. When I asked for a 2nd opinion, I was in between 2 women speaking Spanish at me and then told to go change and wait a 1/2 hr while the alterations were made. Since I didn't understand a word they said, I asked for a translator who explained they were fixing it. Where was this lady to begin with? 2 HOURS LATER, I tried my dress on and it was fine. Not great, but I wasn't showing my whohas anymore. I picked my dress up a week later, to find the right cup was not sewn in. I had to wait while they fixed it. I was extremely nervous my entire wedding day about flashing everyone or losing a silcone pad on the dance floor. It obviously wasn't ok. Oh and to top it all off, they adjusted the bustle on my dress without telling me and it was too long. I had to makeshift it with safety pins. Luckily I had the best stepmother and bridal attendant in the world who fixed it for me.

I went to RK 3 times before I found my dress. it was beautiful. they were very helpful. It's not a upscale bridal shop, but they get the job done.

I loved the dress I found here but the alteration process is a mess. It's impossible to get appointments and they could care less about your situation. They will not make you feel special and the management is rude.

I bought a Maggie Sottero dress at RK Bridal, it was sold for significantly less than I saw it in more boutique stores. I purchased the dress in December, and it was delivered in May. I was promised it would be in earlier than it was, and was very stressed when it was late, but ultimately, the dress was done in time. I had the dress altered at RK to add sleeves and a back, and I love the way it turned out. It took a lot of prodding of the seamstress, but ultimately, they covered exactly was I wanted them to, and I am very happy with the finished product. It was a bit of hassle to work with RK, but I think it was worth it in the end.

I brought my dress from RK Bridal and my experince was nice. Since I purchase a dress fromt his store before I new what to expect. The service was good and although it is not as private as I would like it was not as bad as some says. The pstore yes gets very crowded, but if you go early (openining time) You will not get the crowd. Also going during th week is much better than the weekend.

RK Bridal is the best place to shop for the Dress of your Dreams. I was so stressed at finding the perfect dress for my BIG day and going to RK Bridal was the best decision I made. I saved over $400 for my gown. I saw it in a shop here in NJ, but when I went to RK, they had the same dress for a lot less. A special thanks to Sales Rep Jo, who was just fabulous!!!! I couldn't have done it with out her. Thank you so much RK Bridal. I definitely recommend you all the BTBs.

I looked for dresses at numerous places before finding RK Bridal. I immediately fell in love with the amazing service I received from Aisha on my first visit. She really listened to what I was looking for and gave her honest opinion in a constructive manner. In fact, she ended up picking out the dress I fell in love with and wore on my wedding day! Unlike other shops I had been to, you are encouraged to look at any dresses on the racks and they are not secretive about the style names or numbers of the dress you try on. I loved my experience shopping for my wedding dress at RK Bridal so much, that I got all the dresses from my bridesmaids there as well! I was also very happy with my experience with their alterations department.

RK Bridal was exceptional! My mother and I arrived before the doors opened and was one of the first to be helped. I appreciated that you are able to look through the racks to find dresses. The woman that helped us asked me tons of questions, checked out my style of what I was wearing and then pulled a range of dresses that she thought would look great on my body! She was excellent inthe end i decided to go with a dress that she chose! It was totally my style and we added some finishing touches with a sash from a different dress! Perfect! Everything that a girl could have asked for!

This location was very good. The only problem I had was they hired a tailor that was inexperienced who only did this as a side gig. She did my first fitting and it took her 1.5 hours to do my bustle. She didn't do it to my satisfaction. When I came back for my second fitting, nothing had been done because she had been fired. Luckily, they quickly assigned me to a new tailor and she took care of my dress, but I lost a fitting in the process.

A wonderful selection of wedding gowns and prices that were competitive with other bridal shops. Service was excellent and helpful.

Most amazing selection of dresses. Staff is very helpful and gives you plenty of time. You are also able to look through the racks for your own dress which many stores do not allow you to do. I was also able to alter certain features on my dress and add on other pieces. Wonderful experience.

RK Bridal can get a little crazy when you first go shopping, but every follow-up went very smoothly. They have so many dresses from so many of the well-known designers all at reasonable prices. I absolutely loved my Alfred Sung dress. Their alterations department also did a phenominal job.

This place is great bc they have the widest selection of dresses that you can hand pick yourself. This is great for those who did their research and know exactly what they want to try on. I knew what I wanted picked it then bought it. They have dresses for every budget. Its not like Kleinfeld's that if you aren't spending a certain amount they pay you little mind. The only thing about this place I wish they had was like boutique feel but they are always so busy its hard to get that bc its first come first served. My alterations were done by Ampalo and she was amazing. She is the sweetest lady. I told her to like different times to move the lace then switch then back etc and she was like whatever you need to be a happy bride. I was so impressed by not only her patience and professionalism but also her amazing talents. She pulled my dress in so much since I lost weight and made it more mermaid to be sexy and wow I got soooooo many compliments. I give her a 10!!! In regards to their customer service it could be better but I later saw that their were only a few girls handling everything and it like a wedding factory in there. Also they offer wedding dress preservation at a great price too. Overall I was more than pleased with my dress!!!

RK Bridal (I am speechless with the amount of knowledge the staff has!). So, I went to visit RK Bridal in January 2011. My mind was set on A-line white dress!! The staff member who assisted me is Olga. We tried on 4 different A-line dresses. The response from myself, my mom and grandma was 'It's nice, it's ok'. All of you brides know that THIS IS NOT THE TYPE OF RESPONSE YOU WANT WHEN LOOKING FOR YOUR WEDDING DRESS!! The 5th dress I tried on was actually beautiful, but it was missing something. I asked Olga if there was anyway the mid section of the A-line dress could be tighten. She looked at me through the mirror and asked 'so you like curves?' I said 'YES!!' She said 'Ok, let me find something for you.' She came back with a trumpet style dress with ruffles on the bottom. I looked at her and immediately said 'I AM NOT TRYING THIS DRESS ON, IT IS NOT MY STYLE, PLEASE GET ME AN A-LINE DRESS.' She said, 'i know, I will get you an a-line, but please just try this on. I want to see something.' I said, 'Ok, but we are wasting time.' Well, I tried this dress on. When I came out of the dressing room, my mom and grandma's eyes were huge! I looked at the dress myself and started to cry!! The moral of this review is, the staff at RK Bridal knows what you want, even if you 'think' you know what you want. They were very professional, patient and the dresses are inexpensive!! Excellent wedding dress!

We bought my mom's dress at RK, and if you are looking for a mother-of-the-bride dress, there is definitely a huge selection at RK. But be warned that every trip you make to the store will leave you in a bad mood and with a headache. RK doesn't take appointments, so when you go there to look for a dress, you have to put your name on a list and wait to be called. Not only could you be waiting for almost an hour, but it's also extremely difficult to hear your name because the store is so chaotic. And if you don't identify yourself on time, they move on to the next person, and you lose your spot. The dressing rooms are small and unkempt. Unlike at the higher-end stores, the consultants aren't skilled at manipulating the sample dresses to make them fit, so it's hard to see what you'd really look like in the dress. You are jostling with tons of other customers to get a turn using the raised pedestals and large mirrors. When my mom finally found a dress she liked, the person who measured her was very rough, physically turning her this way and that without warning and at one point fully unzipped the back of her dress even though there was a group of men standing 5 feet away. When I tried to cover her up, the woman snapped at me because I was in her way.

Very attentive, got my dress here. gorgeous. They have a walk-in service, you sign on this list. They will suggest any ideas.

RK Bridal is like Marshall’s with amazing staff. I personally could not have found a single dress on my own because everything was too packed together on the racks for my liking. But that’s when Cheryl came in and she was exactly what we needed. I showed her pictures of dresses that I knew they had in stock (you can also call them ahead of time and they will give you prices over the phone) and she brought me those dresses as well as others that fit my style. She quickly got me through about 8 dresses in less than 2 hours and I had it narrowed down to 3 very different styles that I was happy with. I ended up buying my dress elsewhere but would absolutely recommend this dress to anyone trying to get a good deal. The dresses I found there were in the $1500 range but easily looked like they cost 2-3 times that. They also have many dresses that are much cheaper as well.

DO NOT BUY YOUR WEDDING DRESS AT RK BRIDAL! I am getting married in 2 weeks, and I cannot wait until I don't have to deal with these people any more. They ordered me the wrong size dress, so when I arrived for my first alteration appointment, the dress was huge. The poor seamstress had to remake the entire dress, and now I've been there 5 times for fittings, and the dress still doesn't fit right. I've never really complained about service somewhere before, but I have cried after almost every appointment so far. They wanted to charge me an extra $120 for the alterations even though it's THEIR fault that they ordered the wrong size dress, which I refused to pay. Instead, they cut corners to fix the problem and have created 7 new ones. I wear a 34D bra size, and they have somehow managed to make me look flat chested. After 4 fitting appointments, they had altered the dress in such a way that my bra was now showing, and so they took it off of me, and are trying to insist that I need to go bra-less on my wedding day! RK bridal cuts corners, gives you the run-around, and makes you feel stupid. A bride shouldn't have to deal with that before her wedding! This place has been absolutely awful. Please please please don't buy your wedding dress here. It may be cheaper, but you will waste days and days dealing with their schemes.

I got my Watters dress at RK Bridal. Dress was gorgeous. Bottom line: If you're looking for a lovely dress that's in your budget and don't mind the less glamorous atmosphere, go here. On the plus side, they are a great value, have a ton of options, know their selection very well, are pleasant to work with, and the alterations were spot on. Janice, my consultant, knew exactly what I was looking for once I showered her some flagged picts from a wedding magazine and the fourth dress I tried on (out of 7) was perfect. Did I mention the alterations were spot on? (And totally well priced... $240 for everything.) The con side is that this is definitely a value shop, meaning there won't be champagne or unlimited try ons. Also, at busy times it can be overwhelming. You've got to make all of your fitting appointments in the shop, or at least I recommend doing so, because it can be really hard to get a hold of the alterations department.

One of the few places that doesn't require an appointment. Went on a whim, not planning on getting a dress, and ended up falling in love. Got on their mailing list and was invited to the sample sale. Went back 2 weeks later and walked out in an hour with an elaborate $250. The consultant never pushed me towards something more expensive. I felt like I had all the time to choose, and she even pulled cheaper gowns from the clearance despite the prospect that I might buy something else. I had such a lovely, easy experience. Weekends do seems a bit crowded and there are limited dressing rooms, so a weekday trip might be least stressful.

