We r the parents of the bride, the ceremony and reception were beautiful, everyone there was so accomodating, i would recommend this place to anyone who wants a beautiful rustic place to get married, up in the mountains.

Everything was above and beyond what I imagined. Susan at the floral shop is amazing. All of the staff on the day of was helpful and friendly to our guests. My husband and I are sticklers about service, so it was terrific to hear that from our guests. The food and apps were fantastic. The staff made sure my our wedding party and us never had an empty drink all night. We were married at the Terraview venue, and it's a beautiful location for an outdoor ceremony. The only minor issue I had was the separation in the venue of the bar and dance floor. It will be fine for couples that don't care to dance too much, but we felt that we didn't get as many guests on the dance floor due to people naturally congregating around the bar and not being able to hear the DJ for events throughout the evening. Other than that, they take care of everything, which was perfect for me as I planned from far away.

I cannot thank the staff at Stroudsmoor for everything that they did for my now husband and I. Our wedding planner Corinne Tuohy was the BEST! We had somewhat of a "different" wedding (cowboy boots, deer antlers, horse shoes, groom was in jeans... and some seriously rowdy guests) and there was not one single request that we had that was denied. Despite the fact that we got 4 inches of rain on our wedding day it was still absolutely perfect. I recommend Stroudsmoor Country Inn to anyone that is considering getting married in the Pocono area.

A good percentage of the 100 people that attended our wedding said it was the best they have ever been to. Cathleen and the staff at Stroudsmoor are first rate, the grounds (we were at Lawnhaven) are beautiful, and they simply could not have been more accommodating. We compared many places to have our wedding, and we are very happy we chose Stroudsmoor.

Stroudsmoor Country Inn is an exceptional venue with everything in house. For our wedding I used Barbara the event planner, Susan the florist, John the photographer, and had all of the catering including their bakery provide the food for our reception. The staff were all so professional, accomodating and unbelievable, especially on the big day. I felt like a princess the way they treated me and how helpful they were in taking care of all the little things a bride can forget. The staff was excellent with my parents and all of our family members. The entire atmosphere was breathtaking and the details were unforgettable. I keep getting compliment from our guests that was the best wedding they had ever been to in large part tyo the band, the food, the venue and the energy that encompassed the entire night. I highly recommend Stroudsmoor and will always b e grateful to them for making my big day the perfect fairytale wedding :)

Made my wedding day very special and less stressful with all the help

The team at the Stroudsmoor is absolutely amazing!! My husband and I were married here about two weeks ago and I couldn't imagine a way to make our wedding day more perfect. Leading up to the wedding, our planner, Linda, was always available for questions or concerns, and made the whole planning process so much easier by providing checklists and recommended vendors. We also had a tight budget which Linda easily accomadated to make sure that we could have the most special day possible. On the actual day of our wedding, the Stroudsmoor team was wonderful! We planned an outdoor ceremony, at Woodsgate, but the weather didn't seem to be coorporating so we had to move the wedding inside. Luckily the sun came out right before the ceremony, and our day-of-coordinator, Amy, took the time to relocate our ceremony back outside while we were in transit to the Stroudsmoor. The whole team, from the venue manager to bartenders are so friendly and accomodating that my husband and I didn't have anything to worry about on our wedding day. The reception room, decorated by Susan and the Stroudsmoor floral team was lovely and exactly how we imagined it, and I can honestly say that we heard nothing but compliments over the venue, floral arrangements, and food. BTW the cake was AMAZING. We also chose to keep the Main Inn bar open late as our after party, which worked out perfectly! It's not a private reservation, so other people staying at the hotel can come and go, but it provided the perfect laid-back way for everyone to wind down after the reception. Our only con was that the room rental rates proved to be a little too expensive for some of our guests, so we ended up having a lot of people needing to share rooms. Overall, our wedding was just perfect and I would jump at the chance to host an event at the Stroundsmoor again!

The Stroudsmoor Country Inn was a dream come true for our wedding! The view is beautiful, the facilities are incredible, and the staff is top notch! You can tell that this is a family run business because every person who works on the property makes making your day their priority. They have everything you need right on site including awesome lodging, a salon, a spa, photographer, floral department, registry, and even an amazing bakery right down the street. And if you don't want to use their options, you can bring in whomever you like! The only thing they won't let you do is bring in outside food (health code stuff) so you aren't allowed to bring in an outside cake. HOWEVER, their bakery is awesome and they will do whatever you want.

Everyone at The Stroudsmoor is so professional and wonderful. They made the day run so smoothly!! I would recommend them to anyone!

I got married on March 30, 2013 at Stroudsmoor Country Inn. Everyone there was so wonderful and helpful. They took care of mostly everything from flowers to décor to making sure we met important deadlines. The minute we took a tour of the venue we fell in love with it. It has a beautiful charm about it. It is romantic and cozy. They will even put together a list of recommended professionals such as DJ, photography, and live music. All of the professionals my husband and I chose gave us a discount just because we booked them through Stroudsmoor. There is a Salon on site, rooms available, and a wedding planner on site as well. I especially like the fact that they are family owned. It just adds that sense of family that is so welcoming. I highly recommend this venue.

We cannot say enough positive things about our experience at the Stroudsmoor. Barb made the process exceptionally easy and there was very little stress involved in the planning as they keep things organized. We had our daughter and son-in-law's wedding at The Terraview three years ago and just yesterday had their baby shower at the Stone Room. Stroudsmoor Inn is bar none to any other venue I have ever attended. I come from a family of caterers, so I honestly can say this is a first rate establishment. Their service is absolutely amazing, and the food is equal in perfection. I am looking forward to having Stroudsmoor help our family celebrate future family events.

We just had our wedding this month and couldn't have been happier with the stroudsmoor. We used the woodsgate which is absolutely beautiful and our planner was Cathleen who was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. Our guests loved their accommodations and felt the staff was very helpful. The food was fantastic. The inn is family owned and are dedicated to giving you a wonderful wedding within your budget. The setting in the pocono mountains is an added bonus. Would recommend this venue to everyone. It's perfect and so was our wedding.

Stroudsmoor was absolutely divine. I was blown away by how beautiful and elegant everything turned out. We were treated like royalty. I planned all of it from South Florida and in three months. Corrine and Linda made everything so smooth. I would want my daughter to be married here (if I have a daughter) - truly exquisite.

It was a stunning ceremony and gorgeous venue. The food is amazing. Most of our guests stayed overnight and a delicious breakfast was included, they had us set up in a private dining room and it was a wonderful way to say goodbye to our guests. Cathleen Fillman and Colleen Denahan were very accomadating, kind, and they took care of everything. Our guests had a ball as did we. I recommend using Susan Bernadette the florist at the Stroudsmoor, she has extroadinary talent and she will listen to your vision and make it a reality. If you've ever been to one where the food wasn't very good but you still had a great time then you know you'll eventually forget about the less-than-great food. With the Stroudsmoor Country Inn as your venue, rest assured your guests will remember the food! We can’t begin to thank you enough for all you have done to make our wedding a success! Eric and I both agree that our wedding was all we dreamt it to be and more! Cathleen was incredibly helpful and guided us through each step along the way. On the day of the wedding when a snowstorm threatened guest arrival, she worked with the Inn’s owner to shuttle guests up the hill in a truck, where guest vehicles couldn’t make the trip. She also provided cushions and umbrellas for guest comfort during the outside ceremony and tirelessly worked at keeping the pathway clear and safe. The entire staff at Woodsgate was amazing, continually working to ensure the happiness of the bridal party and guests! The food at the reception was outstanding and all of the appetizers were varied and delicious. It was also appreciated when they brought out ‘seconds’ of the other entrees when some guests weren’t able to attend last minute. The hall and outdoor chapel were decorated beautifully (and looked particularly amazing in the fresh fallen snow). They worked with all of our requests (some of which were rather unconventional) to give us the wedding of our dreams. Thank you for everything!

