Tim and Spencer did an amazing job documenting our wedding. They managed to stay out of the way yet interact seamlessly with our guests and capture all of the beautiful moments. We were not convinced that we wanted a video, and we're so happy we changed our minds. The wedding highlights video was available just 2 weeks after the wedding. Everyone we shared it with was so complimentary (many people said they were moved to tears), and we felt it captured the personality of our wedding perfectly.

We have just received the signature recap of our wedding from Tim and we are absolutely speechless as to how incredible it is! It not only brought back lovely memories of our wedding, but also Tim's incredible professionalism throughout the event. Our wedding was the night before Hurricane Sandy, which meant that a lot of our vendors (and guests) were on edge. Tim was calm and collected, working to capture the happiest moments on a very stressful day. He didn't get in people's faces to push them to speak, the cameras that he uses were non-intrusive and small, and he coordinated with other vendors to be sure that he got specific moments. We really want to thank Tim for his beautiful work and we cannot wait to see the finished product!!!

It was wonderful working with TAS! We were planning our wedding from California and he was quick to respond to phone calls and emails. He was also very flexible to adjust to our wedding schedule. Tim was very professional and blended in throughout the entire day. We never felt like we had a clumsy videographer around us or in the background of our photos. I've been in and to so many weddings and have seen Tim Alan Smith's work and knew when I got engaged that I definitely wanted him to be our videographer. He captured every moment without being obtrusive and really was able to be true to who we are as a couple. Our sneak peak video was so touching. My husband and I watched it over and over and I cried! He really knows what he's doing! I highly recommend him and know all the brides and grooms would be happy and pleasantly pleased with his work!

We met Tim through a friend and I was so happy we did. We originally didn't budget for a video person but after seeing a few clips, I was so happy we did. Tim is a great guy and Andrea (the second shooter) was fantastic too. They did a great job from the afternoon to evening capturing our day. Tim shot my sister's wedding a few years ago and I remember her raving about her wedding video. I was also immediately impressed by the Same Day Edit he did for her wedding (where we got to see a video of the day at the actual reception!). When I got engaged, Tim reached out to me - and it was GREAT to not have to scour the internet to find a DC-area videographer, since we were already busy looking for all our other vendors. Tim was very easy to communicate with from the start, via email, facebook, or texting. He was extremely flexible with being a NYC-based videographer, but coming to DC to film our wedding, and making it cost effective for us. We greatly appreciated that. The end product of his videos have been indescribable at this point. He filmed our first dance (which was a Flash Dance) and had it uploaded to the internet within days of the wedding, which was such a treat for us to be able to share and relive that part of the reception. We just recently got our first snipit of the video, an amazing 3-4min montage that is just so perfect it can't even be put into words. It captured EVERYTHING from our day. The shots, the way it was filmed, the editing, the transitions - everything just truly reflected who we are as a couple, and the type of wedding we wanted to have (something that was a bit unique, and non-traditional). Tim was always open to our suggestions and ideas, and he also made suggestions of his own. I would certainly recommend him to any bride looking for a videographer that can shoot a wedding video that perfectly reincarnates not only your wedding day, but who you are as a couple as well.

I definately recomment Tim Alan Smith. I just got married on 9/24/10 and he was a pleasure to work with. I found him through word of ear, and cannot say one bad thing about him. His work is amazing, and he is so nice. Everyone of our bridal party kept saying how awesome he was.

I was not sure if I wanted a videographer for my wedding, but hiring Tim Alan Smith was the one of the best choices I made in my wedding planning process. Not only is Tim a pleasure to work with personally, but his style on my wedding day was very unobtrusive. I did not even realize he was there most of the time, yet he captured my day so perfectly. I have been watching my video over and over again recently, and it really is amazing, thanks to Tim. If you did not hire a videographer yet, call Tim now, you will be so happy that you did.

Tim was very responsive and a good listener. He wants to create a video that the wedding couple will cherish. He was a good listener and could also articulate clearly what he wanted yet was respectful to remember to be low key as he was usually in the center of the action. He did everything he had agreed to and even went beyond when we want to add and change things after the final version. We were most happy with Tim (compared to the other folks we had hired as he's low key and easy to work withh). I hope to have an occasion to use him again in the near future....maybe a birthday?