I purchased a sash for my dress and my bridesmaids purchased their dresses. We received very professional service and the value is incredible!

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I wandered into this store without knowing what to expect, but after waiting 30 mins and getting subpar service at David's Bridal, I had very low expectations. I signed up at a clipboard in order to get a bridal try-on room and a consultant while my bridesmaids set out to find me some dresses - we picked out a good range of styles, and ultimately went with the dress that my bridal consultant picked out - she talked with me and was super friendly (Glenda? Gilda? I forget her name, this was last year, I'm married now). The dress was simple and stylish. I'm a no-frills kinda gal, and she understood my style completely. The following consultations for fittings were stellar; I was able to try my dress on with several sets of jewelry, etc at each fitting, and took my time when I wanted to. My bridesmaids also purchased their dresses there, and we all have no complaints whatsoever about the service. They're in the business of getting you what you want in the quickest way possible. It's not fancy, nor will you get champagne and fancy finger foods, but if you're down to earth and looking at a more reasonable price point for your big day, this is the place to go.

I was not a fan of RK Bridal. Yes they have great prices but the staff is rude and unhelpful. They limit the number of dress you can try on and most of the time I was left by myself to get in and out of these huge gowns. If you try on a dress you love, maybe go back and buy it there to save money just dont expect to even get a smile, thank you or have a nice day because the entire staff is miserable!

The women here are very helpful. But remember to MAKE AN APPOINTMENT. Or else you'll just be walking around aimlessly. They arent pushy or trying to sell you something you dont like. Very big selection in plus size dresses.

This is a no frills New York shop with a HUGE selections of dresses. My consultant JO was fabulous! The dress I purchased was her pick. She understood exactly what I wanted. The dress was ordered and shipped to Canada. Reid, the owner, completely understands International shipping and duties. Their pricing is very good. I saw the dress I purchased in NY for over $800 more in Canada. We also bought the Maid of Honor's dress here. Highly Recommend.

I bought my wedding dress at RK Bridal and was very happy that I did! They have an unbelievable amount of dresses there, and the staff does a great job finding dresses for you to try on based on what you are looking for. You cannot beat the prices at RK Bridal. I saw multiple dresses there that I had seen previously at other stores and the price at RK Bridal was dramatically less. I would definitely recommend stopping by RK Bridal and taking a look- you won't regret it!

I was nervous about RK Bridal because of the many negative reviews I had read. However, I had a wonderful experience from the moment I first walked in, all the way to putting on my perfectly altered, pressed and steamed dress the day of my wedding. Jo, my bridal gown consultant, was friendly and helpful and supportive right away. She was very professional, and listened to exactly what I wanted and helped me find my dress. She was extremely down to earth and real about everything, and waited to get excited until I knew for sure that I was purchasing the dress she had helped me to decide on. I appreciated that I could trust her - I had not had that feeling about the consultants at other "more prominent" (read: media darling) bridal salons in Manhattan. I was sized for the dress and the man who did so warned me that bridal gown sizes are two sizes up from one's street size - this, he said, explains why a lot of brides foolishly order a dress that is too small and then have fitting nightmares. I just wanted a dress that fit, so this was not a problem! :-) Who cares what the number says?? They informed me that I should set up my 3 fittings immediately, to make sure I got the best times for me - this is really important, because they fill up and then you may get stuck with few options. Don't wait until the dress comes in to set these up! I appreciated that they were clear about this, to make it easy for me. The dress came quickly, and the fittings were easy - since they had made sure I ordered the right size in the first place. At the final fitting, I had lost a little more weight, and they took in the bust right there on the spot so I wouldn't have to come back in again. I had a wonderful experience with everyone in alterations, and hope that other brides won't be scared off by the scathing reviews. I highly recommend RK bridal for its incredible selection, extremely reasonable fair prices, and excellent customer service. If you can't work with Jo, there are other consultants who helped me out, too - this is a great place to find your wedding gown. As my husband said, "They definitely got you the right dress!"

Good dress selection and cheaper prices than local boutiques. It can be a bit of a mad house but I was able to get THE dress there at a price lower than I expected. I shopped around at more expensive boutiques, which is where I found my dress. But I went to RK Bridal because they undersold them by several hundred dollars. The dress arrived and the alterations process was a bit of a nightmare. The tailor was pushy and tried to get me to have my bustle done in a very unattractive way. I literally had to argue with her about it until she finally "gave in" and agreed to do it the way I wanted. In the end, she finally relented but still didn't fix bunching around my bust line that I had pointed out at the very first fitting. I eventually took it to another tailor after I picked it up who fixed it for me in 2 days. I also purchased shoes from them. They said they would call me when they arrived, but I had to call them to see if they arrived. The shoes arrived late and after I called to confirm, they called me the next day saying they had "just arrived". But the shoes were beautiful and not too pricey. Bottom line: you'll be wowed by their prices and underwhelmed by their service.

RK was perfect, the store can be overwhelming and you may not get personal attention but if you're willing to just pick a bunch of things to try on and keep going until you find something the price is more then worth it. The alterations also came out perfect. I was so thrilled with my dress and nothing about the experience was a hassle.

They have a great clearance rack if you're willing to dig through a few dresses yourself... I found a dress that was originally about 1500 marked on clearance for 70% off!!! Ended up being about $480.

I got my bridal gown here over a year before the wedding and everything ran super smoothly. I also got my dress altered here and I can't complain at all. It seems like all dresses are more reasonably priced here and they even price match if you find it cheaper somewhere else. Love this place!

Wow! And to think I nearly settled for a David's Bridal dress! I'm a size 14/16, so there are many, many stores that would make it nearly impossible for me to try on a decent variety of dresses. At RK I was able to try on more dress than I could count! And, trying them on was FUN...Olga is sweet and great to work with! And, the dresses were beautiful, and overall I'd say that the quality of materials used (I looked in the $750 - $1k price range) were much better than what's used at David's Bridal as well. And then, when my unique dress came in w/ all of the silver threadwork in gold (yuck!) Natalia at the front desk contacted the manufacturer, got them to take the dress back, and then helped me get what was my close 2nd choice dress super quick! That dress was lovely, I was very happy with it! She did say that it's "never that easy" when a dress comes in wrong, but she certainly did help! Every member of the staff I encountered was nice and helpful......try saying that about any other bridal salon! Due to reviews I saw online I chose to get my alterations done elsewhere, closer to home, but a friend of mine bought and had her dress altered at RK and it was just fine. I also stayed away from the store on weekends which seemed helpful too.

If you haven't found your dress by now, you haven't been to RK Bridal. Their selection is amazing. My only advice is to bring around 4-5 girls with you to help you hold the gowns since the store is very large and you'll want to browse as much as possible. You could even have 1 girl assigned to stand by the waiting list to listen for your name to be called. :) They can get quite busy so try to avoid the weekend rush if at all possible!

At first I had purchased the wrong dress because the person who assisted me only selected dresses of the same style for me to try on... They were all ruched to the side and puffy. So I bought one based on her reviews of how it made me look and how great I looked in it. When I got home, I felt hosed. I began looking for another dress online and found that I really wanted a mermaid fit. So I wrote to the store manager to see if there was anything I could do, and I'm giving them 5 stars across the board for working with me and they helped me find the perfect dress. Nina was magical with her alterations. I felt beautiful on my wedding day, that's because I was.

I shopped for my wedding dress here but bought elsewhere. However the consultant was very helpful in choosing dresses for me after I gave her an idea of what I was looking for. They have a lot of mid price range dresses. $1000-2000. This store was amazing for choosing bridesmaid dresses. They must have 30 different designers with all the styles of each designer and their swatch books. I brought 2 bridesmaids with me here (on a week day they get packed on weekends) to pick out a designer and color. My bridesmaids (all 8 of them) each choose a different style, so it was important to me to find a designer with lots of nice styles. It worked out great being able to compare them all side by side rather than looking at a picture online. Its a great place to start for bridesmaid dresses!

RK Bridal is aptly considered a wedding gown warehouse b/c that's exactly what it is. I echo others' sentiments that you should already have an idea of what kind of dress you're looking for - even better, know which designers you like. There are some rules that you have to follow once you enter RK Bridal. Head straight to the back and put your name on the sign-up sheet. I went on a weekday around 5pm, but the cut-off for signing up is 5:30 even though the shop closes at 7pm. We waited about 30 minutes to be called, during which time we browsed the many racks to find dresses I liked. This is definitely the most overwhelming aspect of the experience b/c there are literally hundreds of dresses on those racks. All that white is kind of blinding, and your arms will be tired by the end of it b/c those dresses are heavy! They say to find 5 dresses to bring in with you, and then your consultant will find more based on what you like and don't like. My consultant was nice and really great about finding more dresses for me. I think I tried on about 10 dresses, and there were a couple that piqued my interest, but nothing that really hit home for me. Unfortunately, they don't allow you to take photos, but they do write down the dress style numbers and prices for you to take home. The prices are really great - nothing I tried on was more than $1700 - so if you're a bargain hunter, this is the place for you. Ultimately, it was too overwhelming an experience to really be able to enjoy. And trust me, I was raised by a mom who knows how to bargain shop like nobody's business! I'm pretty low-key and don't like to make a fuss - I'm pretty far removed from the high maintenance bride stereotype - so I thought this would be kind of perfect for me. But even my mom seemed disappointed by the whole experience - maybe b/c she feels that for a purchase like this, it's okay to be pampered and splurge a little. If I had found my dress, I would probably feel differently, but I left just feeling exhausted by the whole thing.

Let's just say if I had heard about this place after I got married I would be quite upset. Considering the little advertising they do I was lucky to find it. But I am thrilled I did. My consultant Gilda was so cute and so helpful. The constant compliment I got on my wedding day was I looked "Stunning!". And the guests didn't need to know it didn't cost me a fortune - as far as they thought it looked like I spent a fortune. But with RK Bridal I saved so much and it could not have been more perfect. Highly, highly recommend.

RK Bridal is absolutely fantastic! I initially thought I wanted a dress from a different store who also had great ratings and located in the heart of NYC. I went with such high expectations given their location and was completely disappointed. There were dresses on the floor, lipstick marks on most dresses, and it was extremely difficult to find help. I left that store with my head hung low, but my mom recommended we visit RK Bridal. I went and was completely blown away by the ease of working with the girls in RK Bridal. Cheryl was my consultant and amazing at that. She welcomed us in with a smile and even styled my hair with my dress! It was past the time appointments were allowed, but Cheryl made sure we were happy customers. She (and the entire team @ RK Bridal) treated us with such respect and enthusiasm, I just kept going back for more! Bridesmaids dresses, jewelry, and accessories oh my! I would definitely recommend anyone getting married (or in need of a party dress) to go to RK Bridal. Avoid BIG name stores who push for a sale! RK Bridal is so easy to work with and has GREAT PRICES. I found my couture wedding dress for less than $2,000 including veil, alterations, and shipment of my dress out of state. Thank you!

