Gabriela Jeffery was our DJ from A Starry Night Music and she was outstanding! The bride and groom feel they had the "best wedding ever" and she was a HUGE part of that. She set the tone for a perfect evening with exactly the right mix of music, quiet time, volume, energy, and fun. Plus her delightful accent made everything sound better. One of our friends, who had two daughters get married in very elaborate weddings in Palm Beach and in Nantucket, said he didn't know why anyone would ever have a band when they could have a DJ like Gabriela. A Starry Night Music was a delight to deal with from beginning to end. Owner Carol was attentive, supportive, easy to contact and always approachable. We feel so very lucky that they were part of our wedding celebration.

Carol was outstanding!! She is very sweet, was always responsive, arrived promptly, and delivered exactly what I wanted - no cheesy dancing, no smoke/lights, just great dance music! I met with her a few months before my wedding, but didn't have a chance to finalize my songs until a few weeks before my wedding (it might have even been the week before). Nevertheless, Carol expertly mixed our wedding song (just the way I wanted it), played every song I asked her to, and did not play a single song I did not like. She was great at reading the crowd and delivered a great party. Thank you!

It took us a while to find the "right" DJ for us but once we met Carol it made our decision so easy! We loved her and she was a breeze to work with. Gabriela performed at our wedding on OCotber 12th at Studio 450 in NYC. From the moment I met her - 4 months before I knew that she would absolutely rock. She also has the coolest accent ever so she made everything sound so exotic :). Gabriela has all music possible. We had an indian wedding and the sitar music she had was everything I wanted for the ceremony. At the recpetion she really got the party started and played everything we could have ever wished for! She was so receptive to the crowd and everyone spent the whole night on the dance floor. I think thats a measure of success. Gabriela is awesome, shes so flexible (FYI She spent over an hour on the phone with me walking through the day and we went through everything she needed to know and she made such great suggestions for us to think about too). She also practiced everyones names with me so many times (indian names can be tricky) and she honestly has better pronounciation than I do. Another thing - the price. One of the lowest quotes i received and we got such exceptional service. Would recommend Gabriela to everyone - she is so lovely and treats everything so professionaly. If you hire her you know that she will get the party started and your guests will not want to leave

We booked Gabriela Jefries through Starry Night. She gave us paperwork in good time to give her our must play songs and suggestion list, and was very responsive when we emailed her. Two weeks before the wedding, my ceremony musician (a friend) backed out. Starry Night only books one event per day, so she easily added the additional hours to play our ceremony music as well. Everyone loved, loved, loved the music, and it reflected our tastes to a tee. I highly recommend A Starry Night. They are definitely worth the expense.

A Starry Night was a fantastic vendor. Our DJ was Gabriela Jeffery and she was wonderful. We initially met with Gabriela to talk with her and decide if she was the right DJ for us. She met us at a coffee shop near our house and we spent about an hour discussing aspects of our wedding we didn't even realize we should be thinking about. We explained to her our music preferences and she even had traditional Greek music which I wanted played for my family. She was extremely professional and helped us structure our reception. After spending about 5 minutes talking to her, we knew she was the person we wanted to play our wedding. We dealt with Carol for the contract and payment. Carol was great, everything was taken care of smoothly and professionally. When Gabriela actually played our wedding, it exceeded our expectations. The music she selected and played was perfect. It was tasteful--if you are looking for strobe lights and disco balls, then she is probably not the person for you. Gabriela paced the reception and truly was the most professional vendor we had. She was much more helpful that the hall coordinators. I owe her a debt of gratitude for making our wedding a magical night.

We recently used A Starry Night for our outdoor wedding. Carol was extremely responsive and easy to work with. We used Marla as our DJ, and she was absolutely fantastic! We wanted the 'no cheesy' wedding and that is exactly what we got. Marla played all the music we wanted and was able to get the guests up to dance when the time was right. She was perfect. We also booked a guitarist Paul Myers for our ceremony and cocktail hour. During cocktail hour he was observed standing around eating and had to be asked to sit back down and play. He was contracted for 2 hours, I think he could find time to eat after. Would not recommend him.