I just got married at the Woodsgate Venue at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn. The food was amazing, the venue was beautiful and I got exactly what I wanted out of it. Barbara was my planner, and helped me plann my wedding from Kansas. Everyone at the Stroudsmoor did what they could to make distance planning as easy as possible. I knew ahead of time what we were going to work on at each appointment and what my "homework" was. The ceremony and reception flowed very easily into each other and nothing felt rushed. The event staff was amazing as well. They checked on me frequently but weren't over bearing at all. I also got my flowers through the Stroudsmoor's florist, Susan Lebel. I went in knowing more about what I didn't want in my flowers than what I did want. She really listened to what I had to say and created something that was absolutely stunning. She did everything from my bouquet to the center pieces, decorations for the ceremony the flowers on the cake and a tosser bouquet so that I didn't have to wreck mine. I also got to see the flowers before hand, which was great

We were blown away with how our special day came together! All the staff are very warm and welcoming to their guests and take good care of you throughout the whole process, including the wedding day. Barbara did a fantastic job as our wedding coordinator- especially during our stressful days following hurricane Sandy..she was very reassuring and kept us calm!! Even stayed to make sure everything ran smoothly with a 102 fever! Will definitely be back to visit on anniversaries!

Stroudsmoor Country Inn was the PERFECT place for us to have our wedding. We used their Woodsgate venue and we fell in love with it as soon as we saw it. Linda was our wedding coordinator and she was amazing!! So increidbly helpful both on the day of and all the days leading up to our wedding. She was in constant contact with us, whether it by email or phone, addressing all of our questions/concerns, and working with us to make sure our day was everything we wanted it to be. She worked with us on the details to make sure the ceremony and the recption were unique to Rob and I. Linda also coordinated with our outside vendors to be sure everybody was on the same page for our big day. On the day of, Linda checked in regularly making sure everything was going as planned and to wish us well. Ryan was with us all day on Friday and was absolutely AMAZING. From taking pictures in the bridal lounge, providing us with a champagne toast, taking drink orders from the wedding party...he was PERFECT!! He and a crew of staff members kept a continuous parade of appetizers coming and drinks flowing for the entire duration of pictures at the ceremony site before the reception began. Ryan made sure things ran smoothly throughout the couse of the night, constantly checking in with Rob and I to make sure we had what we needed. He worked with our groomsmen to pack up our belongings at the end of the night, and found extra supplies so our room could be romantically set for us when we returned at the end of the night. He saw me the next morning and greeted me by my new name and thanked me for having him be a part of our day, when really it was ME who needed to be thanking HIM. Everybody at Stroudsmoor was absolutely wonderful. Our wedding day was perfect from start to finish and the location and staff at Stroudsmoor had EVERYTHING to do with it.

I chose the woodsgate location for my wedding and it was perfect. They did everything...food, decor, flowers and they even have a salon on premise. The food was amazing! My family still says it was the best food they have every had at a wedding and felt like they were at a fine dining restaurant. The center pieces were lovey and exactly what I wanted. And the salon did a fantastic job on my hair and makeup! The servers at the wedding were so professional and attentive. They really went out of there way to make me feel comfortable and make sure I was happy! There is absolutely nothing I would change about my wedding day. We were so excited when we found the Stroudsmoor Country Inn and we were even more excited when we went to see it for the first time! They have so much experience that my wedding planning felt like a breeze. Everyone kept telling us how perfect our venue was. They even recommended ALL of our vendors and we couldn't have been happier with our choices. If you're a future bride and groom looking for someone to really step up and take charge, making sure that every detail is accounted for, then the SCI is your venue. Everything was right into one place, making it superbly easy for myself and my girls and guests to get things done. We stayed in a Ledgemere Suite which was so large that it could accommodate all three of my girls getting ready in the bathroom, myself getting ready in the bedroom and my brother, bridesman and male friends who arrived early in the sitting room. We would drive over 4 hours each time we had a meeting, so it was really convenient that we could meet with the Bridal Salon, The Event Office, the Decor Studio and even grab dinner before we headed down the road all in one place. My only criticism of the SCI is that it is sometimes a little difficult to get creative. Because they have done this 1000 times and they know what works, they are sometimes hesitant to embrace new or creative ideas when it comes to ceremony and reception planning. Just to clarify, this does not pertain to the decor (as the design studio is sort of a separate entity) but just to the planning and execution. My husband was extremely irritated after a while with this because it seemed like if you wanted to veer off the path of options they had already laid out for you, you had to pay quite a bit of money. That being said, we stayed within budget, chose from what they had offered us, and were able to add on some fun extras without feeling like we missed out on anything. Everything was beautiful. It was so perfect I almost want to do it all over again! Almost...

Stroudsmoor Country Inn was a dream come true! We booked the Lawhaven facility for our fall wedding. Our event planner was Barbara Ciaremella very friendly, organize, she keeps you right on schedule. There was not a detail left out that Barbara didnt cover. From the menu, the cake, the ceremony and reception programs, my stay at stroudsmoor country inn, invitations, flowers, favors, etc. She was so helpful and it really kept us on top of everything and she make sure we spoke to the professional in charge of every single thing. For example, we had Susan for our florist she was also very professional. She made everything from the bouquets to the decor arch on the gazebo and it all very beautiful. The day of the wedding Barbara couldn't be on premise but she had another planner guiding us through the whole process, the staff was attentive to us, they made us feel like celebrities. My guest love the place and they really enjoy the cocktail hour food. Stroudsmoor Country Inn its the best place to have your wedding if you are looking for a place that cares about making your wedding amazing!!

There is no better place to have your wedding than the Stroudsmoor. The food is delicious, they are incredibly professional, the wedding went off without a hitch, thanks to Barbara and the amazing staff. Hair, make-up, photography, florist and cake all on-site makes things so easy.

They were FANTASTIC - good deal for the money, and handled SO MUCH the day of for me. I was able to just sit back and enjoy my wedding, they handled everything.

Our wedding reception was at Terraview at The Stroudsmoor Country Inn in September 2012. We could not have been happier with how everything turned out! Barbara was our wedding planner and she was amazing throughout the planning process. As we were planning, she thought of every detail - which truly paid off. The staff working at the venue were so thoughtful and really took care of our guests. Everyone there really seems to enjoy what they do and it shows! The venue looked gorgeous! Jessie, a florist at the Stroudsmoor, did our flowers and the centerpieces were beautiful. She really made the whole venue look amazing. I can’t forget the food! Our guests still talk about the how delicious and unique the hors d’oeuvres were. Everything about our wedding was perfect for us – I would definitely recommend the Stroudsmoor Country Inn.

Our venue (Woodsgate) was beautiful and comfortable, which was exactly what we were looking for. Our wedding planner was extremely detail oriented, but with my anxiety over the wedding and my need to be in control, I often felt her need for information was overbearing. Also, we felt very limited in some of the rules at the Stroudsmoor, ie we couldn't access Woodsgate until 1/2 hour before the ceremony, but we wanted to take pictures before the wedding. There were some issues with the invoice near the end, where the numbers weren't matching my records and although it was resolved, I was worried with the attention to detail but lack of precision when it came to invoicing. Overall, the venue was perfect and the service the day of was fantastic - I took away stars only for some issues during the planning process and the lack of flexibility.