My experience with RK Bridal is only limited to the online "no frills" program. I have never stepped into the actual RK Bridal store as I live in California. I basically went to a few local bridal store in my area and tried on dresses. I got the brand, size, color and price of the dresses that I liked and called RK Bridal for a price quote. RK Bridal was able to get 2 out of the 3 dresses that I was considering. At the time, they were not able to get Pronovias dresses, but no problem on Maggie Sottero or La Sposa. The prices from RK Bridal was on average about $200 cheaper compared to the local bridal salon for the same exact dress! In addition, no tax and no shipping cost which means additional savings! The ordering process was pretty straightforward and went very smoothly. When I was finally ready to order THE DRESS, I faxed in my order form, called in with my credit card info and asked when the dress will arrive. I was skeptical about ordering my dress online since I really can't do much if anything goes wrong. Fast forward 3 months and the dress arrived at my door exactly the week they said it will. The dress was in brand new, perfect condition. They sent the correct style, size, color, plus a free garment bag and garter. In my opinion, the only disadvantages to ordering online through RK Bridal were 1) nobody to double check measurements - since some brands run bigger/smaller and the local bridal salon usually only has 1 size as the sample, you're taking a slight calculated risk here 2) I had to find my own alterations. But the money I saved was well worth it! If I had to do it all over again, I would definitely order from RK Bridal again!

Found my Winnie Couture Dress two years before my wedding at RK. I looked like a million bucks in my beautiful strapless A-line ball gown dress. If you know Eve of Milady dresses, then my dress mimics her dresses almost exactly. The beading/crystal designing details throughout the dress is fabulous. My mother paid $1300 for my dress, which would have been double that if bought elsewhere. The service was very good and convenient. I was worried about how they would do all the alterations with the beading details and not destroy the dress, but they did it. I have and would totally recommend them to any bride who wants a designer dress at a fraction of the cost; and if you don't mind wearing a dress that is a season or two behind. My dress was probably one or so season behind, but if you saw me in it, you would never be able to tell...some dresses are just timeless. Everyone at my wedding, especially my husband, loved the dress and kept talking about it even after the wedding. My only issue with RK is that there is no parking service. On the day of my dress pick up, I drove (couldn't have my beautiful dress on a train back to NJ) and had to send my friend that accompanied me in to get the dress because if you park, you could get a ticket because street parking around there is for commercial vehicles only. So plan ahead for your dress pick up.

Although the prices at RK Bridal are extremely competetive compared to other stores in Manhattan, I was disappointed to find my exact same dress online for hundreds less than the price I paid. RK Bridal claims to meet and beat online prices but that only applies to their mail-order program. That in and of itself would be fine if the service was top notch but unfortunately it wasn't. I was rushed throughout my initial and follow up appointment and my dress came in with snags and much too big. The staff insisted it was the size I ordered and in fact had a tag about to fall off stating the correct size but it fit way too big. I knew I had not lost that much weight in the time from purchase to its arrival so I asked to re-try the sample size which was a size larger than the one I ordered and that fit more snugly than the dress they were trying to pass off as my size. The seamstress finally measured the dress and sure enough, it was 2 sizes too big! The dress had to be re-ordered and the whole process just added to my stress. My sisters (bridesmaids) also ordered their dresses from RK and had issues just placing the order because the sample had the wrong style # listed. Also, when their dresses finally arrived (their dresses were ordered just a day after my dress was ordered but took 1.5 months longer than my bridal gown), they were extremely short. The sample size hit them on the knee and the dresses that arrived barely covered their tush. The sample had not been labeled "Tall" or "petite" and no one advised us that what was ordered would be different from what was tried on in the store. Unfortunately, because they purchased through their special "no frills" program they didn't get to see the problem until thet got home and tried them on a week later. At which point they had no time and ended up purchasing dresses off the rack at Bloomingdales. These dresses were actually a lot nicer so I guess it worked out but what a needless waste of money. This might be a good place to try on a couple dresses to get an idea of what you like but I suggest buying elsewhere. Buyer beware!

My dress was exactly what I wanted before I even knew that I wanted it. The staff that helped my find and make alterations were great and the quality of the work was outstanding. However, I found other staff members unresponsive on some visits and once had to wait a long time to get in for my appointment, but overall I was happy with my dress and have recommended my best friend to this shop.

I went to an expensive bridal store, then I went to RK bridal. I'm glad I did, they have a lot of dresses, many are knock offs of more expensive designs. Some of the staff in the alterations department are a bit unprofessional, not the wonderful seamstress I had, but other people I witnessed. But I do highly recommend going to RK. my dress arrived on time, some of the fittings I had to wait for, but otherwise I'm very happy with the service I got there, and how my dress came out.

I know it's not as posh as some of the other wedding dress venues, but the selection is amazing and the prices are reasonable. If you are indecisive, be prepared to return several times (they only let you try on 7 dresses at a time) but, again, I think it was worth it for me. I'd also recommend using another alterations place--I'm sure theirs are great, but I had exceptional service for less cost at another location.

If you are looking for the romantic wedding dress salon experience, RK is not it. It's run more like a warehouse where you sign up on a sheet upon arrival and a sales associate yells your name out when it is your turn to try on dresses. While not the experience you will have at brand name salons, you WILL get a ZILLION dress options from all different price points. It's basically one-stop-wedding-shopping. I wasn't looking to have people tell me I looked good in a dress just to get a sale, and these ladies were much more abrupt and to the point, which was much more my speed. Gilda helped me out and she was fantastic. She took a look at the shape of my body and worked her magic, picking different designs that fit my style and shape. I didn't feel pressured to buy, and even after we bought the dress she picked (she really knows what she's doing), we went back to solicit her help in matching jewelry and a veil, which we also bought at RK. I also HIGHLY recommend taking your bridesmaids here because they basically have all the dresses you see in every magazine. My girls picked their own dresses and felt confident in the selection because they had so many to choose from. You get a good price on everything, but it is because you are not paying for the luxury and glamour of more traditional salons. If you don't need/want those things, head to RK

I got my dress for a very reasonable price after I price-matched it from an online vendor. Unfortunately, I didn't know that if you price-match, you are not allowed to get your dress altered at RK, so I had to find some place else for alterations, which was fine. When the dress finally came into the store and I went to pick it up, the girl at the register just rolled up the dress and shoved it into a paper bag. I thought it needed to be treated with more care or something, but she seemed to not care or wasn't a big deal to her. (I was shocked with how my new dress was treated...) Anyways, other than the shocking dress pick-up incident, everything else was fine. My gown assistant, Josephine, was absolutely wonderful, she was super helpful and helped me find the right dress.

Ordered my dress from RK over the phone with less than 6 months till the wedding. Their price was lower than everyone else and they didn't charge a rush order fee. Payment was super simple. The dress arrived ahead of schedule and in pristine condition. One of the easiest vendors to work with.

I went to RK Bridal when one of the guys I work with said his wife went there for braids maids dresses and they were like half the pricing. The big day came to go get the dresses and I walked in and realized that they also have bridal dresses! This was in March and my wedding was to be in SEPTEMBER and still no wedding dress! So I found two dresses that I fell in love with and went with one. I got my bridesmaids dresses and wedding dress from here and the experience was good. You do need 3 months to order the dresses to get it from the manuf. Also, they definatly have a No frills policy which I can appriciate because when planning a wedding, no one wants to deal with crap. If you want to be pampered this is NOT the place for you. This is for serious buyers looking to get in and get out.

I went shopping here, but ultimately did not buy my dress here. The experience of shopping for a dress was fine. Sure, it is not a luxury experience. It is crowded, and salespeople kept traipsing in and out of my dressing room looking for veils and accessories. But the salespeople were knowledgeable, the selection large, and the prices reasonable. I ultimately found the dress that I bought somewhere else there. My problems came when I went to buy the dress. They said they would match any price from an authorized dealer, and I showed them an ad I found from a different bridal shop that had the same base price as my dress, but offered free alterations on bust/waist/hip. They refused to come down in price at all to match that offer--and rudely. They ultimately snatched the paper that had my measurements on it away (as if I wouldn't be able to figure them out again). I bought the dress from the place that had free alterations. They lost the sale, and the salesperson who spent all that time with me trying on dresses lost the commission.

Definitely no frills but you can get an amazing dress for much less than the boutique stores. I am from Ohio and thought that getting a dress there would be cheaper than NYC but I was wrong. The dress I chose was $400 less at RK than at the boutique in Ohio. It is a warehouse full of dresses and it can get busy so don't bring a large crowd, try to go on a weekday and go ready to do some serious dress hunting. I personally prefer to shop without the interference of pushy sales people. At RK they are there if you need them but pretty much leave you alone until you are ready to try on your selections. I also had my alterations done there. They too were cheaper than other places and my dress looked and fit amazing!

Don't believe everything you read about RK. If you're looking for a wide selection and helpful salespeople, go to RK. I had gone here a few years to purchase bridesmaid dresses for my sister's wedding. When it was my turn to get married, I came back to check out wedding gowns. Jo was my sales consultant, and she was fabulous. Without her expertise and ability to pick out a gown perfect for my height and body shape, I wouldn't have found this dress, which I received so many compliments on. The owner is very friendly and responsive. The seamstress did a great job, even though she was a little difficult when I wanted the length changed on my final fitting day. If you can afford the time to look around, and maybe wait a few minutes here and there, it's worth it! I also purchased my bridesmaids' dresses through RK and everytime I called the people on the other end were friendly and helpful. Forget Klienfeld's - Check this place out!

The store in overall is great. Few issues I ran into, but stay on top of them and it will be all worth it. My worst experience was with the tailor in trying to alter the dress. They gave me the worst time as the lady that worked on my dress barely spoke English and didn't cooperate with me. As per ordering the dress, the process was nice and smooth. Joe is the person that worked with me in finding the right dress. She is the best bridal sales person. But in the end it all worked out okay.

I found my perfect dress at RK Bridal. I had a great sales associate who understood what style I was looking for, she was great! i had no problems with the alterations department, luckily though I didn't need much done. But each time I went I found them to be great! The only problem I had with RK was with a rude girl at the front desk who when I attempted to pick up my sisters bridesmaid dress told me that she had already picked it up, which clearly wasn't the case. After a rude confrontation the friendly UPS guy who overheard actually did a bit of research to discover they had actually shipped the dress to my sister. Crisis averted but this girl was the only problem I had with RK. Great dress at a great value!

