I have worked with this bakery twice in the last two months and each time the service and finished products were outstanding. The guests were always impressed by the design, quality and especially the taste. As a customer I feel I was treated with respect and consideration especially for my budget. After the great jobs done with my baby and bridal shower, I do plan on working with Sugar Coated again for a christening event in the near future!

Marisa did not supply a wedding cake, but she did supply the 50 of the most delicious assortment of Sweet 16 cupcakes for my nieces special day that you could ever taste. She was very helpful to my niece with her choices of design.

Getting our wedding cake from Sugar Coated was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. Our cake was absolutely amazing. If you want your wedding to end on a sweet note, Sugar Coated Bakery is the best way to go. If I could give her 6 stars, I would. Not only was it the most beautiful thing I've ever seen, but it tasted unbelievable as well. Marissa and Giovanni are truly a cake genius, and the cake was definitely a work of art. Everybody loved the cake, and it looked so wonderful in the setting. Numerous people approached me during the night to tell me how beautiful it was. Additionally, Marissa was so pleasant and flexible to work with. I think I need to start finding new reasons to have cakes made. I love Sugar Coated and will never get a cake from anywhere else!!!

Marisa at Sugar Coated is amazing. She completely took my vision and created an unbelievable University of Michigan cake! It was above and beyond my expectations. Unfortunately, Marisa didn't make my wedding cake, but she's made every other cake for all our big functions.(birthdays, showers, christenings, etc.). I really wanted to write a review because I strongly recommend her cakes!! She always shares my excitement for whatever event we're planning, and always has fantastic ideas. Being a former pastry chef myself, I can attest to the quality, hard work, and time that go into her cakes, and the extremely labor requiring decorations she makes. I can not say enough how happy she makes me and my family.

Sugar Coated in Brooklyn is the place to get your cake! Our wedding cake was fabulous! Marisa even made sugar calla lilies for us! They have tremendous flavors (caramel icing?? Who does that? lol) and even custom made Grand Marinier icing for us!!! Check them out, seriously. You can't get better than this.

the best cake I have ever had in my life! Marisa is the sweetest and easiest person to work with. Most of our communication was through email but she is easy to get a hold of and had an awesome response time. She listened to every detail and made the perfect cupcakes and personal cake for my wedding! All my guests LOVED the cupcakes and wanted more. Marissa from sugarcoated was great to work with, it is obvious that she is very professional and knowledgeable as soon as you meet her. I ordered my groom's cake from her (a UFC octagon as my hubby is a huge fan) and he absolutely loved it! The one thing I do have to say that Marissa impressed me with more than anyone was a week before the wedding I called her and was about to cancel the whole thing because of how over budget I was. I still owed a few hundred dollars and didn't think I was able to make it and was even going to forfeit my deposit. Marissa worked with me on the price because she knew how much I wanted this for him and even talked about how expensive it is to pay for a wedding (she herself is getting married). She lowered the price at the last minute to accomodate me and I was able to afford the cake. I will repay her by getting more cakes from her and always recommending her because she is a true professional. Anyone else would've kept the deposit and told me to take a hike but she showed compassion and worked with me. That was a very honorable thing for her to do and I have told so many people what an angel she is. As it turns out my ladies also ordered the cupcakes for my bridal shower from her and they were also perfect! I highly recommend sugar coated and their tasty treats.

Awesome Amazing Great Experience! Marisa was so pleasant and patient with us in designing out wedding cake. Delicious and Beautiful! I since have reccommended her to everyone I know. My sister in law actually used her for her wedding cake and grooms cake as well this past June. As well as my other sister in law using her for the Rehearsal Cake. Both of them were very satisfied and their cakes turned out amazing as well. She has a real attention to detail. Her designs and expertise seems to extend past wedding cakes too! This past August I actually used her to design a cake for my daughter Emily's 10th birthday party, she used her theme summertime and flip flops---- yet another success and I will definitely be using her in the future! Sugar Coated is perfection just like my wedding cake was. My Cake was a 4 tier red velvet pieces of heaven! Seeing the end result of it took me and my husbands' breathe away. Sugar Coated incorporated every detail we had asked more and more.They added their own special touches that i would have never thought up of on my own. I honestly wanted to use a local (Brooklyn) baker for convenience, and obviously one that was not a complete rip off. I did everything with Marisa via email, and she did a phenominal job. The cake was exceptionally moist, tasty, and the decor blew my fiance's mind away! We could not have asked for a better cake! We highly recm'd her to all brides!!!