Gabriela did an incredible job as the DJ for our wedding in New York City. The dance floor was packed the whole night. She played all of our must play list and also played a good variety of songs for the younger and older crowd at the wedding. She and A Starry Night were completely professional, organized and extremely friendly. We highly recommend their services.

I've seen so many dj's at countless weddings and there are few that stand out. Gabriela of A Starry Night Music is one of them. She is not only one of the nicest, sweetest people I've ever met, but she is a perfectionist and the utmost professional at her craft. Carol did such a fabulous job at our wedding - we would recommend her to anyone! Throughout the entire day the music was just perfect, from our Hindu ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner and dancing. Carol worked with us in advance to hash out all the details, from what were must-play songs to which members of the wedding party should be announced and when, and even tiny details we wouldn't have thought of, like at which point in the first dance should guests be invited to join. She fulfilled all of our requests expertly and the combination of music she played kept all generations dancing the whole night long and made the party inclusive for all (which was important to us, since we were mixing Indian and Italian-American cultures and wanted everyone to feel at home). Our parents and all the guests - from our friends to cousins to aunts/uncles, even grandma! - are still raving about how great she was. We had SUCH a fabulous time and we were thrilled to see such a packed dance floor the entire night. :-) Carol is amazing, and we will recommend A Starry Night to everyone we know!

Carol, from A Starry Night, was our DJ for our wedding at the Olde Mill Inn. I could not have asked for a better experience. Carol is attentive, flexible, and creative. She is not cheesy like some other DJs (talking over music, in your face, etc.) She played exactly what we wanted and added in extra songs that fit just right! She had to be set-up in three locations (ceremony, cocktail hour, reception) and was able to do so without any problem or lag. She was able to find and play the exact song I wanted for my entrance. Carol also had great ideas regarding scheduling and making announcements during the evening. She is very detail-oriented and easily accessible to answer questions. She also gave us a great deal price-wise, and her services were worth every penny!! Highly recommended!

Gabriela was wonderful. She did a great job of tailoring the ceremony to our tastes, using a ton of the music we selected and suggesting some more that we loved. She really listened to us and I felt that she cared about making the night what we wanted. Also, there was no mention or occurrence of cheesy wedding music or annoying games that DJs sometimes include in weddings. All of the guests had a great time dancing, and the music she played during dinner was beautiful and appropriate. She was also very communicative and professional leading up to and during the event, and her prices are very reasonable. I can't recommend her enough!

A Starry Night did a fantastic job on our wedding. Carol, the owner, was very friendly and great to communicate with when we were in the planning phase and Michael, the DJ in charge of our evening was spectacular and very professional. We had a smaller wedding and didn't want to have a DJ who went overboard on the talking - Michael made announcements in a very smooth way - introduced those who had toasts (despite getting only a handwritten list from me during the cocktail hour), and played a fantastic blend of songs that we had requested in advance and other fitting music (the dance floor was happening, even though we only had 34 guests!). He also ensured the flow of the evening - introduced the cake cutting, first dance etc. I would happily recommend A Starry Night and Michael to anyone.

A good DJ can transform a good party into a great one. How lucky were we to find Carol Moore to be our DJ. A Starry Night Music was a pleasure to work with for our wedding. From our very first meeting with Gabriela Jeffery everything was great. She was very professional and receptive to what we wanted. She was very open to all of our ideas and understood what we wanted. During our reception she moved things along to keep us on track. She was able to "read the crowd" so well and played the right music at the right time. Gabriela was fantastic and it was so easy to work with her.