We had our wedding at the Stroudsmoor on Friday September 28 th and it was beautiful. Everyone at the Stroudsmoor gave excellent service. Our wedding coordinator was helpful throughout the whole planning process. The florist, Susan, did a awesome job on my center pieces and bouquets. The wait staff was on top of things the whole night and made sure I had everything I wanted. I would highly recommend the Stroudsmoor photographers, John and Wanda. They were great and a really nice couple! They got so many great Shots and the quality is excellent. I couldn't have Asked for a better wedding!!

I had an absolutely fabulous wedding this past August at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn. Linda and all of her staff were exceptional and exceeded my expectations beyond imaginable limits. Numerous guests have told me that this was the nicest wedding they had ever been to. If you want your wedding to be unbelievable and the most memorable day of you and your guests' lives, then I would recommend having it here at the Stroudsmoor. We had two days of ceremonies and receptions (my husband is Christian and I am Indian). The first day was at the Lawnhaven. The facility is truly magical, perfect for about 100 or 120 people. The staff adds little bits of romance and fine touches that you would never expect but that truly make all the difference. It actually rained the day of my wedding and in a matter of moments, Linda had the whole staff rearrange for the backup plan under the terrace and it was truly a romantic and intimate setting. Absolutely phenomenal. The second day we had our Indian ceremony at the Terraview. The Terraview is a like a dream out of a a romantic italian novel. It is so beautiful with the large stone building and the beautiful waterfall. Our ceremony was colorful and musical and Linda and her staff just excelled at executing all of the traditional aspects of the ceremony. The reception was so beautifully decorated. Susan made the tables look like something out of The Secret Garden, cascading arrangements in large ornate centerpieces. It was amazing. Linda had her cooks train in traditional Indian food and they totally excelled. They served countless appetizers during the cocktail hour and an array of impressive dishes for dinner. No one went hungry or unsatisfied. The Stroudsmoor is a gem, they gave us a perfect wedding!

Planning my wedding was so easy with the help of the Stroudsmoor staff members. They provided everything I needed for a beautiful and memorable wedding. The food was absolutely delicious and there was plenty of it. Their suggestions about vendors was spot on, we had great service in all areas. Our wedding was held on August 12, 2012 at Lawnhaven.It was a positively wonderful celebration not only because my husband and I were so elated to be wed, but because of the terrific event the Stroudsmoor staff helped coordinate for us. We had a celebration that was on the smaller end for the location we chose. At seventy-five guests, the room still felt warm and cozy-not barren or empty in the slightest.Lawnhaven features a large covered gazebo for cocktail hour or ceremony if there is inclement weather. It was wonderful to never have to stress during the planning process that rain might ruin the day, as both areas for the ceremony were beautiful. The reception space boasts high vaulted ceilings with warm wood paneling that adds to the cabin-like feel of the room.The floors are a beautiful slate, and the fireplace and mantle are stunning added details.The walls of windows kept the space feeling open and airy, and in the evening allowed for beautiful nighttime views. Ultimately, the space was loaded with character without feeling dated, a true gem of a space! Aside from the space,I cannot say enough about the staff! Incredible. Each and every single one. From Linda, who helped plan our event from start to finish.Colleen, Kerry, Jessica, Cassandra...so many to name, but they were all absolutely top-notch professionals who did everything in their power to make our day everything we had hoped. I have so much I would like to say, but I can't get every kind word and accolade to fit in this small space! For brides that are searching for a space that is outside the ordinary ballroom, or just talented event staff that can help bring whatever vision you have to life-Stroudsmoor can do it.The draw for me was its unique rustic charm, but I know each event location has something to offer for every bride. The Stroudsmoor was phenomenal in every aspect of the word. The service was over the top! They took care of things that we forgot about. Friends of ours are vegans. When the servers brought horsdourves to them they said "No, thank you, we're vegans." They told us that within minutes they were back with all types of appetizers that they could eat. The decorations were beautiful! I went in four times to look at the hall before the guests went in because I was just amazed. The flowers were fit for a Princess. My daughter always said she wanted a fairytale wedding, and she had that wedding at the Stroudsmoor. I cannot say one bad thing about her wedding. The servers had food and drinks in our hands as soon as we were finished. And, it was not just the wedding party, it was all of the guests. Linda and the entire staff at the Stroudsmoor are absolutely terrific.

I have no complaints at all about this venue.The staff even went above the call of duty to help me with a special request.

SCI-WOODSGATE the "8TH WONDER OF THE WORLD" Now that we have returned from our honeymoon and moved, I can finally sit down and reflect on Stroudsmoor. We can not say enough about Stroudsmoor Country Inn and our Planner Linda. Linda was so attentive to all the details especially at the last minute when my grand vision for my ring bearer seemed impossible, she helped make my dreams come true, I cannot thank you enough Linda!! Susan our florist left me breathless with her wonderful talent bringing my floral desires to life. Her patience and constant commitment to make everything perfect for us was just what every bride needs. Also the lodging staff are "A"mazing, Colleen and Cathy Lee were such a pleasure I looked forward to calling and talking to them and simply catching up on how they were doing, thats just how wonderful the rapport had become. Every detail was thought of, every need anticipated and yet it felt so natural and unscripted. We had our reception here. The workers are so professional and nice. People cannot stop talking about how beautiful everything was. Also, the food was out of this world!!! We had family stay on the grounds and we had a brunch the next day. The best day of our lives!!!

Tom and I wanted our wedding to be different. We wanted a place separate from typical wedding venues. Stroudsmoor was exactly what we were looking for! Everyone at Stroudsmoor does their job so wonderfully, that they made planning a wedding in four months an absolute breeze. Tom and I referred to Linda as our "sanity" throughout the planning process. She was just amazing! We could not imagine having our wedding day anywhere else. Stroudsmoor's rustic elegance makes it stand out. It was perfect!

We had the greatest day of our lives! We knew it would be wonderful but we didn't know it would be as great as it was. Honestly, we heard absolutely no complaints from anyone who attending our wedding. Everyone we spoke with said this was the best wedding they've ever been to! We enjoyed every minute of it .. the food was delicious and as someone said to us "if you left hungry that's your own fault!" The service was awesome and Ryan, our floor supervisor, was so happy to help us however he could which made the day go so smoothly. Planning was also made easy along the way. AMAZING!!! Everything was perfect from the first meeting to the last dance at the reception. Very professional staff and very easy to work with!! They help you plan everything! They certainly make dream weddings come true!