I read the reviews of RK and was mindful of the "not fancy" idea I had read about. So I got there early on a Saturday and 40 minutes later, was paying for my dream dress. It's not a lavish, free champagne type of bridal boutique but it had everything I needed. You can only try on 7 dresses per visit, you must go prepared with dresses you want to try on, but all of this worked fine for me. I narrowed it down to two choices, only one of which would be in on time for my wedding (the more expensive one), and the alterations were $350 which I thought was a little high. But it included a 'try-on' appointment and three fittings. The dress came in early and the seamstress was very attentive and knowledgeable. I would recommend RK, to people who are ok not being waited on hand and foot while shopping, and who have narrowed down the choices and don't need to try on a million options.

Overall, I had a great experience here. I got my dream wedding dress for almost 50% retail if I was to purchase it from the designer. You don't come here for the ambiance, you come here because you've found the dress you want and you want it discounted. They were great!

The alterations dept. is really hard to get on the phone and I had some issues with the alterations but overall they have a great selection and the woman who helped me pick out my dress made me feel like a princess!

I really enjoyed my experience at RK bridal, but my first recommendation would be to take a random weekday off of work and go since they don't take appointments. There was no one in the store and my consultant was so enthusiastic, Cheryl. I went in there prepared with a list of dresses I like, which is my second recommendation, however from that list she got a feel for my style and picked out two dresses I hadn't even thought about. But in the end there was a clear winner in the two she chose and I could not have been happier :) People told me the dress looked like it was specially made for me and it was only $1300! My seamstress does $10,000 wedding dresses regularly and said this was the most beautiful dress she had ever seen. Go to RK, save a bundle, and look like a million bucks!

RK Bridal has the dress of your dreams! Okay I don’t know that for sure, but it had mine! I went to RK Bridal during a marathon weekend of wedding dress shopping. The store made me feel instantly at ease. Not only did they have a seemingly limitless variety of dresses, they allowed me space to look through them without breathing down my back. After a number of suffocating experiences at other stores, I simply cannot overemphasize how much this meant to me. But as it ironically turned out, I never would have found “the one” (my dress, not my husband – although he’s great too), without the help of RK Bridal’s knowledgeable and friendly consultant, Jo. As I thumbed through the dresses, I repeated the same mantra in my head that I repeated to my parents hours earlier: I want lace, straight, and something simple. Then Jo, after handing me several dresses that satisfied my criteria, politely asked if she could offer a few of her own suggestions based on my appearance. And I’ll never forget the moment that she handed me my future wedding gown. Was it straight? Nope. Was it simple? Not even close. Was it dramatic, form-fitting, and mermaid, with a sash covered in bling? You betcha! But most important, was it perfect? There’s no doubt in my mind. And I owe it all to Jo. Jo helped me feel like a movie star on my big day. She helped me receive a ridiculous amount of compliments (compliments which, in my humble opinion, went well beyond the mere obligatory bride compliments). And she helped me stand out in every picture and video clip. So, thank you RK Bridal for having such a great dress selection and laid back atmosphere. And thank you even more for hiring Jo! The cost of my dress was great. My consult was wonderful and helped find me the perfect dress. However they ordered the wrong dress and the re-order was very close to not making it in time for any fittings and I planned almost a year in advance. Most of the apologies came from my consult not the owners.

I went to RK Bridal because they carried the dress I wanted to try on. I was overwhelmed at first by how many dresses they had there, yet super excited at the same time because it was my first dress shopping trip and I couldn't wait to dive in. My consultant was Gilda and she was Awesome! I showed her the picture of the styles I was looking for, and specifically the one dress I really wanted to try on. She got right to work pulling those dresses for me. When the one I thought I wanted looked horrible on, and I was bummed out, but she kept bringing me dresses until I was completely confident that the dress I was trying on was the one for me. She didn't try to rush me, she wasn't fake in anyway, she didn't try to pressure me to buy that day with some promotional sale that was only going to end that day like some other bridal salons, (I wont mention names but you know who you are). She was so professional. She wound up finding me my dress, and I was amazed at how inexpensive it was for the quality of the dress. I definitely recommend going to RK Bridal if you want great quality for a low price tag. Be the first in line when they open the doors(they don't take appointments), and ask for Gilda!

I almost didnt make it into RK Bridal. i was a little overwhelmed with the crowd. I went there for my bridal and since we had so long to wait I decided to try on wedding dresses. Wow I could not believe my luck when he first dress I tried on was the magic dress and much less than I was willing to pay. Dont let the chaos in the place fool you. They are very organized and I never had an issue with fittings, or picking up my dress. I was extremely happy with the value I received. My future sister in law bought her dress their too!

I got my dress and bridesmaids dresses at RK. I was a little put off at first because it was so crowded and it really felt like a warehouse. However, the variety was incredible and I found a slew of dresses from the designer I was looking for. My dress was altered perfectly too!

Aisha was my consultant. The dress I ended up getting was the 76th dress I tried on (not all in one day). I knew what I wanted but I just couldn't find it at that point. Aisha managed to make it appear just when I was about to give up hope. She was great too because she was more concerned about me being happy with the dress than the commission associated with the sale.

The good: They were convenient since they have inhouse tailots and stock many designers. The bad: It is a nightmare trying to get service. It is mayhem in there!

I went in with pictures and item numbers for the eight of so dresses that I knew RK carried. Although the woman helping me was in her seventies and I had to help look for the dresses, I had no expectation of having a "Kleinfeld" experience. I just wanted to figure out which one of the dresses looked best on me. I got an amazingly beautiful dress for $770. I guarantee that it would have cost $1,000+ (perhaps even $2,000 at Kleinfeld). Go here if you are on a budget and aren't silly enough to let Cinderella fantasies of getting pampered allow you to overpay for the same dress you can get down the street.

I found my dream dress here, there was no way around it. RK Bridal is a bridal warehouse though... We originally went on a weekend because of course, that is when my sister and mother had off of work to visit the city where I was living for the weekend. RK Bridal was our first stop of day two after visiting many beautiful boutiques where the average dress cost about $4/5000, yet they were all calm, friendly, charming beautiful little places the day before. RK Bridal is the opposite. We arrived just after opening on a Sunday morning, the lady at the front door asked what we were shopping for, we responded wedding gowns and she instructed us to go to the back of store, write our name at the bottom of the list. While we were waiting we were to pick out 5 and only 5 (it may have been 6, it was a long time ago...) dresses while we wait for our turn and place them on this specific rack. We fought our way through the crowds, wrote my name down on the very bottom of one of the longest lists I've even seen, struggled to pick out dress for about an hour, then waited... and waited... and waited... total it was about 2 1/2 hours from the moment we arrived until it was my turn and I got called into a dressing room with my personal consultant. Because it was a weekend though and the place was a mad house, I wouldn't really call it a "personal" consultant. Anywho, we tried on the dresses I had and she ran out and got a few more for me to try on after seeing my personal style. What she brought back wasn't too impressive, she kept leaning towards poofy and sparkly which I had said no thanks to, but fortunately one dress that we had picked out was awesome and just lept out and kept on our minds. Unfortunately they didn't allow pictures to be taken though, not so cool. After a few weeks of looking more I decided that i wanted to go back and look at the dress again so this time I made an appointment for first thing on a Tuesday morning, that was the right thing to do! The difference between a weekday morning and a weekend is night and day! This visit was much more relaxed and personal, I tried on a few more dresses but we chose the original one that we had gone back for. The dress needed to be shipped from Italy but arrived surprisingly early. We didn't get alterations on site because at this point I had moved upstate and wanted something closer so I just walked in one weekday to make my final payment and walk home with it. Definitely check out RK Bridal if you're in NYC, just do not go on a weekend unless you have the entire day and about 5 cups of coffee to power you through! they have a very wide selection, hundreds and hundreds of dresses with just as wide of a variety of prices.

If you are not looking to spend more than $2,000 on your wedding dress, you have to stop by RK Bridal. They have the moer incredible collection of reasonably priced wedding dresses in the city. While you won't be sipping champagne in your private viewing area, I think it's the dress that matter more than the shopping experience, so save some money while finding the dress of your dreams!

I had the perfect dress for my wedding. The staff was so helpful with helping my find my dress and with all my dress fittings. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a bridal dress.

When I entered RK Bridal the first time, I did not know what was in store for me. I was paired with bridal consultant, Sheryl. Her professionalism, knowledge,confidence as well as her eye for style and fashion did not disappoint me. She helped me find my wedding dress without worry or breaking a sweat. The dress I ended up with was one in a million. Very unique and sophisticated. I also got my bridesmaid dresses from RK Bridal. I found my bridesmaid dresses with the help of Sheryl in addition to the staff in the Bridesmaid department. The dresses were beautiful and complimented my wedding dress flawlessly. The were able to send dresses to Bridesmaids across the country without any delays. I also got the Mother's of the Brides dress from RK Bridal. The staff in the bridesmaids section are very helpful. I visited RK Bridal many times and ultimately ended up knowing every one in bridal, bridesmaid as well as the fitting departments. I was always greeted with a smile and helped until I was satisfied. The seamstress staff at RK Bridal are very professional and very detail orientated. My dress fit perfectly. I go back every so often to see everyone who helped me. I am eternally greatful for all the help getting all my bridal needs taken care of at RK Bridal.

They have alot of dresses that are more economically priced than other stores. If you're not sure what you're looking for, you should come here because they have all different style selections. I thought the alterations were a bit pricey for what they had to do to my dress but the work was very professional. I love my dress.

I had just moved away from NYC, but was in town visiting when I found the perfect dress at RK Bridal. I'd tried on dresses at a couple of stores in NY and Austin, TX already, but hadn't found anything I loved for the price I wanted to pay. My first steps into RK Bridal were a little bit overwhelming, but I soon realized they have a system for being helped & my bridal consultant, Gilda, patiently walked me through the store, guiding me to the best dresses for my build, style, and price range. The whole process after getting the dress was totally painless. The dress came in the mail, nicely packaged and earlier than expected. The size estimate was perfect - I only needed to get the dress hemmed locally. I recommend visiting their store on a day/time when they're not too busy so you can get the individual attention that I got.