Words cannot describe what a wonderful DJ, professional human being the lovely Carol Moore is! Our wedding could not have been the same without her talent. She worked with us on the playlist weeks before the wedding and helped us organize the evening which went by incredibly smooth. Today when a song from our cocktail hour, or the wedding dinner comes up, my husband and I look at each other and smile, because it reminds us of our night, these songs, and most importantly the timing of the songs, became the soundtrack of our wedding! We could not decide on a song to cut the cake, so I instinctively told Carol to surprise me, she played a song that made me cry as I walked to our wedding cake. SHE'S THAT GOOD!! It was just that perfect. I have also gone to my share of weddings, and I wasn't fond of certain traditions, and once I spoke to Carol about them, she gave me excellent alternatives, that made our night even more special. Since we had our ceremony and cocktail hour at the same place back to back, Carol suggested that my husband and I should take our pictures beforehand, so that we could mingle and enjoy every single minute of our wedding. BEST ADVICE EVER! Having my husband see me for the first time as a bride alone, made it even more special, for we shared a beautiful moment in private, and the pictures came out just lovely because we weren't rushing! Her set up is also perfect, she's discreet and elegant, she knows that the night is about the bride and groom, so unlike many DJs that I have seen, she's not trying to get attention for herself by announcing something every 5 minutes or so. Just spectacular!! We also had a buffet at the wedding, and Carol quietly went from table to table to announce that the dinner was served instead of making an announcement over the microphone. Our guests are still talking about our wedding and how much fun they had! For my father-daughter dance, my father chose a song that his grandparents used to dance to [mind you my dad is 70!!] I thought is was a long shot, and yet somehow Carol got the song, a waltz from the late 30s, that made our photographer cry! She's superb, simple fantastic, classy, and wonderful! The very best!!!!!

Carol and her team are outstanding professionals, and were such a big part of creating a perfect day for us - Carol offers helpful suggestions throughout the entire planning and day of process, and works with you to gather insights and then fill in the blanks. This was so great considering we both work 60+ hours a week and did not have a wedding planner - there were things we wanted to influence but just didn't have the time - and Carol got us through it. Before our wedding with Belado, her guitar soloist, and during the wedding, Carol set the perfect tone and kept things moving in a fun, never-boring, but never rushed way - we continue to hear compliments about how fun things were. A Starry Night Music provided a wonderful experience for our wedding, from start to finish. They gave us world-class DJing and live music for a very reasonable price, and they made this important element of our event stress-free. I highly recommend them. Carol Moore was our DJ at the reception, and she also arranged instrumental music for our ceremony (the Joan Capra string ensemble) and cocktail hour (Beledo). Carol made planning the music for our wedding easy: she was always responsive, courteous, and patient with our many questions and ideas. Carol was a total professional. My husband and I never had to stress about the music, because we felt confident that Carol would take care of everything. Carol took our multicultural wedding music song requests and came up with a creative music playlist for our reception. At the wedding, Carol kept the reception running smoothly, and she spoke for just the right amount time, introducing speakers and dancers correctly. Carol's equipment was unobtrusive, which our photographer appreciated. Importantly for us, Carol, Beledo, and the musicians of the Joan Capra string ensemble were genuinely nice people that got along well with our guests and family, and we enjoyed having them be part of the wedding.

