Robin is fabulous to work for from beginning to end - from talking through the packages and planning to the whole day-of experience and then delivery of the images and final products, it was an awesome experience. She is the consummate professional and has a wonderfully artistic vision. She captured our day in a way that was beyond what we had hoped - from the setting to the portraits, ceremony and details and reception, it was all very personal and beautifully executed. Robin watches the interactions between people and is there for the shot before it happens, and you can really see it in the moments she caught and the way she frames images. Our ceremony was particularly tough to shoot because it was in direct sunlight; Robin somehow made it work and the photos were gorgeously lit. There is beautiful diversity in the images - they are funny, tender, inspiring, joyful - like the day itself. Robin also puts people at ease, communicates well and is ninja-like in her ability to get to the right spot for the shot without being noticed. Hiring Robin was the first decision we made when planning our wedding - we hired her as soon as we had a date set. Right away, we could tell Robin was going to be easy to work with and fun, which were two very important things for us since we were planning a "destination elopement." Her work is beautiful, and we are so happy with the final images. Our photos look natural, spontaneous, and uncontrived. Robin captured so many great moments! The images truly document the day, and people have commented that they look like they should be in a magazine. What impressed us most about Robin was that she gladly ran around the city with us to multiple locations, with a great attitude and high energy until the very last minute. Since we didn't have a bridal party, we wanted to go to several spots that are special to us. We had made contact with other photographers who tried to talk us out of certain aspects of our plans, telling us that multiple locations were too difficult. Robin immediately was on board, and helped us to make everything we wanted to do work! Although there is no rating system on here for "personality," we would give Robin 5 stars there too, and this fact really made our day go smoothly.

The most important thing my now husband and I wanted were great photos that capture our wedding day. I was randomly looking at wedding websites and chanced upon Robin's website. The photos she had taken for others' weddings truly captured the wonderful emotions of the occasions. We wanted that and we got that and more for our wedding. From the start, Robin was very professional yet friendly. She was very prompt with everything and anticipated our needs before we even knew them. She guided us throughout and it was one less stress about wedding planning. We were very confident that she would deliver outstanding and beautiful work; the photos she took for us were beyond our expectations! We got married on a cold and rainy winter day and just after a couple of snowstorm. I was worried that we would not be able to get any nice outdoor photos. Best. Photographer. Ever. #1 Talent: When I sent the link of highlight photos out to friends and family, the response was overwhelming. I can't tell you how many times people said "Wow, it looks like a magazine spread!" or "These are THE BEST pictures I have ever seen!" One of our groomsman--who is also a photographer--was thoroughly impressed and had started following Robin's blog even before our pictures came out. If you don't know much about photography, send Robin's site/blog to a friend who does and I'm sure they'll help you understand just how good she is. We are totally in love with our wedding photos. They are very high-quality and I would submit them to wedding photog contest! #2 Professionalism: Robin was always courteous and responded quickly to every question we had -- before we booked her, during the process, and well after the wedding. She was on time. She was fun. She was helpful with other aspects of our wedding too (like sending us reccomendations of places to go during our honeymoon.) I was barely aware that there was a camera following us on the day of the wedding. We didn't just pick Robin because of her amazing talent, we also picked her because she made the process easy. There were so many other vendors we did NOT pick because they couldn't bother to call us back or acted like they were doing us a favor. Also, Robin truly cares about her clients. Here's an example: Because I had a multi-cultural wedding, I wore two dresses. Most of our portraits/formal shots were done in Dress #1. We didn't have time for formal shots during the reception, when I was wearing Dress #2. At the end of reception, I mentioned to Robin it's too bad I ran late and couldn't fit in formal photos in Dress 2. She got halfway through the parking lot before turning around and coming back (after the party had ended) and pulling us aside for a few more shots. She said she didn't want me to have any regrets and snapped away. One of those photos is now hanging in our living room and we get compliments on it all the time. #3: Pricing: Not only does she have incredible talent (after all, she moonlights shooting celebrities!), but she doesn't charge celebrity prices. We received quotes from a few other photogs (1) who were not as talented charging 2x as much and (2) some who were talented, but charging also 2x as much. Our dilema was that our budget was very tight, but photography was among the top three things that were important to us. Robin was flexible with her packages and helped us select a combination of services that gave us what we needed and stayed within our strict budget. Robin is amazing and she has a great group of "2nd shooters" she works with who are equally talented, nice and professional.