We looked at a bunch of different places before finding the Stroudsmoor Country Inn. They all nickle dimed us to death. A fee for this, a fee for that. Figure out your own plans if something goes wrong. You don't get that at Stroudsmoor. No need to worry if something happens, there's a plan B, just give us an hour. No need to worry about the florist getting the flowers there on time. No need to worry about the bakery delivering your cake. Everything is on site, it's all there, ready and waiting for you. Barbara kept telling me not to worry and she was right, everything was perfect. The floral design staff (Jesse) made the most beautiful arrangements and bouquets. The Spa staff helped me to relax the morning of our event. The food was delicious, although I do wish I could of had more of the hors d'oeuvres. Not that there wasn't enough, I was just so excited I couldn't eat. I cannot say enough on how wonderful the Stroudsmoor staff made my day. It turned out to be my dream wedding (vow renewal). The setting at Woodsgate was perfect and the Woodsgate staff was very attentive to my every need. Guys you were the best. I'm still glowing even though it's 2 weeks past. We could not have dreamed for a more wonderful wedding. From the first bridal sampling we attended, we were thoroughly impressed with how flawlessly everything was run and how beautiful Stroudsmoor truely was. The grounds are absolutely beautiful. The entire staff at Stroudsmoor were extremly helpful throughout the planning process from start to finish (Linda, our planner, floral studio, group lodging, bridal salon, etc.). The responsiveness we received was first rate and the professionalism and knowledge of all the staff was unlike any other venue we had ever seen. Every detail was planned perfectly and really helped us feel at ease throughout the entire process which was something I didn't think I could feel anywhere. They always made us feel like their number one priority. The day of the wedding was truely amazing to say the least! We have been to so many weddings and had almost every single guest reach out to tell us it was the best wedding they had ever gone to. I do not even know where to begin with Stroudsmoor Country Inn. If I could give them 10 stars I would. It was the best wedding I could ever imagine and they really over delivered!!! I was always one to say that I wanted a destination wedding this way everything would be planned for me and all I had to do was show up. I also wanted to always keep things simple because I just hate planning. When we saw Woodsgate it was raining and we still fell in love with the venue instantly. Having a ceremony outside in the woods was so different and unique and we knew whether it was raining or not we would want to be married outside. BARBARA was our wedding planner and made our wedding the best experience a person could ask for. There are not enough words to describe how great Barbara is. From the minute I met her I knew she would make sure that everything turned out flawless. We were debating between Stroudsmoor and one other place and the main reason we chose Stroudsmoor was not only because of the beautiful grounds but because Barbara was so professional and we knew she would be there to help us with every detail. You could just tell that every wedding there is unique and that they are so accommodating. We were able to pick out everything ourselves and tailored the wedding to our liking. I was the type of bride that really did not know what kind of wedding I wanted I didn’t really know what kind of details went into weddings and Barbara was there to guide us the entire way. KAILA also helped us with a lot of things and worked closely with Barbara to make sure everything was special. We planned our wedding in 9 months and I could not imagine getting through it all without Barbara. She made sure we booked our vendors and she stayed on top of things the entire time. SUSAN from Stroudsmoor did our centerpieces and she did a phenomenal job!! She made the room look so intimate and romantic to go with our theme. She also did a great job with our lantern favors. She is so talented and I highly recommend using her because she can make the room look any way you want. I described my vision to her on how I wanted the room to look and again she made it look better than I even imagined. JESSICA coordinated our spa and salon services. The night before our wedding I had the bridal party get massages at the spa at Stroudsmoor. Jessica coordinated the services and even kept the place open an extra hour for us (we also had the place to ourselves). I have gotten massages before and I have to say even the massage therapists were some of the best. It was one of the best massages and I needed it before the wedding. Then everyone got their hair done at the salon for the wedding and they looked great. Jessica was such a sweetheart and worked around me and she was another great representation of Stroudsmoor. COLLEEN was so helpful in coordinating the rooms for my guests. At first some rooms were not available so she got me in touch with other local hotels as a backup plan and as rooms became available at Stroudsmoor she she would email me. She was so helpful as was everyone at the Stroudsmoor. Another person that stands out for us was RYAN because he was helping us during the wedding and made sure we ate (I told him we wanted to enjoy our wedding food). he made sure we enjoyed cocktail hour while taking pictures and really took care of us. We felt so special and important and we are not used to having all that attention. We could not say enough great things about Stroudsmoor. We would not change a thing and they really made the entire experience wonderful from start to finish. There were things that we needed to change last minute and they were so accommodating. We decided at 5pm (the night before our wedding that we wanted a cookie station and the bakers came in early the next day and got it done. Barbara made it happen along with the wonderful staff at Stroudsmoor. The ambiance, venue, food, dessert, favors, you name it….all FANTASTIC!!!! My husband and I love it there and now are just hoping our friends get married there so we can keep going back. We plan on going there a lot more since we still could not get enough of that place. Besides giving this review we just want to say THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all the staff at Stroudsmoor for making our wedding the best most memorable day a couple could ask for. Not just for us but for our guests as well.

the food was amazing service was good but while you are planning your wedding don't run into financial harship b/c they won't work with you AT ALL. Over all thre wedding was good but they added alot more stress than needed the months leading up to the wedding.

This venue is only in it for the money and they don't care how they treat their clients. I wish I never booked my wedding there. The staff is rude and the service was terrible. My mother's table and my bridal party was served last for food, they disregarded our requests for food and they tried to serve raw seafood to our guests! Don't waste your time or money!!!

I can't even begin to tell ANYONE how absolutely wonderful my wedding was. I feel in love with the Stroudsmoor Country Inn the minute I stepped foot on their property. My wedding was even BETTER than I could have EVER dreamed. Linda and Lizzy (my wedding planners) were absolutely wonderful. They were there for me every step of the way. Two months before my wedding, my father passed away and through everything they stood by me the whole entire time. Grieving the death of your father and trying to finish planning a wedding is not an easy thing to do, and without them I do not know how I would have gotten through it. Everything was exactly how I pictured - the cake, center pieces, flowers, ceremony EVERYTHING. It is such a magical place to get married. The grounds are beautiful and spacious. I honestly felt on top of the world the day of my wedding, they really treated me as though I was a princess. So many of my guests keep telling me how amazing my wedding was and that it was one of the best if not THE BEST wedding they have ever been too. I would HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend The Stroudsmoor Country Inn to anyone planning to get married. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would because it was incredible.

Absolutely perfect. Planned my wedding in two months, Amy was the best! Having everything at one location made it a breeze and stress free. The Lawnhaven Building is gorgeous. Perfect size for our small wedding of 60. The food was the best I have ever had at any wedding. Crazy amount of hor deurves. Guests LOVED it and so did we!!!!

Stroudsmoor is a one stop shop. Amy Spangler was our coordinator and she was responsive, helpful, and professional. She did anything we needed from planning to suggestions for the wording on our invitations. The priced are affordable for the beautiful settings for both the ceremony and reception. We got married at the Woodsgate location outdoors. Yes, in February they did plan for indoor if needed. We had a gorgeous day. The florist was flexible to work with our tight budget, but nothing looked undone or skimpy. I loved my bouquet and the rustic decorations. The salon made you feel like a princess. I got the best massage the day before and we had hair and makeup done the day of. Myself, 7 bridesmaids, and my mom were treated like celebrities and everyone was happy with their work. The cake was delicious strawberry and chocolate cake. We got married on my husband's birthday they let us bring a second cake and have party decorations that I brought set up under his seat. The food we received so many compliments. Most frequent was that no one had the same appetizer twice and they brought around second helpings of the beef from dinner which the guys loved! I can't say enough how helpful, accommodating, and beautiful Stroudsmoor is. Two of my bridesmaids who got engaged already booked weddings there from their experience.