RK literally had EVERYTHING I needed, which made planning my wedding in 6 months pretty easy. I got my dress there, veil (they special ordered it for me) headpiece, shoes, bridesmaids and maid of honor dresses, unity candles, guest book, and bridesmaid's jewelry. I really had fun dress shopping there, because you can browse around as long as you want, rather than waiting for someone to bring dresses to you. Just bring at least two friends since the dresses are heavy. I spent so much time in there, I got to know the people who work there, and they are all really very nice and do their best to help even though they are extremely busy all the time. Patience is required because of how busy the store is, you do often have to wait in lines to get service, but it's worth it, because the selection of dresses is great, prices are good and you can get everything in one place. I did feel their flower girl dresses and mothers dresses were too pricey and went elsewhere for those things. I really appreciated RK for going out of their way to special order my veil quickly, and the jewelry for my bridesmaids. Initially, I had some stress with the alterations of my dress at RK, a bit of a communication problem with the seamstress, but the alterations manager is really amazing and cares about making you happy with your dress, so she squeezed me in to their busy schedule to have 2 last minute fittings to make the final alterations I needed, and my dress was perfect in the end.

I found a top quality dress for a fraction of the price and I couldn't be happier. However be aware that this is not a boutique that will give you champagne and fruit, this is a little rougher around the edges. During the week you will need to arrive before 5:30pm to ensure that your name is on a list so that you can meet with a wedding consultant and try on dresses. Saturdays are insanely busy so plan to arrive early however, you can't be the prices. They are not flexible about alterations or bridemaids orders but they are very upfront about it so there are no hidden surprises. If you decide to go with them, once you have purchased your wedding gown the alteration process goes very smoothly and they are extremely nice about making sure your dress fit is perfect.

I ordered my bridesmaids dresses threw RK Bridal. The price was $50 cheaper then I would order threw House of Brides. I received my dresses 2 weeks early. The dress were so much better in person then on the net. My BM's loved there dresses. I would highly recommend RK Bridal to any bride for her wedding party.

Loved loved loved RK. I didn't want to be pushed into a dress i wasn't crazy about. I didn't want someone trying to put a tiara and gloves on me. This was the experience i had in most bridal shops. RK was the last place I visited. And it was great. I told them exactly was i was looking for, the girl pulled like 10 dresses for me to try. And if i said i didn't like it, it was on to the next dress, no questions asked. Definitely a NO FRILLS place. If you want to be waited on and pampered. DO NOT COME HERE! Alterations were great. My dress fit like a glove!

I ordered my dress from RK Bridal through the No Frills Program and could not have made a better decision. I shopped around Miami, FL to find a dress that was more than just "ok". I found a dress that I liked enough but it was $1,00 through a local shop. I liked it, but couldn't justify paying that price for something I'd wear once. I called RK Bridal later that day out of curiosity and at the recommendation of other brides. Not only did they carry the dress but they told me it would cost $609 shipped! My order came in a little earlier than I expected but with plenty of time to spare. Every time I called to verify the shipping address or delivery status, they were professional and courteous. I just wanted someone to sell me a dress I liked at a price I could come to terms with without talking me into 20 things I didn't need or want.. without being made to feel poor. Thank you RK Bridal for your wonderful service and I will continue to recommend you to all future brides looking for a bargain!

Some of my girls used RK for their Bridal Gowns. We always seemed to be there during high peak hours so the service some times took longer then anticipated. Their price was the best around for the gown , but it did not include alterations. they did an as is plan. I would definitely use them again. they had tons of options and plenty of styles.

This place was like the Bridal gown Mecca.... I had search all over and 4 Davids Bridals.When my friend and i walked in the lights for the heavens shined down and angels sang. My dress was to die for beautiful and the price was perfect.

I really had a great experience dealing with RK. The bridal store my sisters used went out of business and I really didn't want to run around to a ton of stores. When I was advised to try RK bridal I gave it a try and I was extremely pleased. The women were very helpful without being pushy. I thought I wanted a certain look but ended up with a different style that looked better on me. The price wasn't crazy and my appointments were stress free. I recommend them to anyone getting married.

I spent a fraction of what the average bride spends on her dress and received endless compliments. RK Bridal has beautiful dresses minus the high end boutique feel and cost. For the bride who cares about how she looks and not what she pays or who she's wearing RK Bridal is the place for you! :)

i ordered the dress online through the no frills program. as i sent my mesaurements for the hollow to hem, the staff asked me to make sure that was the right measurement since im short and it seemed short. the delivery was exactly as they had projected and everything went very smoothly. my dress also came with a free blue garter!

I went to countless bridal shops for the perfect dress. I actually didn't find my actual dress at RK Bridal, but I liked the service there and the professionalism there the best, so I ordered it from them after I tried it on at another shop. The dress was perfect and the alterations team was great. If you go on a Saturday make sure you get there early because they don't take appointments. Going during the week is the best time to go. But even on the busiest of days the staff is friendly and professional. You never feel pressured. If you are looking for a wedding dress in NYC RK Bridal is a must!

My dress came out absolutely beautiful, but I had to take it elsewhere because it was so difficult to be in the store. Also, the button for my bustle came off an I had to carry my train the whole night.

Great dresses for great value. You get one on one service, you just have to wait in line for it.

RK Bridal did a wonderful job with the dresses for my bridesmaids and my mom. Sandy was great in helping my mom and bridesmaids find dresses for my big day. I highly recommend RK Bridal. They also have wonderful wedding gowns at reasonable prices. Unfortunately, I did not find the gown of my dreams there, but if you're on a tight budget, I recommend them for wedding gown shopping as well. You're not going to get the personalized attention as say in Kleinfelds, but you'll have a great gown at a great price.

I just love RK Bridal. I have four friends who have now purchased their dress from this store because of their quality of service, profressionalism, and value. I had a smaller budget for my dress ($1,500-$2,000) and upon my arrival to the store I was matched with my own personal consultant to help me find the dress of my dreams. Not only was I my consultant's only assigned customer for the time I was there, but she was solely focused on me finding exactly what I wanted. I gave her a description, she pulled some dresses, and voila! The first dress I tried on was the one I bought. I placed my order in May and got my dress in August (so you need to give them some leeway time for the dress to be made, altered, and shipped if need be). My recommendation is to arrive at this store early to get matched with a consultant as they are on a first come first serve basis.

I got my dress, veil, bridesmaid dresses and flower girl dresses from RK Bridal. And I was very please with all of them. It's a little overwhelming at first when you go in there, with so many dresses on the racks. But the dresses are all sorted by designer, so they are easy to locate. The staff is very helpful. You don't need an appointment you just sign up the day off and they take you first come first serve (so it's best to go early). I also got my wedding gown altered there and it came out great. I plan to bring my gown back there to get it cleaned and preserved.

They had a great selection of dresses and no pressure. I would not recommend their tailoring department at all, your just a number not a person.

What you lose in personal attention you gain in selection and a discounted price- all bridesmaid dresses need alterations anyway if you want them to fit right, so we went with the discounted option where you measure yourself and get your own alterations. Found a gorgeous, unique dresses for all three girls (2 different versions for regular and jr. bridesmaids), came in ahead of schedule. My one complaint is they didn't have the swatch for the overlay material (just the main satin color), kept telling us they'd ordered it, but it never came in, so we took a chance on it and it was beautiful.

I went to a few different places to try on dresses and none of them matched the service, selection, and value for cost like R&K. It may not be as fancy as some of the ateliers out there, but I highly recommend any bride consider shopping here! You won't regret it.

We ordered our bridesmaids dresses through RK Bridal's 'no frills' program. The dresses arrived on time and were in good shape. I wouldn't have done this but I knew someone else who did and had a good experience so for the savings (much cheaper than the same dress other places we looked) we went for it. You do need to find your own place for alterations which is inconvenient and until the dresses were in hand we were a bit nervous since the ordering process had a little miscommunication but everything worked out.

I had wonderful service when I went to RK bridal my last 2-3 visits working with Joanne to find my wedding gown. I will admit the visits before that, when I had another consultant, were NOT as pleasant. JoJo definitely made my experience there rank at the top for service, and there are other consultant there who are just as great! It can depend on who you end up with! Responsiveness - JoJo was very attentive and helpful to have me find the gown that felt perfect for me. She would not let me settle even if I got tired of looking and was ready to give up! I found my perfect dress with her help! Professionalism, they are a very professional business and definitely straight to the point. You will not find any frills here...but you won't pay for frills either. You'll pay for your amazing dress and that's all. Not a bad deal if you ask me! Value for cost - I think they offer a great value for you to walk in and buy a $1200 gown for so much less!! Definitely high value for cost! Again, if you are a person who loves to be spoiled with service, this may be a hit or miss for you. Definitely worth a trip to find out though! Flexibility - they are not very flexible and have set hours and rules to stick to because of the large volume of customers. There are set try on times, if it's busy, you will be limited to the # of dresses you can try on, but if it's not busy...they will work with you! I must have tried over 20 dresses in less than 3 days....but I went off peak hours! Once you purchase your gown, you MUST book all your alterations immediately. Alterations are only done during business hours and NO weekends, so it can be difficult if you work F/T but, each alteration appointment can be 30 minutes or less. I would definitely recommend RK Bridal and especially JoJo!! She is great!

I used RK for my wedding dress, my mother's dress and all my 12 bridemaid dresses. They were wonderful to work with and my dress looked amazing!!! And everything looked more expensive than we actually paid. Great place to get a reasonably priced wedding dress!!!

The Good: no matter who are you are or what your style is this place has the dress you're looking for! There are SO MANY choices and all different price ranges. You are definitely going to find a beautiful dress here for a really good price. The Bad: If you're looking to be pampered and treated like a bride this is NOT the place for you. The service is usually unfriendly, there is no personalization and the seamtress I worked with was rude and uncaring. If you have a great tailor go ahead and use him or her!! Josephine was the third person I worked with and she was FABULOUS, so if you do go and try and get her to help you, she was AMAZING!!!

This store is perfect for walk in brides. Do not come on a weekend. So crowded. This place is no nonsense and you get the best price. However, their alterations department is not good in my opinion. The dress fit perfectly and then 1 week after the first fitting, I have tons of back rolls coming out the back.