I knew Tim from working together at a previous job and I knew he was the right person to be our videographer. He did a fabulous job! Not only is the quality and service top notch, but his personality and upbeat attitude puts you at ease as the bride and groom. He captured all the right moments and went beyond my expectations as he filmed many extras. Like many brides, I heard of Tim through a friend of mine who had been in a wedding that he had worked on. When I then saw the video clip of that same wedding, I was hooked. I loved that he captured the behind the scenes moments between the bride and her tiny ring bearer, as well as the shots of everyone getting ready. The approach he took demonstrated the amount of work and dedication that Tim puts into each and every video. When it came time to our wedding, dealing with Tim was an absolute pleasure as he is the consummate professional. Prior to working with Tim, I had nightmares of a wedding videographer who had a personal agenda, and portrayed our wedding day to the tune of Michael Bolton (no offense to you fans out there). My husband and I wanted someone who would create a video that expressed our personalities in a way that we would look fondly on it 25 years from now. Knowing we were big Springsteen and sports fans, Tim incorporated music from both throughout our dvd. The outtakes section at the end of the video was one of our favorite parts. Tim had a knack for capturing all the funny, off-the-cuff moments that really made our day memorable. Tim shot my wedding and I would HIGHLY recommend him to others. In fact some of our friends did use Tim on our recommendation after our wedding and were also very happy they did! The day of your wedding, you want to surround yourself with people who will keep a smile on your face, yet "disappear" into the crowd. Tim is able to do both and able to engage your guests to get great footage! Something special that Tim offers is a highlight video clip that he edits and sends out shortly after the wedding. Its like a sneak preview before the final wedding video is completed. It was soooo nice to have that, I replayed it over and over to relive that day. I was also able to share the clip with friends and family through facebook and email. Tim was flexible in working with my budget and desires and I was very impressed with the final product. The actual wedding video is so special and it never gets old watching it. The video captures the special memories of our wedding day, and with our first child on the way, we look forward to watching the video with them one day too!

Tim is great! He put together an amazing montage for a special anniversary that coincided with our wedding weekend. He responds right away to phone calls, emails and he was bang on time for everything. We really enjoyed his laid back energy, his professionalism and his ability to capture all the moments we surely missed. We cannot wait to see the final video montage--we know it will be amazing!

My husband and I were amazed with the work Tim did on our wedding. He was very easy to meet with and to work out a plan with for the festivities. He took what he had in mind and added his own immense talent and creativity to the finished product. At the function he blended in and caught everything we needed to remember the night. He mixed spoken parts of the video with music selections that were always spot on for what was happening. We have no reservations of recommending Tim and his company. Tim was fantastic! We met with several videographers, and none of them impressed us until we met with Tim. His energy, interest in the couple as individuals (no cookie-cutter videography), and great attitude had us sold during the first meeting. As the wedding approached and my nerves started to fray, he was a bright spot in the sea of vendors, always making an effort to ensure our needs were met and always keeping a great sense of humor. On our wedding day he was flawless- he shot a perfect video during the ceremony without us even noticing him as he worked, and then befriended our photographer and kept things running smoothly during our photo session. He was by far our favorite person to work with throughout the planning process, on the day of the wedding, and afterwords. When we returned from our honeymoon we had our "mini-video" preview waiting for us on his blog site, and we absolutely loved it. He got us the rest of our video in a timely manner, and it exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend Tim Smith- I can't say enough good things about him, and plan to use him again in the future. Hi, I just wanted to take a minute to write a review for Tim because he did an amazing job filming my wedding!! The whole experience of working with him was great-he was completely professional, the video came out wonderfully (as did the short "preview" of the film that I was able to send around to friends and family days after the wedding), and I really can't speak more highly of his service. Do not hesitate to hire him-the film of my wedding really captures the day in a way that still photos just can't, and writing this review makes me want to go back and watch it again. :) It's been three years since my wedding, and I know we'll be treasuring that video for many years to come. I really am very picky and was truly happy with how it turned out. P.S. For anyone worried about a videographer bugging you on the day of the wedding or being too much in the faces of your guests, Tim was virtually invisible. There were so many times that I had no idea he was filming and yet the moments are perfectly portrayed on film. Just ideal...