My husband and I had our wedding at Stroudsmoor Inn on 12/31/2011. It was absolutely fabulous! The cost of the dinner and drink package was extremely reasonable. The food was outstanding. We decided to go with a stations wedding and picked 2 stations. We were slightly nervous about having enough food when deciding on the stations package, but we felt that the stations would be a better mingling atmosphere for a New Year's Eve wedding. There was so much food!! All the guests were impressed and commented many times on how much food was available and how delicious the food was. Also, they had one server that just waited on my husband and I. I am gluten-free and the server even made my plate for me making sure the food was all safe for me to eat. We also had our ceremony at Stroudsmoor. It was held outside in the pavilion and was so beautiful. They also have the most beautiful display of Christmas lights and decorations. When you decide to hold your wedding/even at the Stroudsmoor Inn, they assign you an event planner. Our planner was Barbara, and she was outstanding! I work a very demanding job and she kept me on track with what needed to be done and when it needed to be done. This includes everything for your wedding: dress, bridesmaids' dresses, tuxes for the groomsmen, DJ/band, food and drink package, officiant, decorations for the wedding, etc. She sent me emails and often called me to remind me of the tmeline. Barbara was the reason our wedding went perfectly without any hitches. Overall, I would recommend Stroudsmoor Inn as a venue for any event, but especially weddings. They know what they are doing and do it extremely well! Your guests will be impressed and you will be blown away by how perfectly your event/wedding will be if you have it at Stroudsmoor Inn. My husband and I held our New Year's Eve wedding reception @ Stroudsmoor Country Inn (Stroudsburg, PA - Pocono Area). There are plenty of room options for guests and several buildings at the inn (depending on your taste/style and number of guests attending) where you can hold your ceremony, reception or both! We had our reception at Woodsgate which is very intimate and stunning on the inside. Everyone was so attentive and made the planning and wedding day stress free and very memorable. Everything was perfect. The flowers and decorations were exactly what I pictured. The food - WOW amazing and the photographers were phenomenal. I wish I could do it all over again and wouldn't think twice about using them for future events. I HIGHLY recommend Stroudsmoor to any bride!

I cannot stress enough how UN-stressful our wedding at Stroudsmoor was. The event planners and staff truly know their stuff, and are accommodating in all ways possible. Orchestrating a wedding is a huge tasks that Brides can nearly lose their minds over - Stroudsmoor makes the process fun while still paying great attention to detail. The fact that they have all the vendors a Bride would normally have to coordinate for herself, and they coordinate those vendors themselves, is absolutely priceless. Our guests were delighted and we enjoyed every minute.

We were married at the Stroudsmoor Country Inn (Woodsgate venue) in November 2011. Our event planner was Barbara, florist was Susan, and group lodging coordinator was Colleen. We even used the salon for hair and makeup. Everyone did an incredible job ensuring that our wedding was everything we hoped and dreamed of. Throughout the planning process, they were all extremely responsive, and made sure we were always on top of what needed to be done. The fact that we could do everything in one place was a huge plus for us. We probably could have done some things more inexpensively, but we were willing to pay a premium for the convenience afforded us by the Stroudsmoor. It was nice to have food, beverage, cake, flowers, and beauty services ALL in one place...and not having to coordinate as many vendors. I also was thrilled that we were able to find an amazing photographer and an incredible officiant through the Stroudsmoor's recommendations. They were even able to help schedule meetings with these vendors, which also helped organize the planning process. The lodging process got a bit confusing at times, but Colleen was always there to ensure things were figured out and our guests were well taken care of as they tried to book their rooms, and as they checked in and received their welcome bags. And everyone LOVED the accommodations. On the day of the wedding, I can't think of anything that went wrong. The Stroudsmoor staff made sure that we didn't even have to bat an eyelash. The flowers arrived on time. When my husband or I, or our immediate family, needed ANYTHING, it was taken care of without us having to think about it. Barbara ensured the ceremony flowed smoothly, she also coordinated with our DJ, officiant, and photographer. We had servers assigned to us (and our immediate family members), who made sure we always had full drinks and ensured that we got to taste as much of the food as possible (which was a lot, since we had a cocktail reception!). Susan did an incredible job with the flowers and our custom gift box. Everything was beautiful, and we didn't really give her much instruction...just an idea of budget and colors we liked. She's so creative! The food and cake were delicious too! Our friends and family can't stop raving about what an amazing wedding we had. It truly reflected US, and we couldn't have done it without the help of Barbara and the whole Stroudsmoor team!

The food was amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection. For those who made special requests, they were accommodated without question! The waiters and waitresses were always there for your every need!

Overall, I could not have asked for a better place to have my wedding. The day of was absolutely perfect, and having most of my major vendors all included saved huge amounts of stress for us. The only critiques that I have to offer have to do with the flexibility and responsiveness from SCI. We were initially told that there were great military discounts, but it turned out to only be $200 off of a $21,000 package, which was a little disappointing. They were also unwilling to budge on any minimums, whether guest numbers or package costs, and said that the only reason a date could be changed without losing any deposits would be military orders. The last point was, thankfully, not an issue for us, but had our wedding been a week later, SCI would've been under a foot of snow thanks to a freak snowstorm and we would've lost 90% of our guests. I would also critique the attentiveness from SCI in the planning process. With as much money as goes into a wedding there, we were expecting as much communication from them as we had from the other vendors: regular emails and phone calls, reminders when major deadlines were coming up, etc, but we never got them. We were given a checklist at the beginning, but no reminders after that. --- In the last month before the wedding, though, the minor frustrations melted away into appreciation for the fact that we weren't dealing with a half a dozen separate vendors, worrying about making all separate payments or delivery times and so on. Having the cake, caterer and all rentals included and having a florist on-site as well took a huge weight off our shoulders during the crazy and hectic last month. The day of the wedding, it was ALL worth it. I could not have asked for a better wedding, from having Barbara, my coordinator, there to make sure everything ran perfectly (which was a huge relief as my husband and I are both major worriers) to having incredibly attentive servers catering to myself and my wedding party from the moment we walked in to the prep room until cocktail hour was over, I didn't need to worry about anything but making it down the aisle and smiling for all of the pictures. At the reception, the same server from before was just as attentive to my husband and I, making sure we had time to eat and drink. It wasn't until the next day that I found out that the incredible service that we were getting was the exact same service that each and every one of my guests recieved, and that was a huge deal to me. The food was incredible, and I was told by a former wedding planner that after 20 years of planning and attending weddings, our cake was by far the best she'd ever had. I can't rave enough about SCI...they gave me the wedding of my dreams, and made my guests feel just as important as they made me feel. They have venues for just about any size wedding, and have countless extra services to choose from to give you exactly what you imagine for your own special day.

We had our wedding ceremony & reception at Stroudsmoor (Ridgecrest) 10/07/2011. It was absolutely beautiful! The entire staff at Stroudsmoor were professional, helpful and made our day everything we imagined. They always seemed to be one step ahead of us in the planning process, and our planner, Cathleen, was always there to answer any questions I had. She was definitely a huge help and I don't know how I would have done it all without her to guide us through it. Stroudsmoor truly helps you throughout the entire planning process. They were great to deal with & even went above and beyond by removing a few tables for us even though the policy stated they wouldn't. I felt bad even asking, but they helped us out and it really made me happy. Everything at Stroudsmoor was excellent - the food, the grounds, the staff, etc. Our guests cannot stop raving about how our wedding at Ridgecrest was the nicest wedding they've ever attended. This place is by far the best place in the entire area to have your wedding & I highly recommend it to everyone!

The Stroudsmoor staff is FABULOUS! From the moment we walked in the door as a potential wedding venue, we knew the Stroudsmoor had to be the place! The property is so well maintained, the food is absolutely delicious (every single time, and we have dined there many times)and the wedding planners are spectacular. The flowers were stunning and made our day even more beautiful. The wedding planners and services at the Stroudsmoor really make the wedding process stress free! I could never say enough good things about the Stroudmoor Country Inn, and would highly recommend it to anyone getting married in the area!

My wedding did turn out wonderful, and the workers were very nice during the day of my wedding. Although, they would not let me do a rehersal during the evening. So I didnt have one. My wedding planner left right after the ceremony. My mother paid for a room for us to stay in, but then when we went to check in, they said we never paid for it. Also, my wedding planner was very rude to me and my mother. There were a few other mishaps that happened. But overall, the wedding turned out good, and the facility was beautiful.