Carol from A Starry Night did an excellent job at our wedding! It was a fusion wedding (American & Indian) and she did a fantastic job weaving through our list of must-have songs, giving equal attention to both American and Indian music throughout the night – her expert skills made everything seamless. Our guest favorites were the mixed songs of the evening – a bhangra Thriller was priceless!!! Any song we requested, Carol had or easily obtained, no request was ever too esoteric! While she did a great job playing most of our “must-have” songs, there were a few missed ones, but this likely happens no matter who your DJ is, so make sure any song that you truly MUST have, you indicate as such. Carol also did an excellent job MCing the wedding, especially when my brother gave her a last minute CD containing mixed songs to which he wanted to perform! Nothing fazed her and she was so pleasant the entire evening. Her style is very under-stated and elegant, but still full of energy (rare in your run-of-the-mill Djs) which is exactly what we wanted. She always made sure the focus was on us throughout the night, not like many other DJs/MCs who like to hear themselves speak the whole night and are in your guests’ face, often forcing them to dance. Also, Carol has access to other instrumentalists. Carol arranged a harpist for our ceremony and cocktail hour. And not just any harpist, one that had played among the musicians at Chelsea Clinton’s wedding. Claudia played some lovely music on the harp for us. It was such a small addition, but added so much charm and romanticism to our ceremony. Our only criticism is that she ended our party a little abruptly. We knew it was going to end because we had chosen the last song, but our guests did not. Carol did not make an announcement saying this was going to be the last dance or anything. It came on, we danced, then the music stopped and she congratulated us and said the night had come to an end. It was an upbeat song too so our guests were definitely surprised. My husband went up to Carol to request some slow music as guests were leaving to make things flow a little better, which Carol immediately started, no problem. The ending of the night was a little bit of a disappointment, but overall, Carol was everything we had hoped she would be. Her unparalleled collection of music, laid back attitude and ability to go with the flow make her an excellent DJ/MC – she kept our dance floor packed and excited the entire night!!!

When we were looking for DJs, they seemed to fall into two camps: fist-pumping and forced participation, or music snobs who have their own "do not play" lists. So we were happy to find this company! They have several DJs - we used Carol, the owner, but we liked the fact that we could rely on one of her hand-picked colleagues if something happened. She made announcements, but she let the music do the motivating. No napkin-passing games or cake-cutting play-by-play, and she was happy to play a couple of "cheesy" songs that we liked (yes, there are some DJs who have an anti-"Love Shack" policy). The result - a sophisticated party that was still fun!

We couldn't have been happier with Gabriela! The dancefloor was packed all night. She had a real feel for our crowd. She played something for everyone so all of our guests felt like they were part of the party. But the music was just part of what Gabriela brought to our wedding. She helped us line up our bridal party for introductions and she answered pretty much anything we asked about what to expect on our big day. Her experience was really evident and it gave us BIG piece of mind! And she was fun to work with...very enthusiastic. We'd happily recommend Gabriela to anyone who's looking for a DJ for their wedding!

Gabriela is fantastic. She was easy to work with, gave great suggestions and was able to read our guests throughout the evening. Carol was a dream come true. I so did not want a guy with bad highlights & a shiny vest behind some obnoxious sign screaming at our guests and playing songs that make my head hurt. A Starry Night is the antithesis of that AND, even better, you don't lose the banging party. Carol DJed our wedding and people have not stopped commenting on how great the music was and how she did not waste any time in getting the party started. Carol knew instinctively the exact vibe I wanted and made it come true. As a former DJ and a (recovering) control freak, it felt so good to just not worry about the music piece, knowing it was safe in Carol's capable hands. Beledo played beautiful piano for our ceremony music and guitar during the cocktail hour, then Carol took over for the reception and it was all just perfect (even with a rocky transition or two that snuck in). I worked exclusively with Carol in planning the music piece of our event and it could not have gone more smoothly. She was so responsive, calming and caring. She was the vendor I really looked forward to calling or e-mailing. It was also great just having their positive, calming spirits involved for the planning and execution of the wedding.

This is a review for Joan Capra, violinist, who works with Carol Moore. My wedding was in the Conservatory Gardens, and was a small and intimiate affair. The gardens do not permit music except for strings. I decided to try a violinist for the elegance it would add to the event. And it worked well. I let Joan choose all the music except for the recessional, which I wanted to be 'our song' and she played that once I got the sheet music to her. I did not need a dj as we did not have a typical reception, so a violinist work perfect as it was all about the elegance. Joan and I had a few conversations beforehand and it was clear what I could expect. Joan was willing to work with whatever I needed. And it was apparent that on my wedding day the ambiance was just as important to her as it was to me. Thank you Joan!