Robin was everything I wanted in a wedding photographer and more! Our wedding photos were the one of the most important aspects of our wedding for my husband and I. We both love Robin's photojournalistic approach and the fact that she also made sure we got in some portraits that we just had to have. She has an impeccable eye and managed to capture the sweetest and quietest of moments, as well as every emotion we felt on our big day. Don't just trust me: our friends and family have been blown away as well, saying things like (and these are their exact words taken from emails to me) "These are unreal. I can literally feel the love radiating from the page. I think this just turned my bad day around! " (that was from someone who wasn't even there!) and "OMG LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE these pictures. started crying. they are seriously CRAZY AMAZING" and (later, from the same friend) "SO AMAZING. had to look at them again! and "These are fabulous! You both look gorgeous! The pictures and look like wedding pictures without looking like standard wedding pictures (does that even make sense!). I can't wait to see more." and "Fantastic pics" and "What gorgeous photos! She really captured so many special moments and expressions!!!" I promise you: if you hire Robin you will NOT be disappointed. Well, the only thing we're disappointed about is that all photos of us cannot be taken by Robin!

We can't say enough great things about Robin. I think her talent undoubtedly speaks for itself. However, here are a few specific things she did that really went above and beyond: - on our actual wedding day, she showed up early! And she didn't stare at her watch fixated on the exact number of minutes/hours. She was focused on photographing our wedding "day," and she definitely went the extra mile to do so; - at our final meeting, she walked us through the timeline and helped us get organized in terms of how much time we should allot for couple photos, bridal party photos, family photos, etc.; - she was very positive and never judgmental about anything we discussed (which I valued very much in Robin and all of our vendors); - she was flexible to discuss and create a package that suited our budget and needs; and - always always responsive to our questions. We've gotten all of our photos back, and without surprise, they are beautiful! I would whole-heartedly recommend Robin to anyone, and we feel especially grateful that she was able to photograph our wedding.

We did a lot of research on wedding photographers and finally decided to go with Robin. It was one of the best decisions we could have made. Anytime we had any questions before or after our wedding, she would respond to us right away. At the wedding, we barily even noticed she was there. She was so professional and friendly, it really help to make the day feel relax. After interviewing several photographers, our decision to hire Robin to photograph our wedding was probably among the easiest choices for us to make. From the initial emails to our first meeting and beyond, Robin was extremely flexible, very professional, and wonderfully easy to work with. During our engagement session, she made us feel very much at ease, which was important for people like my husband and I who aren't used to being photographed. And at our wedding, we hardly ever knew she was there, let alone that she was busy snapping photographs that were more beautiful and more breathtaking than we could have dreamed possible. Photography was one area where we wanted to hire the best, since it's the photographs that will last far longer than what's on the menu. Robin photographed our wedding on January 2, 2010 at St. Patrick's Old Cathedral in Nolita and the Soho Grand Hotel for reception. She was great to work with, and even found a 2nd photographer on short notice when I requested it. Her photos were amazing, exactly the style we were looking for, we love them! I would highly recommend her and also her 2nd photographer, Michelle Arlotta, who did a fantastic job as well. Robin has a great website, and she posted a preview of our photos to her blog immediately which we really appreciated because we could look at them on our honeymoon! We loved the whole experience, Robin is excellent.

As a professional makeup artist, i have worked with a few different photographers, but none have had as much talent, professionalism, enthusiasm, and passion as Robin. Her positive and easy-going attitude was a pleasure to work with and it was more like she was a member of the family than a vendor. She came highly recommended to me by one of my bridesmaids who is also a makeup artist and has worked on many projects with Robin. A fabulous Photographer was definitely something i did NOT want to skimp on especially considering these would be memories that would be locked in time through their work. And thats exactly what Robin did. She captured every moment from our special day, even the ones that i was too busy to even notice. For our formal Wedding album, she created the EXACT look and feel I so deeply desired, an editorial magazine layout without compromising our own style as a couple. Robin was absolutley fabulous. My pictures are gorgeous and I received everything so quickly! I could not have been any happier with a vendor. I have a bridal party of over 20 people and Robin was able to capture everything perfectly. I have some of the prints outs hanging up at my desk at work and people think that they are magazine photos!

During the day of my wedding Robin and her second photographer were easy and comfortable to work with and during the wedding itself they were very discrete and I forgot they were even there.