Our situation was a little different than most in that my husband and I were in charge of the planning for our son's US reception. He and his bride were being married in Dresden, Germany and we wanted to host a US event since not many of the US guests could travel to Germany. Although Josh and Susan were in the US before the wedding, they were living in different states due to their jobs and really couldn't take an active part in the planning of the event at Stroudsmoor. Our events planner, Linda, was extremely helpful and understanding of our particular circumstances. She, as well as the rest of the staff with whom we worked, displayed the utmost professionalism in guiding us through the planning and execution of our reception. From the early planning stages to the final event, Stroudsmoor exceeded our expectations and we wholeheartedly recommend them.

If you are looking for a charming and different wedding- this is the place to do it!! My husband and I fell in love with the Ridgecrest site after visiting the grounds. We live in northern, New Jersey and were looking to escape the wedding mills around us. We had the most magical wedding ever! Top notch service and the staff here is sooooo sweet and accommodating. Cannot say enough about everyone we came into contact with, especially our wedding coordinator Cathleen Fillman. I wish we could experience it all over again!!

Absolutely MADE our event! Our family has belonged for years, but it was great to see that they were able to be more flexible than other venues we had interviewed, since we were interested in a non-traditional ceremony.

I was not the typical bride who had planned her wedding since she was a little girl. I had no idea what I was doing and no vision in my head of what I wanted at all. As the first of my friends and siblings to get married, I hadn't even been to a wedding since being the flower girl for my cousin when I was five. I thought being so not picky about how things went would make things feel less stressful but I think it had the opposite effect, as I constantly questioned each decision I made, cursing the days as a kid I spent being "one of the guys" and having no concept of colors, flowers, dresses, or decor. Enter Stroudsmoor and wedding coordinator Barbara. We lived several hours away from Stroudsburg but with my Boston family and his Pittsburgh family it made a decent half way point and when we went to take a tour I immediately set my heart on Woodsgate (my heart had been set on Stroudsmoor in general just from the website). The travel time made things a little difficult for us and our time was always accommodated. Barbara was always really patient and helpful. I absolutely loved how personalized everything was to our personalities and styles. As I read up on wedding blogs and learned new or different things I was constantly changing things around and could never really make up my mind on anything and my changes were always accepted without any sign of how irritating I must have been. I honestly cannot imagine the entire planning process had we gone anywhere else, I might have actually lost my mind. Everything went off without a hitch. All of our guests were amazed with how absolutely beautiful the setting was, how friendly the staff was, how immediately their needs were met. We had budgeted from our engagement how much we could spend and how we would pay for things but a few months before the wedding several family issues caused a problem for our finances. Everyone (especially Jessie in their floral department, she was wonderful) worked really hard with us to make our deposit schedules fit for us so that we could still do everything we wanted without having to put a strain on us. I never would have expected such compassion and flexibility from such a high caliber wedding venue/coordinator/everything else they were for us. They truly gave us the perfect wedding that was unique and true to who we are as individuals and as a couple. We used them for our venue, caterer, coordinator, florist, baker, lodging, my hair and nails, and their recommendations for our DJ, photographer, and officiant. It was wonderful to have everything taken care of right there, and each aspect was flawless. I am amazed at wonderful the food was. I've been to a lot of formal non-wedding events before and have never enjoyed the catered food so much. I seriously can't say enough good things about them. If they could work this well with me, they can literally work for anyone.

Enough can not be said about Barbara my wedding coordinator and the stroudsmoor crew. They are incredible. I had a vision for my wedding and they made it better than could be imagined. Stroudsmoor is a one stop shop. I got my invitations, favors, flowers, and everything there. Just amazing and well worth every penny you pay which for what is included I think is not alot!

If you are looking for flawless execution of absolutely beautiful wedding receptions-- look no further. The Stroudsmoor is superb. Our wedding coordinator was Linda who expertly organized our wedding, and did not miss a beat. The communication throughout the planning was fantastic, and we got SO MANY compliments on the wedding reception. The food was fantastic, the flowers were beautiful-- it was perfect. The staff at the Stroudsmoor are experts, and I would recommend this venue to any bride.

I cannot say enough goo things about Stroudsmoor and it's staff. I worked with event planner Barbra. She was easy to work with and an amazing professional. She was also very patient with me trying to plan a wedding from Va where I live. The staff was well organized and the room(Lawnhaven) we were in, was enchanting!!!

As a couple planning a wedding from out of town, Stroudsmoor helped make planning this wedding very simple. We held both our ceremony and reception at the Woodsgate site, Barbara was a wonderful planner. We also used the onsite florist, bridal shop for invitations, the lodging coordinator, and the onsite bridal salon and spa. We did not use the onsite photographer, but this venue allows for almost one stop organizing. They also had a helpful list of area vendors including additional photographers, DJs/musicians, florists, and officiates. \r\n\r\nPlanning: Planning was fairly straight forward. There are several venues to choose from, but wedding size may change which venue can be used. Barbara showed us our potential sites, and worked with us through the months on planning the ceremony & reception timelines, food, working with vendors etc. They have standard checklists to work though which were very useful in making sure we had captured all important aspects for the wedding. The contract is pretty strict (no outside food, additional time costs & bar minimums for example), but they were upfront with all costs and we had no surprises. \r\n\r\nFood & Beverage: There were several food & beverage packages to choose from, which could be easily customized based on your budget and taste. The reception costs are based on the number of guests and the food and beverage packages chosen, there were no additional costs for the reception venue itself, unless upgrades are chosen. There is a bar minimum in the contract, the amount varies based on the venue and night of the week. We chose the Country Heritage package, which included a cocktail hour with 25 hot and cold butler passed Hors d\'oeuvres as well as a vegetable and cheese tray in the cocktail area, an appetizer, a choice of two entrees (a third can be added for an additional cost), and the cake. Vegetarian and other dietary restriction dishes were accommodated with no issues. The cake is also included with the package, there were several cake/frosting flavor options and ways to display and decorate the cake. Custom cakes were also an option through the bakery, for an additional cost. No outside food is allowed (including food favors) as part of their contract. \r\n\r\nService: Service was great during the entire planning process, but the staff at our actual reception was outstanding. They made sure the bridal party had everything they needed; everyone was well fed and had beverages. The staff also went above and beyond for the Groom, making him a special dairy free cupcake. During planning, phone calls and e-mails were responded to in a timely manner. \r\n\r\nCost: The cost may initially appear high, but the reception costs include not only the food and beverages, but also the staff, the setup/cleanup of the room, linens, dining ware, base decorations, as well as the wedding coordinator. Tip and service charges are included in the estimates, and the reception cost varies based on the number of guests. \r\n\r\nLodging: The Inn allows for a discount with a room block of at least 10 rooms booked. The downside of the room block is that all rooms not to be used have to be released 2 months before the wedding date, and there are potential charges if the rooms are cancelled by the guests. However, without the room block depending on the weekend the Inn can fill up, so this was a better way for us to ensure that our guests could stay locally. \r\n

We were married at Woodsgate and loved every second of it. Everything was perfect.