Carol was great. We had a lot of trouble finding a DJ who we liked, because we had a slightly unusual reception (dancing was in a separate room and wasn't a priority to us, but we still wanted a DJ and not just music playing). We had a DJ flat out tell us that he didn't want to work at our wedding, and were delighted at how excited and enthusiastic and eager Carol was about our wedding plans, right from the first meeting!! I, like many brides, got a bit flustered and stressed pre-wedding, and my plans of carefully planning the music, including play and do not play lists, went out the window. But based on the sheets I filled out for her, she built great song lists that were just what I wanted, and included all of our "must play" songs perfectly. One of my guests told me that she played all of the music that they wanted at THEIR wedding last year. We had a specific list of pre ceremony songs we wanted, leading up the processional, and she mixed them together so they faded into each other, which was great, and then built the rest of the pre-ceremony music off of that playlist, so it flowed really well. Her system was wonderful, and the wireless mic we used for the ceremony picked everything up really well. Timing was really good, too, and she was flexible - I changed my processional song about three days before the wedding, after having it picked out for months, and I had meant to double check with her prior to the ceremony beginning to make sure it was good to go, but I didn't need to. Our wedding was a little unusual, because the reception was in three connected rooms, with guests sitting in two and dancing in a third. We also had a lot of interactive food (stations, cake buffet), so eating was a little more action based than it normally was, so we didn't get as much dancing as a normal wedding - maybe three or four songs of dancing after the cake cutting. BUT, we're not big dancers, our family and friends were too busy eating cake, so it wasn't a big deal. But what was impressive to me was how concerned Carol was that no one was dancing - which was completely NOT her fault, it's just that our guests are, well, people who would rather eat cake and drink a cup of coffee and talk to their aunt than hit the dance floor, especially if you had to walk there. She was genuinely concerned that we would be upset that no one was dancing, which I could care less about. We planned to get everyone on the dance floor for the song before the last dance, and then the last dance, and then it was over. So, basically, she was awesome. Her equipment was discrete and well placed, she has a wonderful voice for announcements, is very nice, very on top of everything and into details. She called me on Friday night because she couldn't find a specific version of a song we had requested, and was willing to get the CD overnighted to her so it could be at our wedding - thankfully, my husband simply had the MP3 and emailed it over to her. Most of all, she really does everything that she can to make sure that you have the perfect wedding. I would highly recommend her.

We used Gabriela Jeffrey from Starry Night Music as the DJ at our wedding and she was great. She played everything that we asked for. She also played some requests (but not all) and really had the crowd up and dancing at our day time wedding. She worked with the Father of the Bride on a song that he performed and it came out great. She did not make any intrusive announcements or do any "dance motivation." We were looking for great music without the usual obnoxious DJ interuptions and that is just what we got. Highly recommend Gabriela!

Carol was incredible, after one conversation with us she filled our wedding with the most best music we could have imagined, and found even hard-to-come-by recordings. She found wonderful music that spoke to our guests about who we are and what we wanted our wedding to be. Our family and friends noticed it because we are still receiving compliments about her. We cannot recommend her enough, or overstate how important she and Beledo were for the look and feel of our reception.

I had Carol as my DJ and her husband Beledo played the piano during my ceremony and the spanish guitar during cocktail hour. Carol was great to work with, she is a non-cheesy DJ who was very respectful of our playlist (and more importantly our do-not-play list!) She kept the party going and everyone had a great time!

Carol DJ'd our daytime wedding 3 weeks ago and was FANTASTIC from the first time I emailed her. She always got back to me immediately, or called to let me know when she would be able to talk in more detail. She took care of everything we asked for, she was fun and professional, complemented the ideas we came to her with for and offered suggestions in other departments. I had been worried that people might not dance as much since it was a daytime wedding, but, at several times during the day I looked out at the dance floor and couldn't believe how many of our guests were out there-even people who didn't know each other before that day were joining each other on the dance floor. She checked in with us during the reception to ensure that we were happy with everything, and the day was so much better because of her contributions. My husband and I keep saying we want to have another big party so we have an excuse to hire Carol again. I can't say enough good things about her.