I hadn?t planned on shopping at RK Bridal for my dress but after feeling like we wasted the day with a horrific experience at The Bridal Garden, we stopped in just to see what it was about. One consultant really stood while watching her work with other brides, two different brides each in perfect dresses! When it was my turn, I showed her a picture of a ?dream dress? I was dead set on, she probably could guess I?d be a tough sale as I made it no secret I had an appointment to see this dress the next day. Even still, we had an immediate connection, it?s clear Sheryl truly loves what she does and it shows in her work. Sheryl ?sized me up? right away; I could see the wheels churning as she methodically brought in dresses from her well commanded inventory. She chose the order of the dresses for me to try on and I have no doubt she knew exactly what she was doing. My mother and I were taken by the first dress before she even clipped me in! We went out to the mirrors and Sheryl had me walk to see how the dress flowed and hugged in all the right places; then she topped off the look with the most perfect veil. We tried on about 15 more dresses, even though Sheryl knew that first dress was the one, she had all the patients in the world while encouraging me to consider some others and knowing when we tried on something that just wouldn?t work too. There were two dresses I would have been very happy with; one about half the price as the other, both great values but it was clear to us the first dress was THE dress. I highly suggest paying Sheryl a visit at RK Bridal. Her cheerful personality is infectious, her taste second to none; and it seems she has an innate ability to style a bride My experience with Sheryl at RK Bridal was first class and I?d recommend her to my closest friends and family!

My dress was gorgeous and under $1000 including alterations. The place can be crowded and the hours are sorta weird - but - they have so many dresses and you can try on in way more sizes than at most stores. Their consultants are really great - mine - Aisha - picked out my dress based on watching what I liked and disliked about some others and it was absolutely perfect. Alterations came out good but I did have to fight for changes when they thought the dress fit me well enough. After the changes they agreed I was right. It's like everything when you do a wedding - nobody cares as much as you do. Even so - I would recommend this place a million percent. If you go on weekends get there super early to avoid the crowd. Best bet - play hooky and go on weekday if you can. Good luck, Brides!

Great service and great value!

For dress prices, RK Bridal was the lowest. It beat a wedding boutique by $600 for my wedding gown. The tailoring was comparatively expensive. Alterations was a flat fee (however, adding bra cups as well as removing puffy cap sleeves was extra). Each time I went for a tailoring appointment, I had to wait 20-30 minutes before entering the fitting room. At RK Bridal, they do not make you feel special, as other wedding boutiques usually do, but I guess for the price, I can't really complain.

They were great! Prices were great! I am recommending this place to every bride possible! The prices are OUT OF THIS WORLD without sacrificing quality! Their dresses are significantly lower in price than other stores! and they have a price match program! I recommend buying your dress and your bridal party dresses from them!

I had a bit of a mixed experience with RK-their selection is wonderful. I found the dress of my dreams and the salesgirl was very nice. Unfortunately, she told me the wrong color for my dress so it arrived in the wrong color! I was heartbroken and they tried to put up a fight when I told them of the misunderstanding. Luckily, the manager had a heart and got MY dress (in the right color) in a very timely fashion. So, all in all it was a good experience.

I went in with the goal of getting my gown and I couldn't have been happier with the final product. Everyone there was very helpful and very patient with all of my questions. It was a positive experience and I wouldn't hesitate to refer them to anyone.

I was not pleased with any of the dresses I found in other stores until I walked into RK Bridal. The girl who helped me (i don't remember her name) listened to my needs as far as style and price range, and got me exactly the kind of dresses I wanted. And of course, the first dress I tried on, I fell in love with it. That was the first time I felt that after months of trying on dresses. It was a beautiful dress for a price that fits my budget. At the wedding, people couldn't stop raving about my dress. I recommend RK Bridal for any bride who is looking for a beautiful dress for not a crazy price.

I was pretty happy with RK Bridal I just had one issue, and I think it is a common one with them. When I went to my first fitting, granted I was running late, but the lady had yelled at me saying that don't I know how busy they are, and then continued to tell me what i was allowed to do and not do at my fitting! I was upset, with only that part of my experience. When I did go to the store with my MOH to try on dresses I was very happy we got to walk around and look at the different dresses, and then our cousultant, Olga, was very helpful. I actually ended up picking the very first dress I had tried on. Seriously you could not beat the price! When I went to my seamstress, she told me that if she had made my dress it would have been in the area of $2000 and up! I was shocked and really happy that mine was no were near that amount!

I bought the bridesmaids' dresses at RK Bridal. You have to wait in line for the fitting rooms and there is usually only one sample of each style, but they have a large selection of color samples and designers. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They allow you to look at all of the style books and color swatches at your own leisure, unlike some other store that make you pick out a dress before they will show you swatches. They measure for an extra fee, i think, otherwise you have to send in forms with the sizes of your bridesmaids, etc. I went first on a weekend and it was crazy. I waited for a few hours to find one sample dress that I had seen online, but it never showed up. I went back on a weekday and the place was great - empty, organized, etc. One woman who worked at RK spend a huge amount of time with me showing me all types of dresses and giving me advice. Overall they did a great job.

You have to know what you are getting into - amazing bargains, especially if you have an idea of what you want before, but you have to have patience. It's no frills for sure, but I went a weekday morning and got great service. I went back three times before deciding what I wanted. And I paid half of what I saw my dress for elsewhere. I had read bad reviews on their alterations, so went elsewhere for that. We got bridesmaid dresses here too, on their no-frills policy and since everyone was scattered through the country, it was also a great option. If you want to see a million things without pressure, a very good option.

RK was the first and last place I went to try on wedding dresses. I'd advise going on a weekday as soon as the store opens -- I really think that's what guaranteed the amount of attention and service I got. I went with my mother in law and my grandmother in law, and I ended up buying the 7th or 8th dress I tried on. Gilda, my attendant, was incredibly helpful and gave lots of good advice that only someone who has been in the business of selling dresses for a long time can give. I found the perfect dress for me, payed less than I expected to for it, and received it when they said i would. My mother in law also found her dress there in the same afternoon! It is a no b-s kind of place -- they don't offer champagne and there is no mood lighting -- but for a wide selection at good prices, RK can't be beat. I did not get my alterations done here so I cannot speak to that.

No frills. In and out - by the books. Very well run establishment, if you are ok with the No Frills. Great experience.

RK Bridal is excellent for selection and value. I got a very nice destination-type wedding dress for $300. Because it was a simple dress, they let me pay the bridesmaid rate for alterations which was only $65. So really it was such a deal. It arrived a week ahead of when they said it would. The consultant when I was first trying on dresses was very nice and patient - she treated me well and was willing to spend lots of time with me even though I was on a tight budget. I did go mid-afternoon on a weekday - that helps a lot to get more attention because weekends and evenings the salespeople are so busy. The one problem I had was during the alterations process, my dress kept getting shuttled back and forth between the bridal and bridesmaid sections of the store since they were confused by the fact that it was a bridal dress but being altered like a bridesmaid dress. Every time I went in, it took them a while to find the dress, which was slightly nerve-wracking. However, I appreciated the savings and had a very good experience with them. I also like that you can walk in and try on dresses with no appointment (if you get there early enough and sign up to wait for an available consultant, but during weekdays there's often no wait). They have dresses at a wide range of prices. If you are trying to get an inexpensive dress, or if you are feeling a little overwhelmed by the whole bridal industry, my experience is that RK Bridal was much, much better than David's Bridal or any other option I found in terms of selection and service.

I bought my wedding dress at RK Bridal after shopping all over NYC and Texas, where my parents live. I found my dress in Texas but bought it at RK because it was $300 cheaper. The alterations department is a tight ship where you are quickly in and out but it works efficiently and very effectively. I even had to take my dress back in because it didn't fit right after three fittings and they quickly fixed it for me. The dresses are not Vera Wang quality but still beautiful and affordable. If you don't mind searching through all the racks, it is by far the best selection in Manhattan and I still really enjoyed the experience.

I have mixed feelings about RK. I loved gilda, my bridal consultant. in the end, I loved my dress. however, the alterations were difficult and they were not that accomodating. Gilda made suggestions about what to do with my train, yet I did not know that it would cost an extra $150 to do anything to the train. Granted, I did not ask. So I chose to not do that. The alterations turned out well, however, the bustle was not secure and my bridal attendant had to sew it. I would definitely recommend them for dresses, and possibly for alterations.

I bought my wedding dress and Bridesmaids dress at RK, as well as having alterations done at RK. The price of the dresses was great but the alterations were not good. While the quality of the sewing was ok almost every seamstress who worked with me spoke very poor english (to the point were one bilingual girl at the desk had to translate to the seamstress that the dress was too big and needed to be made smaller at the waist). As a result of the communication problem my train was cut before I had seen its new length, the chest area was made so small that I had to remove the cups that they had sewn into the bust so that I could breath, the waist was still a little too big, and the french bussel which I had specifically asked not to have was sewn into the dress. They also ordered my dress one size too big so that I had to have the entire dress altered and told me that the large strange folds of fabric that had appeared in the skirt after the bust and waist alterations had been made would go away after pressing. This was not true. Luckily I decided to try my dress on a few days before my wedding to make sure that the folds were pressed out and had enough time to take the dress to a seamstress in Virginia (near my wedding location), who removed about 7 inches of fabric from each side (additional cost of $120). In addition to this I had to have the dress repressed ($50) because the bag that it was stored in was too small so they safty pinned the train to the hanger. This resulted in the train being stretched out of shape. I really really regret not just purchasing no frills and finding a different alterations store. It probably would have saved me over $300.

I ended up buying the second dress I tried on at RK bridal. I tried on a 10, and it was a little tight, so I assumed I would need to order a 12. When I went to check out, they measured me and insisted that I needed a 14. I went with it because I assumed they knew what they were doing, and when my dress arrived (IN TEXAS) a few months later, it was HUGE. I ended up paying over $150 for all the alterations, most of which could have been saved if they had ordered the size that I wanted and obviously needed. Moral of the story- If you think you know what size you need, go with it.

My dress was beautiful it fit well. Cost is great cant be beat. Service is ok the seamstress is wonderful the counter help is ok.

RK Bridal sold reasonably priced dresses and had a large selection. Try to avoid going there on the weekend, it can become overwhelming with lots of people. Go there with patience to look through several racks. The women who helped me were very kind and took their time.

Aspects I liked: The selection is amazing (even overwhelming) and they definitely have a dress for all body types. I went a couple of times before landing on a dress and both consultants I had were helpful and very honest. Once your consultant understands which silhouette you like, she will find numerous options for you (and doesn't rush you in your decision making process). This place is definitely less stuffy than other bridal boutiques and will work with your budget. Aspects I disliked: Most of the samples (gowns and veils) are very worn and slightly filthy, but they are only for the showroom floor (still a little bit of a turn off). Also, I wasn't completely pleased with the alterations. There were threads hanging from multiple hem areas and it was $300 on top of the price of the dress. They also didn't explain how to put up the bustle, so the day of the wedding I had like 5 girl friends all trying to figure it out with me :) My advice: go during the week or right when they open on the weekends. This place gets SO busy and crazy on Saturday afternoon.

