Steve and Royal Strings are amazing! The music was so beautiful at the ceremony. I wish I could listen to the duo over and over again. You must book them if you want a perfect guitar violin duo!

We hired Royal Strings to play for our short ceremony and our cocktail hour because I really wanted some live music at our wedding. We never met with another musician after we met Steve from Royal Strings because we KNEW they were perfect for us. They were kind enough to learn 2 songs at my request for the ceremony and they sounded great! I would have to say that Royal Strings was the best decision we made for the wedding day because it's the vendor we received the most compliments about. Our guests are still raving about the ceremony & cocktail hour music. Specifically, I heard people compliment their renditions of "Sweet Child O Mine" and "Kashmir". I had friends ask for their business card because they want to hire them in the future. I actually cannot wait to have a reason to hire them again myself! This was money extremely well spent and I'm so so glad that we found them.

Thank you Steve even though I didn't really get to meet you in person. All our correspondence were through email. I was a little apprehensive at first especially since there were a couple of emails I didn't get a respond to right away. But, boy did Royal Strings delivered! I had several song requests not on their list and they were able to play them. Our garden ceremony could not have been as magical if Royal Strings were not there to play. Thank you again.

Hiring Royal Strings for our wedding (ceremony and cocktail music) was one of the best decisions we made during the planning process. The combination of the violin and acoustic guitar was beautiful and classy, but the music they played was SO much fun! They played everything from classical music before the ceremony to movie themes to classic rock and everything in between. Our guests were having a great time listening - it was so much fun to watch it "click" when they heard something unexpected (like Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" or the Game of Thrones theme song)! The music was truly incredible - and so personal! It really made our day special. I would recommend Steve and Royal Strings to anyone looking to have a classy but fun event.

I just got married on June 30, 2012. We got married in the gardens at the Tides Estate and we needed music. Royal Strings came highly recommended by a friend so I decided to give them a call. That was probably the best decided I ever made! After speaking with Steve we decided to book him for the ceremony and cocktail hour. The music was exceptional and everyone loved it! We got so many compliments about them. We had the traditional wedding songs but the cocktail hour was totally different. One friend was so excited that they were playing Metallica while the person sitting next to them was saying how beautiful the music sounded. I remember walking into my cocktail hour and them plating Journey- Stop Believing. It was such a pleasure having them at our wedding! Thanks Steve you two were great!!!!

Quality and well trained musicians. The live music during the ceremony was perfect. It was all about us, very thoughtful of our needs, the variety of cultural background of most of our VIP guest, and our taste. Steve did a great job as MC during the reception hours and used his experience to keep the dance floor hopping until the very last minutes of the reception. Even the most critical of my guests, who did not think that the music selection would be balanced had to concede that they had a good time. The kids never got off the dance floor, a party they will remember their entire lives, the night Auntie Daphne got married!!!!

I got so many compliments on the music provided by Royal Strings. They provided the music for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. In addition, they even act as emcees announcing you and the dances. We had a relaxed wedding brunch and the music really set the tone. They use a guitar and violin to arrange classics, Jewish songs, and modern music. Only with this duo could I have had guns n' roses, Metallica, the Beatles, and Moon River, while also keeping my Nana happy. Royal Strings was a breeze to work with. I checked off songs on their song list and then I came up with songs I wanted them to arrange and they did their best to accommodate that. Royal Strings was a good value and worth every penny. In fact, they could probably charge more and get it!

Steve and his partner were fabulous! Steve answered emails almost immediately and was very professional. He was able to accommodate all 3 of our special song requests without any problems. We decided to have them start early for 45 min before the ceremony started to keep our guests entertained and it was worth every penny!

I knew I wanted live ceremony music for the ceremony but had a hard time deciding if I wanted something more traditional...harps and violins or something a little different. I spent a long time searching through websites and reviews. Over these few months I always came back to Royal Strings. I loved the blend of violin and guitar. It was is so romantic and haunting. I married into a very musical family with tons of musicians...piano players and teachers, drummers, bass players, even a spectacular trumpet player and they ALL commented on the quality of sound and expertise of the Royal Strings duo. I can't wait to see my wedding video so I can appreciate everything I did not get a chance to hear. They even learned a song we wanted played during our pre-service. If you are considering live music for your ceremony definitely go with Royal Strings. They are truly talented and professional musicians that will put a special touch on your big day.

Royal Strings is an amazingly talented duo. They helped to make our wedding ceremony so incredibly special and unique. From start to finish working with Steve was effortless. He was always quick to answer questions and alleviate concerns. The hardest part was deciding on the song selection, as I don't think there's anything Royal Strings can't play. We went with a rock / pop mix for the pre-ceremony music, and I walked down the aisle to Here Comes the Sun. The recessional was Nirvana's Smells Like Teen Spirit, which sounded AMAZING on violin and guitar. Our guests were wowed, and Royal Strings set the tone for a fantastic event. We can't thank you enough!