John and I wanted to thank you and your staff for making our special day perfect. We could not have asked for anything better. From the second we got there till the second we left everyone was absolutely wonderful. All of our guests couldn't stop raving about the decor, your staff and the food. It was perfect. I know so many good things have already been said about The Stroudsmoor, but it can't hurt to have one more stellar review. Every venue there is unique and gives you privacy and the feeling that you are the only couple in the world getting married. The staff is top-notch. The professionalism is ever-present without being stiff or overbearing. Our wedding planner, Cathleen Fillman was incredibly helpful as was every other member of staff we had to work with to make our day complete. Our guests can't stop talking about how "magical" the day was. We chose the Woodsgate, by the way, as our venue. Incredible.

I can not describe in words what a wonderful place the Stroudsmoor Country Inn is. They made my wedding experience so relaxing and stress free due to all the support and help they provide. They have everything in one location for you from flowers to invitations to a spa. The food, staff and presentation is wonderful. If you want awesome pictures go visit their on site photographers called Vinzon Lee Photography, they were also wonderful and so easy to get along with. I could not have wished for a better reception thanks to the Stroudsmoor Country Inn!

They have great variety of wedding reception venues for different wedding party sizes. It's great that the coordinator you start with sticks with you through it all, you feel like you are in great hands! I was at the woodsgate location , just breathtaking natural venue. They work with you on the date and pricing, and wait on you hand and foot , my guests could not stop heaping praise on the staff, the decor and the food AMAZING!

Every Bride wants to feel like a princess on her wedding day and Stroudsmoor provided nothing less...Literally...Stroudsmoor was wonderful at helping me plan my wedding as well as on my wedding day, and not only did I feel like princess for a day, they were also very attentive to my whole bridal party as well all the guest we had there..If one dreams of being a princess for a day, having great food, entertainment, and service..With a flawless wedding and attention to detail then stroudsmoor is definately the place to have it..they definately did not dissapointment..they went above and beyond all my expectations for my wedding day...

I know it looks like I just gave 5-stars to each category and rushed through this review. But really, the Stroudsmoor Country Inn delivered on every detail. They make it so easy to get married. And since they're the experts, it took a lot of stress off of us. Wedding planner, Catherine, was great and walked us through the day. She was easy to get a hold of using email or phone. Everyone keeps saying how delicious the food was. This is a seriously awesome place to get married.

From the absolutely beautiful venue to the cocktail party, reception, and attention to detail we have drawn only outstanding comments from the wedding party and guests. My son and his wife got married at Stroudsmoor Country Inn in May. This place is beautiful. Barbara was the event planner - she is wonderful. Everyone on the staff was excellent - so attentive, caring, friendly. There was not one staff member that any of us could have a complaint or negative comment about. Nor anything negative as far as ceremony, reception, accomodations - everything was perfect. Food was delicious! Even as we were leaving, one of the housekeepers was outside and asked if we had good time and was chatting with us - so friendly. I would highly recommend Stroudsmoor. I had the wedding of my dreams at Stroudsmoor Country Inn. The venue is absolutely beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff was never anything less than professional and extremely helpful. If I could, I would do it all over again at Stroudsmoor. My guests keep telling me it was one of the most beautiful weddings they have ever been to and of course, I have to agree!

From the initial meeting with Linda to the last explosion of the fireworks on our wedding day, everything was PERFECT. We could not have imagined how glamorous and extravagant the whole ceremony and reception would be. The experience was beyond our wildest imaginations and we greatly treasure the friendships that we have gained through both Linda and her staff members. We would recommend the location and the whole experience without hesitation because it was such a flawless experience.

The staff at Stroudsmoor were attentive, helpful and accommodating throughout my entire experience. Our wedding was planned very quickly, we were married 4 months after we got engaged, but the wonderful people at Stroudsmoor made the whole experience easy and I never felt rushed or stressed about anything. Stroudsmoor did all the planning for me, I sat with the flower designer the same day that I picked out my linens and room decorations. Everything was done quickly, professionally and beautifully. My guests loved the hotel, they loved the reception room and the ceremony. We had the ceremony and reception inside Woodsgate and the decorations were perfect for a January wedding, all fireplaces and candles, it looked like a warm ski lodge all done up for Christmas. The food was wonderful and the portions were very generous. Also, the staff at Stroudsmoor worked with my other vendors to make sure that everything was set up and I didn't need to be bothered with any last minute details on my wedding day. My planner, Barbara, worked with my officiant and my DJ every step of the way and she was a God-send! She was able to make last minute changes when the weather didn't cooperate with our plans for the ceremony and none of my guests knew the difference, it was that smooth. Throughout the reception Stroudsmoor staff kept in contact with me to make sure that everything was going well and that I didn't need anything. The whole experience was really wonderful, I can't imagine trying to plan everything without their help!

We had our wedding at Ridgecrest and it was absolutely the most beautiful place. The food was outstanding and I have received nothing but compliments on everything. We had them do all the flowers also, and while a little pricey they worked with you very well and the quality is top notch. Our wedding planners were excellent and outstanding. We had Corinne and Nicole. They were so accommodating and kind and really brought a lot of great suggestions and ideas to our wedding. My only issues was with the flexibility of the venue. Our wedding started late due to some issues and they did not go late at all. Everything else was Top Notch.

This place is a dream come true!!!! My Sister and I both had our weddings here in 2009 3 months apart. Barbara was our coordinator and she is the absolute best is the business. Susan is the on-site florist she is a true genious! Every single detail was covered and amazing. They take care of every single thing and they go above and beyond.

Stroudsmoor made my wedding day perfect!! From day one when i met with Barbara the wedding coordinator i knew this whole process was going to be easy and stressfree. She answered every question i had and helped with with every aspect of planning. They even provided me with a list of reccomended vendors (for photography, DJ, Limos, Florists, etc) The day of everything went perfectly. They set everything up and made sure it was exactly how i wanted it. THe food and cake were amazing. After the ceremony, during pictures they had waiters bring me and my husband and bridal party drinks and some food from the cocktail hour. During dinner we had our own personal waiter who would make sure we had whatever we wanted. My wedding day was absolutely perfect thanks to Stroudsmoor! My photographers even commented that my bridal suite (Highland Cottage at Stroudsmoor) was the cutest they've seen!

We are so glad we chose Stroudsmoor for our wedding. We got married at Lawnhaven and it was absolutely beautiful. The whole process of dealing with the Stroudsmoor staff, from selecting the venue in November of 2008 til the wedding day in August 2009, was seamless and stress-free. It was so convenient to have a wedding coordinator - ours was Corinne, who, even though pregnant with twins, was always responsive to our concerns. Having everything on-site, catering, florist, cake, etc. made it so easy to plan long-distance as we live in Virginia. We only needed to visit in person 3 times. The food was delicious, the decor and setting beautiful, and many of our guests told us that it was the best/most beautiful wedding they had ever been to! We stayed there for 4 nights and loved our little cottage. We will definitely be going back for our anniversary to enjoy the same cake they made for our wedding cake! Also, the price ended up being more reasonable than any other venues we had considered in the area, as they were flexible with our numbers and didn't make us meet a ridiculous minimum. The best choice for the wedding of your dreams.

My family and friends continue to talk about how wonderful Stroudsmoor was! The food was unbelievable, as well as the service, and how can I forget the ceremony site? Absolutely stunning. My wedding turned out to be the fairytale I always wanted it to be. Barbara was a great coordinator, and always calmed my family's nerves. I can't say enough about Stroudsmoor, and I have been recommending it since our wedding, 8/29/09!