I found a dress that i was in love with by La Sposa at another store. RK was able to order it for half off. While there was a no thrills approach, the savings is worth it

I would recommend RK Bridal based on selection, price, alterations, and timeliness. Their dresses range from $300 to $5000 and gaurantee to beat any competitor’s price by 5%. They list their inventory on their website and are very upfront about timing, if and how a dress can be customized, what alterations are included and what alterations are extra. It is definitely not the most glamorous bridal salon and the woman who did my alterations had limited English skills. But everything came out beautifully and for a great price. They don't take appointments to try on dresses (appointments are only for fittings), so my advice would be to visit during a non-peak time during the week and to write a list ahead of time of which specific dresses you want to try on (manufacturer, style #, collection year).

I was very happy with my experience at RK Bridal. I went during the week and arrived in the morning as soon as it opened. The consultant I worked with was very helpful and knew their large stock well. They have tons of dresses in every style and price range. My Mom and I picked out 5 dresses and then based on what I liked and didn't like, the consultant brought in more dresses. She ended up suggesting the one I bought, and she was great about staying in my defined price range. I definitely did not feel pampered but the consultant gave me her full attention while I was there and was very helpful. I did my fittings at a separate tailor so I can't comment on their alterations. The dress that arrived was beautiful and exactly what I ordered.

We got our flower girl dresses here and really liked the affordability and the lack of pretense. We also liked the fact that we were able to freely browse the selection and then look at books for sash colors/pricing options/etc. The dresses came out great - right on time and in the right sizes for the girls ranging in age from 2 to 8 yrs old.

This company had the cheapest prices around for my bridesmaid dresses. They also always were available via phone to answer every single question I had (which was a lot). The dresses arrived BEFORE the promised arrival date. Very easy to work with!

Picture a better organized Running of the Brides. Get there early, as the appointments are first come, first served. It can be a little overwhelming, so I'd say bring a friend or two to help you. You sign up on a sheet, and while you're waiting, pull dresses from the racks and reserve them on a rack tied together with fabric scraps. They carry every kind of gown you can imagine. Good deals, if you're willing to do a little work. If you want to be pampered like a princess, go elsewhere. This place is perfect for the DIY bride.

This store was a god send. They have every designer and dress style you could think of. As long as you do your homework before you go and know the style and designer you like, this store is a dream. I found a $10,000 dress for $1,000!

Excellent service for offering a No Frills Policy that runs as smoothly as this company has. I ordered a Marisa gown, was given the approximate rush date and it arrived as on schedule, no issues, no packaging issues, none whatsoever. I had questions about my dress color and my calls were received and answered promptly outside of store hours. 100% recommend.

When I was choosing my dress at RK Bridal, my salesgirl was great, very nice and helpful. The selection was very good too and I found exactly what I wanted. The way the she made the bustle in the back was just beautiful! It was perfect. The problems started after the dress came in. They would not accommodate me with my fitting appointments. They would not schedule them early morning or late evening. I had to take a day off for each fitting. Also, alterations that they said would not be a problem BEFORE I bought the dress became impossible to do AFTER I bought the dress. The worst part was that they could not repeat the bustle that the salesgirl showed me and they could not find my salesgirl. The seamstress was not helpful at all! There selection is good but the they need some work on their customer service.

I bought my dress from RK Bridal in NYC. This is a really great place…it is huge, and they have pretty much every dress you see in all the wedding magazines. The dresses are organized by designer. All of the straight (ie, not large and poofy) dresses are pulled away separately from the other dresses, which was great for me because I wanted something not so princess-like. You don’t have to make an appointment, you just sign up on a sheet when you arrive. You pick out five or six dresses, and your attendant (who helps you try on the dresses) will pick out a few more based on your picks and your body type, etc. It can get hectic on the weekends, but my attendant was really fun and didn’t rush me at all. And, most importantly, they have lots of dresses that are reasonably priced! My dress was under $700. Don’t even bother with the website, though, it is awful.

Great place to find the dress that you're looking for at a price you can afford. Brides, don't pass up the clearance section! There are plenty of dresses in various sizes that you can buy as is.... at a fraction of the cost.

This is a warehouse for wedding dresses. I bought my dress here and I loved my dress. I was lucky to find someone who helped me find my dress but because the place is so big, I felt the people who worked there really didn't care. I know, women can be nuts over a wedding dress but we become even crazier when we aren't being helped! I do like the fact that I can look around without being harassed. I would go here if you aren't looking for someone to guide you. If you know what you want, you can most certainly get it here! I waited so long to buy my dress, I only had a few weeks to find one. RK Bridal did help me find a dress and had it shipped within 1- week, which was great; and cheap, but beautiful!!! I didn't get my dress altered here because I heard their alteration department is spotty. Good luck!

RK Bridal was a good experience. I went on weeknights to try on dresses and I was able to get great customer service. I worked with Nicole who pulled dresses based on the criteria I gave her. I ended up purchasing the 1st dress she recommended. The dress came in earlier then they told me which was great. I decided to do alterations with them as well. I had the bodice taken in, hem and a bustle put in and was charged the max price for alterations. I had 2 fittings which went well but on the third there were some problems at the top of my bodice. After 2.5 hours of them trying to fix it (it was to be my final fitting) it was decided I would have to come back another day so they would have the needed time to fix it. In the end the dress was perfect and the bustle held fine, but thank goodness I had the time to absorb that extra fitting. I would perhaps recommend giving them a bogus wedding date a week in advance to make sure there are no problems. Overall though I would highly recommend RK Bridal.

Not such a great experience. Yes there are a billion dresses however I think it is a good starting point but not the place to buy your dress even if the price is good. Positives: huge selection, one stop shopping and price. Negatives: A bunch of other girls getting alterations at the same time so you just wind up checking them out thinking you look gross in comparision and there is just nothing bridal about. The worst were my alterations. My seamstress did not speak English and I could not communicate with her. Someone else mentioned it but you really do need someone to go with you because you need an advocate. Someone to tell the seamstress you know what you are talking about. My alterations were wrong and you can tell in my photos. So many of my photos are useless because I am hanging out of one side of my dress.

Great for brides on a budget. Person helped me find a beautiful dress in my price range. The owner, however, was not so helpful and made me feel very uncomfortable when fitting me (not in a sexual way but in a rough way), and I've had many costume fittings for my to compare to. Also, do bring a friend you trust to fittings etc. If it weren't for two of my friends I'd be wearing a dress to long and big in the bust. My seamstress did a great job in the end but I felt like I had to convince her of what I wanted.

I went to RK first since I knew they had a huge selection, and I wanted to find the type of dress I was going to be looking for - and see what the pricing would be - before going to a Kleinfeld's sample sale the next day. My associate (who has since moved away) was instrumental in picking out dresses that I liked (it was so tough to see what anything would look like in those plastic bags!). When I told her it was my first time trying on a wedding dress, and I had no idea if the 5 I picked were right, she had me show her photos of dresses that I had with me. She then brought in 5 dresses that were similar to the ones I had clipped out, and the 2nd one I tried on was the one I bought (although it took me 4 stores & 2 more days to do it!). I also altered my dress there and had an amazing seamstress. They are such a well oiled machine there that, even if you have to wait a while for an appointment (DON'T go on a holiday or a weekend if you can help it!) it's a great experience. The only frustration we had with them was they forgot to leave my dress bustled! At the final fitting I confirmed that I wanted to keep the dress bustled for the entire wedding, and asked them to steam it and put it in the bag that way. Of course, I picked it up and didn't check! We discovered it wasn't bustled 10 min before I wanted to put it on and had a mini-freakout (since the dress was already going to be bustled my Mom didn't learn how to do it!). Thankfully my experienced bridesbabes came to the rescue. Still, a top notch experience.

I bought a beautiful dress from this vendor. They have a very large selection of dresses from many different designers. They did a very good job with the alterations. I was pleased with everything.

It's definitely not one of those salon that would pamper you. But they really have a great selection, especially if you don't want to spend a fortune but yet get a really nice dress. You would definitely pay less because of the less service. But I was completely fine with it because I just want a great dress at a great price and I don't care about the "over-the-top" service. I was a little overwhelmed when I first went there but if you know what you are looking for already, that is not a good place to go. But I would not go there for the first gown shopping trip. The alteration service was just ok for me. They did somehow screwed up but they fixed it eventually.

I love Rk bridal. They were very helpful with me in finding my wedding dress. Because I am plus size I thought it would be hard but, not at all. By the time I tried on the 4th dress I knew that it was the one. The price was very reasonable... You can find everything there. I love RK bridal.

I loved my dress, it was beautiful and the price was exactly what I was hoping for. RK Bridal was very professional but not flexible AT ALL when I had to schedule my fittings. They gave me times and I had to oblige whether I could make it or not. The dress was tailored very well, and when it was completed, it was easy to just walk in and grab it, but it would have been a better experience for me if I could have more of a choice of times to try it one for the fittings as I live in CT pretty far from NYC and had to take time from work to make sure I got the fittings all in.

Take your time looking around and choose five dresses before you sign up. I bought my shoes, Veil, slip etc etc at a reasonable price.

This is definitely the place to get the dress you want for less. They have thousands of dresses for cheaper then if you go into a boutique. The ladies are very nice but the place is very busy especially for fittings so you have to be very flexible but its worth it. They also have bridesmaid dresses, shoes, jewelry, veils, headpieces and mother of the bride dresses.

RK bridal is a very messy and disorganized place. Not a very pleasant shopping experience. Their dresses are not such great quality. You're better off going to David's Bridal if you want something inexpensive.

If you can't find anything here...then you shoukd just have your dress personally made to order to yur specific design. They have a huge selection of wedding dresses and all are priced well. Olga was my sales person and she was EXTREMELY nice! Please look for her and you'll be glad you did!

My dress was exquisite! I ordered through RK Bridal's no Hassle program, and no hassle indeed. They price matched the lowest competitor and beat it by 5%, plus free shipping and no tax. My gown came in perfect condition and I would wear it every day if I could.

When I first walked into the store, I was blown away by how many dresses they had on the racks. I was free to browse as much as I wanted and choose the dresses I wanted to try on, which is a rarity for a bridal salon. After I chose the style I wanted, a salesperson assisted me in finding similar dresses in my price range. The price of the dress I ended up getting was much cheaper here than anywhere else I had looked. After ordering my dress, it came into the store around 5 months later. I was pleased with the fittings and alterations done. At the wedding, a piece of the lace completely ripped off the dress, but I don't know if that was due to alteration error or if I stepped on it, to be honest. Overall, I was satisfied with my experience and would use them again. I also bought my tiara from them. They also have a huge selection of Bridesmaid dresses and evening gowns. A word of warning-get there EARLY because it gets very crowded and you will have to wait to try on or get fitted.