My wife and I had the great fortune of having Carol Moore from A Starry Night as the DJ for our wedding; and from our initial meeting, up through our wedding day, Carol was a real pleasure to work with. She was very communicative throughout the process and allowed us to determine our song playlist, while offering valuable advice and suggestions, as well. Dan and I used Carol for our July 10th wedding and we were thrilled! From the first moment I contacted her at A Starry Night, I was so happy to find someone who listened and understood what we were looking for with our wedding music. We wanted someone who would play our music list and be able to make it work. (We are both somewhat picky with our music). And she really delivered! She always seemed to know instinctively what to play at every moment to rock the dance floor! The dance floor was packed all night! Also, she is really sweet and fun to work with throughout the whole process. Highly recommend!

Carol was AMAZING! She was everything we wanted for a wedding DJ - she is extremely professional, classy, and tasteful, but also knows how to keep people out on the dancefloor! We had a very random list of "must play" songs - running the spectrum from country music to hip hop and house, and Carol played everything we asked for, plus added in perfect songs that we hadn't thought of. We danced the entire night. Announcements were kept to a minimum, only the essentials, and were always elegant, keeping with the nature of the event, which is exactly what we wanted. We cannot say enough good things about our experience with this company - Carol was always responsive, always flexible, and just absolutely amazing.

We danced our feet off all night! Thank goodness we had baskets of flip flops for our guests because Carol rocked the house. One great song after the next. She was really so sweet to work with and super organized. And she was really patient with all of my last minute emails and phone calls with our last minute changes and song additions. Ten thumbs up!

Carol DJed our June 12, 2010 wedding in New York City and was absolutely fabulous! From the first phone consultation to our pre-wedding meetings and of course on the wedding day itself she was great to work and plan with. She bills herself as an "elegant" alternative to the usual cheesy wedding DJs and that is exactly what you get. She worked with us on a list of songs we wanted played but filled in the song selection at the wedding with other music that fit the style and mood we were going for. Her MC style was understated and non-obtrusive and she knew when to make the necessary announcements, when to amp up the "party" music, and when to slip in the slow songs. We also got fave reviews about her from guests at the wedding! We would recommend her to anyone getting married in New York City or its environs if you want great music and a smooth music planning process for your wedding!!!

We used DJ Carol for our cocktail hour and reception. We also booked the Joan Capra Duo for our ceremony through Starry Night. During the planning process, Carol was a pleasure to work with. She was willing to work with my budget which was a big plus. Due to the distance, we did not meet beforehand, but she was very professional and responsive and I felt that she really understood what my husband and I were looking for. We had a couple of miscommunications in the weeks leading up to the wedding, which Carol immediately took care of. These were short term stressors for me but in the long run were not a big deal. On the day of my wedding, Carol was punctual and ready to go. She conferred with the coordinator at my venue about the schedule for the day. This is where things got off track a bit. Apparently all three of us had different ideas of what was planned. It went off OK overall and I do not fault Carol for the timing being different from what I had in mind. That was an issue between me and the venue. However, I did feel that she seemed distracted at times, and I noticed her talking on her cell phone and even stepping outside to take calls. While she did play from our playlist, I felt that the timing of some of the songs was odd. For example, at least three of our slow songs were played in a row, and we did not have that many slow songs on our list. We had expected these to be mixed up more throughout the event. Overall, we were happy with Carol because she provided the "non-cheesy" DJing that we wanted and she played the music we requested.