Cathleen Fillman (our coordinator) is a great listener! Stroudsmoor is, bar none, the best place in the area to host ANY event. Food was delicious, our ceremony & reception site (Woodsgate) were beautiful, and we even had our own personal bartender for the reception. The only gripe we had was that when we chose the ceremony site, there was a very simple and elegant wooden structure at the altar area... That rustic beauty was the main reason we chose that venue over Lawnhaven. Between when we booked the date, and our actual wedding, Stroudsmoor tore down that structure and replaced it with a very large (and pretty) structure made of wood beam and stone. We did not really appreciate that our venue was changed, and we were not notified in any way. I understand that they have the right to improve their property in any way that they see fit, however, I still feel that we should have been notified. All in all, it turned out beautiful, but we really were saddened that they tore down the most charming part of that particular site. Although, I must say, it's gorgeous now. I think I was more concerned that they wouldn't have the new structure finished before my wedding. Which is why I gave them those two lower star ratings... Not that I expected them to ask my permission, but it would have been nice to have the option to change my venue should we absolutely hate what they were building there.

I can not say enough about the Stroudsmoor! Anyone who is having a wedding in the Poconos should definitely check out the Stroudsmoor. They have multiple different ceremony and reception sites to accommodate different wedding sizes and are willing to work with your budget. Everything was excellent! They pride themselves on customer service and it truly shows! They are detail oriented and in tune with every little aspect. Coming from a bride who is super organized, I couldn't be happier with the Stroudsmoor.

I got married in Lawnhaven, and it was perfect. My planner was amazing--she kept everything organized and on schedule, and gave me some great ideas for the reception. Although the price SEEMED high, you get so much for that price that it's absolutely a great deal. They made two cakes that people are still talking about, and the service during the reception was wonderful. Every time you turned around, there was someone offering you something. And the food! So many people told me it was the best wedding food they ever had! I can't say enough how awesome Stroudsmoor is. They really made the day perfect.

My wife and I have been to the Stroudsmoor on numerous occassions, usually for birthdays or anniversaries. Taking my wife's aunt for dinner on her birthday had become a tradition, however, at 90 she can't get around very well any more. So we decided to bring the Stroudsmoor to her instead. I ordered five take out meals to be picked up on a Saturday afternoon. To their credit they did not prepare the takeout until we arrived. Danielle took care of everything and could not have done a better job. All the meals were individually packaged, rolls and butter were included, there was a huge nicely arranged salad for sharing with two types of dressing on the side, There were napkins and cutlery all neatly packed in a reusable bag with handles for easy transport. As usual the food was great ... pork schnitzel with buttered noodles, grilled chicken breast with rice pilaf, and melt in your mouth pot roast with red cabbage, and mashed potatos with gravy. You guys are phenomenal.

The Stroudsmoor Country Inn was the perfect place for our October wedding. Barbara was our coordinator and worked with us tirelessly on creating a wedding day that was our own. The entire day from start to finish was perfect. We could not have been happier with how everything went. Our guests still talk about the day and how everything ran so smoothly. The food was incredible! And the cake, which was not traditional, was the most delicious. We asked them to make a cake that was not on the menu of choices, but a combination of two of them. They were open to the idea and created the yummiest cake ever! The staff and service were all tremendous. We can't thank them enough for making our wedding day so perfect!!!! Susan was the coordinator for the flowers and decorations. She was so sweet and so easy to work with. We were not wanting too many flowers for our fall wedding and she created a beautiful setting that was just so. We could not be happier with how the flowers and decorations turned out.

Our wedding day was great. The setting was breath taking and the reception was bueatiful. The food and cake was awesome! We enjoyed every part of our wedding day.

Absolutely amazing venue, gave us a list of other vendors that we might need for the day, we got our minister and band from the list and they were TOP NOTCH! seamless night, great service, and great support through the whole planning process!

My wedding was amazing. I am so glad I had it here. The staff is kind and extremely helpful. The food is spectacular. People say no one remembers the food at your wedding, but it was not the case here. The location is beautiful and they have several different locations to choose from. The package came with a planner who was very helpful in letting us know what decisions needed to be made and when. They also provided a list of outside vendors they work with to help. Each vendor came highly recommended as they work with all of them. I planned my wedding in 6 months and could not have done it without their help. Also, there is a discount if you book your wedding in January through March - which saved my husband and I a bunch since we paid for our wedding ourselves.

Although it took a long time for us to book our event, the event itself was flawless. I did not live close to the site and we only had to make 2 trips to the site for planning. everything was taken care of by the event planners. Our input and needs were valued and met. The food was absolutely delicious the cake was beautifl and divine! The coordinators at the event took care of all of our needs and all of the planning during the event. we did not have to look ata clock once. They would come and get us for anything like pictures, etc. we were able to enjoy our wedding and our guests. It was wonderful. Til this day we still hear how beautiful it was and how fantastic the food was. At the end f the night, we didn't have to worry about getting anything paked up or taken home. They packed everything up for us and had it taken to our room. we had a night free from all worries. we never had to get ourselves a drink or anything. I was queen for a night. In addition...the morning of our even which was planned for outside, was raining and they allowed us to make a last minute change and moved our event inside. They were very helpful and gracious. I couldn't have asked for a better site or service. I was very pleased and would reccomment them to anyone!

Linda and everone at Stroudsmoor make planning a wedding look easy. They are very flexible and work with you in everyway to make your wedding exactly what you want it to be. Linda is great at listening to your needs and transforming them into your dream. The food is excellent and the cake was out of this world. The have a sampling so you can taste almost everything they offer. We planned our wedding in 6 months.

Stroudsmoor is the place to get married if you love outdoorsy, woodsy, picturesque settings. I loved this place for many reasons: 1. the service--the wedding coordinator that helps you is extremely helpful and friendly from the start. They think about details for you so that you are not stressed out. They were the friendliest vendors that I spoke with on the phone, and that is why I decided to check them out. 2. The food was AMAZING and way worth its value. 3. The floral arrangements were incredible. The florist was incredibly flexible because I had a tight budget, and worked with me and listened to me to get exactly what I wanted. She also ordered wedding favors for me--chocolate cigars--which were delicious. 4. It is a gorgeous setting--at any of the sites--and each outdoor site comes with an indoor backup plan. None of my guests minded the drive--although some friends got lost, despite detailed directions, or arrived late because of traffic. 5. The rooms are incredible. Many of my guests stayed for the weekend--we just stayed one night--and have returned since. I loved our room in the main inn--it was absolutely luxurious. Two floors. Huge. Great decorations. Only problem--room service was not available, and no one would deliver, and we were STARVING--had to go out to McDonalds--have a friend bring you food/wine and leave it in your room during the wedding. You cannot beat the helpful staff there. I do not regret our decision to have our wedding there at all. Our guests said that it was the best wedding they had been to. I agree ;)

This place was amazing, I was so impressed with the way they worked with me and the way that what I told them they did and it looked so beautiful. To this day I still get " wow your wedding was so beautiful , the foos was amazing, or it was something i will never forget because it was such a beautiful wedding." I would reccomend this place to any one, if I had to redue our wedding I would still have it there. The wedding cake was out of this world, it was so amazing and beautiful. One of the best parts was that we had a personal server who was there for anything we needed and was willing to get us anything we wanted. She was amazing and so nice. The florest did a great job with the flowers and center pieces.

We were absolutely blown away by our wedding at Stroudsmoor. It is truly an amazing place that knows just how to throw a wedding. We loved that everything was included and that they took care of the little details that we just didn't either know about or have time to worry about.

Great setting... several choices for wedding sites including views overlooking the mountain or in a fairy tale like setting in the woods. Pretty easy to organize, since they do so many. Accomadations right there, so guests don't have to drive home afterwards. Only downside is that it is a bit formulaic, hard to get to creative. They definitely have their rules, and you WILL abide by them
