Sandra's photography skills are just so amazing, words can barely describe how wonderful it is. Each photograph is a piece of art that is done in such a unique and beautiful way. Sandra has an incredible talent and an eye that captures every perfect moment. Our wedding is still over a year away, but Sandra and Jonah came to DC to shoot our engagment session. Even though we were rained out of our originial ideas, Sandra was quick on her feet to capture photos in unplanned places. It was fun, exciting, and had everyone's hearts racing. Sandra was able to give us directions on how to make our photos wonderful while still allowing us to just be ourselves and act natural. The photos really portray us as a couple and don't look posed and directed. We are so in love with all of the photos as are all of our family and friends. We have shared the blog with so many people who want Sandra to travel and shoot their family portraits, engagements, weddings, etc. I would highly reccomend her for anything. She is just FABULOUS and if you're looking for pictures that truly are worth a thousand words - Sandra is the one you're looking for. You will be pleased beyond any expectation you could have a photographer.

Everyone, everyone, everyone wants to know who my photographer was and how soon they can hire them. Sandra was absolutely amazing throughout the entire process. She knew all the things i would worry about, and exactly how to calm me down and make the pictures look perfect. I will treasure my engagement and photos for the rest of my life both because they remind me of wonderful moments and because they are amazing works of art! Picking the perfect photographer is such an important choice when planning your wedding and not for a single second could I have imagined working with anyone else. Sandra photographed our February NYC wedding and our engagement session. We really wanted our pictures to reflect how much we love New York and Sandra did an excellent job incorporating that theme into both our engagement session and wedding. She excellently combined creativity w/ cutting edge professional equipment to create a wonderful experience for us. One of the things that we found especially valuable was Sandra’s attention to what we wanted. There was no “cookie-cutter” aspect to this at all – it is truly a hands-on experience and Sandra takes great care to make sure the pictures had the unquantifiable “feel” that we wanted. We mentioned early on in one of our Q&A sessions that we had a dog and really considered him part of the family. She found a fun way to incorporate him in the engagement pictures in Central Park and they came out great. My biggest concern personally with respect to the wedding day was the logistics. We had a lot of ground to cover – the hotel; central park, grand central – all before the ceremony. Sandra and her assistant rode in the limo with us and quarterbacked the whole day with excellent efficiency. We wasted no time and any location, and once on the scene she truly made us feel it feel effortless for us. We barely got through the doors at Grand Central and she took over the whole floor; getting the bridal party placed, giving us instructions, and doing it all w/ a smile on her face. The rest of the day was more enjoyable than we could’ve imagined and many of our guests commented to us after the wedding that they were very impressed with Sandra. I would highly recommend Sandra for anyone who is looking for a photographer that will go above and beyond to make sure their day is as special as it should be.

Sandra is wonderful. She did a great job with both our engagement and our wedding photos. She also did an excellent job with our family portraits and the baby photos of my cousins. She is incredibly artistic and creative. Her photos are works of art. She is so friendly and helpful. Her sweet nature and quick wit make you feel at ease right away which allows her to capture you as naturally as possible. She does an incredible job of photographing the essence of each person and moment. We love her and will use her again in the future. If you are lukcy enough to have her photograph your special occasion the one thing you won't have to worry about is the outcome-her work is consistent and fantastic.

We recently had our engagement shoot with Sandra and we were 100% thrilled with the experience. Sandra came to the shoot prepared with tons of ideas for creative shots and was also completely open to incorporating our ideas for fun and unique shots. I got married in November 2010 which deems this review long overdue but I thought it necessary to express my true admiration and appreciation for the beautiful pictures that Sandra Reid was able to capture on the most important day of my life. I found Sandra on TheKnot.com while searching through photography vendors in the Boston area and was immediately drawn to her vintage/antique style of shooting that seemed romantic and ethereal. Though fairly new to the east coast as she had just moved across the country with her husband, I was convinced that she would add a fresh eye to an all-too-familiar town that had already been saturated with your cookie-cutter photographers. I was sold the day after meeting/speaking to her in person. Not only was she extremely friendly but she put in that added time and effort to understand us as a couple. How did we meet? How would you describe eachother using 5 adjectives? What's our sense of style - playful, classy, etc? She talked about her passion for photography with so much conviction that I knew I had made the right choice. Sandra photographed us for both our engagement shots as well as the day of the wedding. Because I could go on and on about why I loved working with Sandra, the output itself speaks louder than words. My wedding photos created a stir amongst my family/friends once they were posted - all positive reviews of course but hearing the cries of excitement from single women with no intentions of getting married to suddenly wanting to walk down the aisle after having seen my photos is extremely flattering. Thanks to my husband who already made me feel so very special but I have Sandra to thank for making me look like the beautiful bride that I always dreamed of being. All in all, Sandra Reid is professional, resourceful with feedback, quick with her photo delivery, and readily available for any ad hoc questions or concerns. Sandra was the best vendor in our suite of supporting vendors for our wedding. When we consider all of the suppliers/companies we interacted with for our wedding day, Sandra was truly better than everyone else. Her end product is truly amazing; we have received more complements on our wedding and engagement photos than we ever expected. Not only is Sandra a true artist and professional, she is very aware and focused on ensuring that our wedding day was special for the two of us. I have attended several weddings where the photographer does not blend into the wedding and it was very distracting. I found Sandra Reid at bridal fair amongst hundreds of vendors. Being an over-planner, I attended more than five bridal fairs and I must say I fell in love with Sandra's work immediately. Following all of the traditional advice, I met with two photographer vendors even though my mind was made up. My husband and I did an engagement session first and loved it. Sandra helped us warm up to the camera, learn to get great photos through our body language and helped us get ready for all the pictures on the big day. I also did a boudoir session with Sandra as a wedding gift and being a bit shy about my body, Sandra helped me find who I was without making me feel uncomfortable and I know have some great pictures that my husband and I will enjoy for a long time. I think communication is very important, especially when planning a wedding, and when I first left a message for Sandra to inquire about her packages she called me back within an hour.