Wedding dress shopping is hectic, and this mecca follows suit, BUT you benefit from all the designs under one roof and from the no-frills approach. I found my dream dress, which was a bit different than what is featured in all of the magazines (although they have all of those as well). The price was less than $1,000 and the dress was perfect. My biggest complaint is that I had the dress delivered rush and they did not call me when the dress came in. In fact, I was in the store looking for headpieces and thought I'd check for my dress on the way out... that's how I found out my dress arrived. Same thing happened with my headpiece. Good news is that pieces come in ahead of schedule.

Their prices can NOT be beat. It was so easy to order with them and my dress came in perfect condition and arrived early. I recommend shopping around other places for the best price (shop online) then contacting them last because they will beat the lowest price by 5%. My dress came with the bag and a blue garter which I was not expecting. Great customer service too!

We bought my dress, my mom's dress, and the bridesmaids dresses here. The people were amazing and so was the value. (MY dress was about $900 less here than in boutiques.) My dress came with no problem. The fittings were done there and were fairly simple. I wasn't thrilled with the final fit of the top of the dress, but I must have been happy enough because I didn't do anything about it. I loved the people and especially the owner, Candy. One saleperson saw me there and recognized me. She told me about a sale that was happening the next day because she remembered my mo and what dresses she was interested in. Those were going to be on sale and my mom came in the next day and got a BEAUTIFUL dress for half price. Next, the bridesmaid dress factory had a fire and RK did all kinds of extra work to get them to me in time. (They were already late and were supposed to be shipped to NY. Candy took all the info and shipped each one overnight to each person. When one didn't make it, she followed up and everything worked out in time!) I would go there again....as a matter of fact, my mother has already gone back for another dress for my brother's wedding.

I fell in love with a Marisa dress after months of dress shopping. My dress was priced at over $2000 at a well-known NY Bridal shop so I was a bit discouraged. However, I found out about RK bridal and they receive very positive reviews on theknot.com so I decided to check them out. My sister lives in NYC so while on a trip there, I stopped by their store near the port authority to make sure that I still loved/wanted the dress. When I returned home, I ordered the dress through RK bridal's "No Frills" ordering system. They do a price match program and beat the best price by 5%. My $2000 dress only cost $850 there!!! It arrived way before they said it would and in perfect condition. Everyone was very helpful when I called last minute to change my dress color from Ivory to white. I had such a great experience with them that when it came time to order my bridesmaids dresses, I used RK again. The girls' dresses (Watters and Watters) normally cost around $250-300 and we got them for $173 each including shipping. I highly recommend them!

I had a good experience here and found my dream dress for a great cost...but I have several friends who have also gotten their dresses here and had less-than-ideal experiences. I would still recommend them, since their selection and value is great, but be prepared that you might have some issues with their service.

I thought I had hit the jackpot when I found this company. If you want a designer dress for less then designer price..go to RK Bridal! I live in Illinois so I couldn't try on my dress but thankfully everything fit perfect! I was very nervous at first about ordering my dress through there website but found that the dress was exactly how I'd seen it in other bridal shops and it came in only a few weeks (even though the website said 2-3 months).

I LOVED the dress that I got from RK Bridal. I did not have my alterations done through them. But the only reason I didn't give them all 5 stars is because I had to schedule a time to pick up the dress. Doesn't sound like a big deal, but I usually work until 6, and you could not pick up your dress after 4:30 in the afternoon. All of the weekend slots were taken for like a month, and the earliest time I could even get a 4:00 appointment was like 2 weeks after the dress came in. ANNOYING!!! Other than that, everything was great.

This is an overwhelming place to start, but it also means that there are alot of choices, so you are bound to find something you LOVE! I loved my dress. I purchased it and had it altered here and have no complaints. My biggest suggestion is to go mid day during the week. It is not very crowded and you get more one on one service. Another plus is they have hundreds of bridesmaid dresses in all styles and colors.

Had to reserve a time to pick up the dress weeks after the dress came in. Wouldn't let me just pick it up without trying it on, but was a hassle to find a time that wasn't booked. Dress came in early and was beautiful though

RK Bridal is the place to get your wedding gown. Not only do they have the best prices in the tri-state area, but they have a huge selection as well. I got my wedding gown and my bridesmaids' dresses from this place. They offer two prices for each dress. One is a very very low price, but you take the dress as is. This means that you are responsible for measuring yourself and providing them with the size you want to order. The dresses are non-returnable so you better make sure you order the right size. The second price is decent, but it includes them sizing you up and providing what size would be best. They also do tailoring, but I skipped that because I personally knew a tailor who can provide me those services.

I shopped at David's Bridal in Paramus and Wayne, Group USA in Secaucus, and Bridal's by Roma in Clifton before I went to RK Bridal. I was looking for something in the $500-$600 range, so Bridal's by Roma was right out (as I recall, they started at $1200 and went up from there). RK Bridal had far and away the most variety, more than twice the selection of either David's or Group USA, maybe four times as much. The store is very big. The shopping experience is somewhat more impersonal than at David's, more on a par with Group USA. An attendant opens a dressing room for you at your appointed time, but picking out gowns to try on is up to you. Better bring a friend -- wedding gowns are heavy. You're allowed to bring up to six into the dressing room, I think. The attendant helps you put them on. I worked with Gilda; she was sweet and had good advice. The store has shoes and bras for you to borrow. No photos are allowed until you put money down on the gown. My main reason for choosing this store was because of their selection. I wasn't entirely happy with the gowns at the other stores. Service provided was satisfactory, nothing exceptional, but I had no problem with them. Because I live far away, I wasn't able to use RK Bridal's alteration service, so I have no opinion on that. Incidentally, I ended up with Casablanca style #1831, for about $700 including tax.

If you are looking for the sit-down, only person in the store, champagne experience then this is not the dress store for you. If you are looking for a designer gown at a fraction of the price, and are willing to share the store, mirrors and sales associates with other brides then you should definitely add RK Bridal to your list. I arrived early, and avoided a wait. I also had the full, undivided attention of my sales associate. When I was unsure, I was not pressured, just kindly asked if I would return to her if I came back for the gown. Sure enough, after searching Manhattan for a better gown I returned. The store was considerably more crowded at this point, but my sales associate did not make me wait and I was back in the gown in minutes. Both purchases (dress and vail) arrived via UPS not a day sooner than expected. All in all, it was a seamless experience!

The bridesmaids dresses were ordered from this store. Large selection of dresses from various designers. They offer a "No Frills" option meaning you can order dresses from the store without having to get alterations done by them. Plus, the dresses are at a discounted price in comparison to privately owned bridal salons. They also offer a price match service and ship all over the country. The transaction was very smooth and fast. The dresses arrived one month ahead of schedule!

I know lots of girls are overwhelmed by RK, but they are fantastic. You just have to go in knowing what to expect. If you're looking to be wined and dined, then definitely go elsewhere. If you want an enormous selection of dresses at amazing prices, then RK is the place to go. The sales girls are so sweet and helpful - I really had a great experience there. I would however, not recommend RK for your alterations. My seamstress was very sweet, but spoke VERY little English and really didn't understand what I wanted. To make matters worse, my bustle broke less than 5 minutes into the reception (and yes, it was a tie bustle, not hooks). I understand that wedding dresses are heavy, and when a guest steps on your bustle it's bound to come undone, but every single tie ripped off almost immediately - that should definitely not happen.

I bought my dress through their price-matching program. I had originally found it at an online retailer for cheaper and not only did they match their price, they beat it by 5%. The only downside to this was that I had to find my own seamstress to do alterations, but my mother-in-law did that for me. The quality of the service was fantastic; the dress came in in perfect condition and even a couple of weeks earlier than expected. I recommend RK Bridal to all my fellow brides!

RK Bridal is a great place for a NYC bride to look for different designer dresses in one location. The prices are great and it was nice to have a dressing room attendant dedicated while I was there trying on different gowns.

Beautiful gown for the price.

I ordered my bridesmaids' dresses from RK Bridal in New York City. It's worth a visit if you're within a four hour radius--at least a thousand gowns, and you pick five, and then wait in line to try them on. The customer service feels a little bizarre, and I think how you are treated there depends a lot on which seamstress or worker you happen to be talking to. I'm not sure how RK is for buying wedding dresses, or for paying full price (which would include alterations, I think), but I ordered 6 bridesmaids dresses at the "discount rate" and it worked like this: I got all my girls' measurements, submitted them to RK with the complete payment plus shipping, and then one day the arrived in the mail to my house (three hours from NYC) in pristine condition. The girls all took them to their local seamstresses and everyone was happy--plus they got a $200 dress for about $125 (plus shipping and rush order fees). I'm not sure what would have happened if something had gone wrong, since it's such a big and busy store, and it seems like I would have gotten lost in the shuffle if I needed anything out of the ordinary. But, nothing did go wrong, the dresses (belsoie) were beautiful, and I think I had a wider selection to pick from than I would have had anywhere else on the eastern seaboard. Which made it take three months to pick a dress, but that's another story. . .

We had the bridesmaid dresses ordered from RK bridal. The dresses were originally $300+ and we were able to get them from RK bridal for $170. The dresses came perfect (all 12). the colors were right one and the sizes were as ordered. The only thing is that they do not do the alterations there, however that is not problem at all....alterations can be done even at david's bridal.

The dress I found was the cheapest around there compared to smaller bridal shops but the down fall was the poor alteration experience and lack of detail or concern to make my dress fit perfectly.

If you want tons and tons of selection in every price range, this is the place to go! Beware that this is not a place that will cater to you for an unlimited amount of time. Come in, seek out several dresses you are interested in, and sign up to get waited on. One of the women who have worked there for decades will help find more dresses in your particular style and help you try them on until you find "the one." I definitely found my dress there in the perfect price range. I agree with other posts that state how the flexibility of coming in to get fitted for the dress is a problem. I am from Pennsylvania and I'm a teacher - traveling to New York when the store told me to do so was difficult and frustrating. I was not pleased with their work on alterations; I ended up having a professional tailor fix a mistake that their seamstresses made in my hem. But for finding that perfect dress, I do have to say this was a great place to go and the salespeople definitely know what they are doing. I also found a pretty headpiece here that I thought was a great value.