We used Gabriella for our Ceremony & Reception DJ. She was simply amazing! For the ceremony she helped us choose the music and her recommendations were wonderful. Her timing was great and it was just the right volume. The reception was equally as great. I didn't want a cheesy dj who needed to be talking into the mic all night.. instead she read the crowd and knew exactly what to play to keep everyone on the dance floor. All of the generations danced all night! She was exactly what we had hoped for in our wedding DJ and we can't thank her enough!!

I was happy with the level of service and the overall music at our ceremony and reception. We had live music for our ceremony from A Starry Night, which was okay (there was one mistake with regards to the order of the songs but the guests did not notice); the DJ for our reception was great and had the folks on the dance floor the entire night. My only comment is during introductions there were a couple of errors (saying the full name of my dad but instead of my mom's name just says BrideName's Mom) and instead of the song we picked for introductions, there was some random song. The transition into the 1st dance was also a bit awkward. Now that being said, the rest of the night from there was fabulous and I'm probably being overcritical.

However, although the lady in charge at Guastavinos promised beforehand to give the signal for the correct change of music --before sending in the bridal party -- she gave absolutely no signal at all. She just sent the bridal party walking in. This caught us completely by surprise. We have to be notified at that moment in order change music to play the right song. Heads up, if you have your wedding at Guastavinos, let your musician / DJ know they may not be correctly cued by the venue before they send in the bridal party for their entrances.

We hired Dayana from A Starry Night to DJ our wedding reception, and we couldn't be happier. She is so classy, and made our evening very special. She met with us in person to discuss our music tastes, and she was able to set up music for our cocktail hour and dinner reception (they were on different floors) very smoothly. Awesome music. Best DJ. We loved Dayana!

We contacted A Starry Night because of their reviews. Once we met our DJ, we knew we found the right DJ. She was very friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable about music. She definitely knew how to read a crowd. She played a lot of the music that we requested as well as strictly adhering to our "Do Not Play" list. Just a side note, we wanted to play some Latin music and she was very comfortable with this (she's from Uruguay!). We also hired Beledo from A Starry Night to play during our cocktail hour and he was AMAZING!!! He played classics, modern and spanish music on his acoustic guitar, which set such a beautiful atmosphere for our cocktail hour. And just as an added plus, they did not charge for travelling to CT from NYC for our wedding!!! Although there are cheaper DJs out there, A Starry Night was really worth the price. There was absolutely no cheese that you would get from most other DJs! I highly recommend them!

I can not say enough about Carol and Beledo, my guests are still raving about them! Carol was extremely responsive and helpful in the months leading up to the wedding. I always felt comfortable emailing her with a question or when I needed music advice, she always answered my questions quickly and made wonderful suggestions! Carol was also our disc jockey for our reception while Beledo, Carol�s husband, performed during our ceremony and cocktail hour. I received many compliments about Beledo's performance � he was AMAZING, a truly talented guitarist! He created a wonderful ambiance, exactly what we imagined for our wedding day. Carol did an amazing job during our reception � her professionalism, talent and class was evident the entire evening. Although we considered giving her a playlist for the evening (something she was completely open to), we decided to give her a few suggestions and asked her to use her experience to determine what would get our guests on the dance floor. She did an amazing job � from Salsa, to Rock, Latin Freestyle to R&B, she played it all! I have already recommended Carol to a friend, and will continue to recommend Carol and her team, my experience with them was fantastic!

Carol did such an amazing job. She's so warm and creative - she made us feel like she really got us - and she did - as we built our playlist together. People were dancing every minute - every second at our wedding. Her husband Belado played guitar for our ceremony and worked with my aunt who sang - that was terrific - he played piano at our cocktail hour which we are told was terrific but we missed our whole cocktail hour taking pictures and stuff! Recommend this vendor a million percent!