I never got to actually meet Steve in person, we just exchanged emails and a couple phone calls and then on our big day we heard the music and were blown away. Steve is very responsive and can accomodate any special requests. We really didnt want the standard boring ceremony music. We wanted new contemporary music played on the violin and guitar that added a unique element to an already unique ceremony. We had people coming up to us all night at our wedding saying....was that Guns N Roses November Rain that played as you walked out of your ceremony!? Awesome! Yes indeed, it was. We were so pleased with Royal Strings performance and added a truly unique element to our big day. Thank you again!

Matt and I just got married on Sept 30, 2011. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Royal Strings! I used to be an event planner so I understand the importance of vendor-client relationships. Steve was fantastic from the start. He was extremely responsive, had many ideas, and was enthusiastic throughout the entire process. He covers such a wide range of songs. Royal Strings played for our ceremony and cocktail hour and our guests have commented over and over again how they ABSOLUTELY LOVED the music! The combination of violin and acoustic guitar is hauntingly beautiful, so moving....I had goosebumps walking down the aisle as they played Storybook Love from The Princess Bride. Steve even learned Firework by Katy Perry for us and played it at the end of our ceremony. I have recommended Royal Strings to other brides who have ended up hiring them and were thrilled with them! I cannot recommend them enough....now I must go plan an event just so that i can hire them again! Good luck, brides!

The ceremony music was an awesome addition to our daughter's wedding at Highlawn Pavilion...she chose Cannon in D to walk down the aisle with her Dad and Sweet Child of Mine...as they finished their vows. The guests AND the Pastor just LOVED it. While guests were arriving via shuttle and being seated outside..Royal Strings performed the entire time. Friends and family are still asking how I discovered them and how outstanding they were! What you hear on the website is only enhanced when surrounded by friends and family! I would recommend them for a special event any time!

I cannot say enough positive things about our experience with ROYAL STRINGS. I had contracted them for the Friday night event of a wedding in NYC. Hurricane Irene changed our plans and Friday night became the wedding, rather than the rehearsal dinner. ROYAL STRINGS quickly adapted to the change and provided fantastic music for the ceremony as well as the cocktail hour. Wonderful! Wonderful!

Royal Strings are/were phenomenal! The combination of a guitar and violin is just outstanding, and they can play absolutely anything. We wanted a lot of classic rock/pop before the ceremony rather than the typical classical music you hear and they delivered. But, my wife still wanted to come down the aisle to Canon in D, which sounded equally beautiful. Steve is very easy to work with, and extremely responsive. I would highly recommend them.

Royal Strings Duo performed flawlessly at our wedding. They accommodated our nonstandard wedding comfortably, were fine adapting to last minute changes and were very professional. Most importantly, they played phenomenally! We received many complements from our guests. They even added a few flourishes such as when the violinist danced with us (while playing). We had also requested that they play at a moderate volume while people were mingling and eating, and they did so wonderfully. Check out their song list - a very unique and interesting repertoire. Royal Strings is awesome! They played our ceremony at the church, and the cocktail hour. Not only were they reasonably priced and extremely friendly to deal with, they are extraordinarily talented musicians! I had asked them to learn a Coheed and Cambria song (my favorite band on earth) for our cocktail hour, and despite it being a difficult song to translate to violin and acoustic guitar, they nailed it and it was such a highlight of my day! This team is AMAZING!!! Steve and Boris are just incredible. I can't begin to tell you how many people approached me at the wedding and still now, a month later asking me where I found them and how incredible they sound. During cocktail hour, quite a few guests approached me and asked if I realize they are playing Metallica and Michael Jackson! Everyone was just amazed as were I and my Husband. We requested our first dance song by Lifehouse be played by them instead of our DJ, which they never played before, and did an amazing job. Royal Strings performed at our wedding ceremony on 6/27/2010. Steve was wonderful to work with and every song that I recommended or wanted played during the ceremony exceeded my expectations. They played so beautifully that there was not even a dry eye during the ceremony. They even played while the priest read the reading and it was magical. They were definitely one of my favorite vendors of the wedding day. Royal Strings is a guitarist and a violinist duo who make up for the lack in numbers with an amazing talent. Although I never even got a chance to meet them since they packed up right after the ceremony, they were wonderful to work with, from the first email til the wedding day. I asked them to play "Linus and Lucy" for our recessional music and it was soo sweet to hear it in a guitar/violin form! They really blew our minds. Professional, talented and affordable - how can you go wrong? Make sure to check out their website for samples.. this is what sold us! We never met them or heard them in person.. we just blindly went with them and we got way more than we expected.

He responded and said he would try to find the sheet music, but if he couldn't he would go to our back up song (All You Need Is Love - Beatles). Well, we were so excited when we heard Stolen being played as we kissed and made our way back down the aisle! Their sound was so unique and we loved having them play for us! After the ceremony, Steve came up to us to thank us for letting them be part of our day...what a nice gesture! They definitely were a great addition to the ceremony.