Carol and her husband were just wonderful! We hired Carol because she does NOT play the cheezy stuff. NO line dances NO Shout - none of the WAY OVERPLAYED songs that you've heard at every wedding since the 80's. What we received was much more! We decided to hire Carol for the reception and her husband (a guitarist) for the cocktail reception. We received such great comments through the wedding and after about the music. People were on the dance floor ALL NIGHT! Even my 83 year old grandfater was dancing till the last song! The music is such an important part of any party. Carol certainly made our night!

Carol was phenomenal. Great to work with, listened to what we wanted, played great music. As promised, she only spoke to make announcements that we asked her to do. We actually extended the party by an hour because so many people were still on the dance floor. She traveled up to Poughkeepsie without any trouble. Completely worth it!

My DJ did such a great job. She payed attention to my play list and customized from there. The dance floor was packed the entire night. The wedding turned out just like I wanted - a fun party!

They were wonderful. Carol was very helpful, and very solicitous in wanting to figure out what we wanted and didn't want, as well as in picking out the dj who best "fit" what we wanted. Adam was awesome! He made no* announcements, no football music, and no strobe lights!! It was just elegant, and really personal; we felt like he understood exactly what we wanted. But by the end of the night, EVERYONE was dancing (even our bosses, colleagues, etc.); it was a perfect balance between elegant and fun.

If you want an elegant DJ, you can't go wrong with A Starry Night. Exceeded my expectations!

I worked with Carol at A Starry Night on DJing and music for my wedding. They were both extremely helpful and patient during the planning process. I never felt rushed or worried - everything ran so smoothly. And at the wedding, the guitarist, Beledo, and the DJ, were awesome! So many people raved about Beledo's music during the ceremony and especially the cocktail hour. He was a huge hit, and the perfect touch to a perfect evening. She's amazing! So many of our guests have told us she was the best wedding DJ ever, and she was. The dance floor was full of people the whole wedding, and she had everyone dancing - old people, young people - everyone. I've literally never seen my parents dance before, and they danced at my wedding! Multiple times!

Carol Moore was fantastic. She provided music we chose and did it with class. Music makes the event and she was open to all our suggestions, played what we wished and was, as she put it, a "quiet linebacker" when fielding requests. Carol is the sweetest, most sincere, friendly person! When we first met, I noticed that her home phone # was same area code as where I live,so I asked if she lived nearby. When we found out how close our homes were to each other, she suggested we meet at a nearby Starbucks! How’s that for convenient? Each time we spoke, I felt more and more comfortable and by the end of our discussions, I felt like she was more of a friend. Her knowledge of music is extensive and she guarantees any song that you put on the list will be played. She did play every must play song and didn’t play any of our do not play list.My husband’s Aunt Eileen died 5 days before our wedding and we originally had “Come on Eileen” as a song idea. We emailed her to take it off the list but during the reception, her son asked for it. We requested it and within a few minutes, Carol had it on. It was one of the most beautiful parts of our night and it would not have been possible had Carol not been so good at what she does. The dance floor was packed the whole night and many guests commented on how great the music was. The only negative thing we heard about the music was that another slow song might have been nice for the guys who only dance to slow songs and I did happen to agree. During the party, we all got caught up in this whirlwind of dancing and didn’t notice. I think that was probably her reason for not playing one, to keep the party going. Other than that, if you want a DJ for a reasonable price, not a lot of smoke and lights, who doesn’t talk over the music and is courteous and fun, look no further. I would highly recommend her to everyone. In fact I did, and my friend who is got married in October booked her and loved her, too!

Carol is an awesome DJ! We visited with her to sign the contract and talk about our eclectic musical tastes. She was so easy to work with, very cool, and very excited to talk music. Her husband, a guitarist, did our ceremony music. We wanted some very specific stuff, and he learned new music for our ceremony and everything. I highly, highly recommend A Starry Night!

Carol was very nice to work with. She played from the list we provided. Would have liked her to be more in sinc with the flow of the evening though. Seemed removed from the energy of the crowd and which events needed to happen when.
