I can't say enough wonderful things about Valerie Barnes. She has an amazing eye, is so creative, incredibly efficient and enjoyable to work with. First important to note is that Valerie is a filmmaker! Her end product was a true movie of our wedding. It's something I'm proud to show to others. Valerie Barnes is an artist. Her work is for those who want their wedding video/film to truly be a beautiful and unique piece of art. Valerie's approach both during the filming/taping of the pre-wedding footage and on the day of was discreet and had a gentle, easy flow. The final piece quite simply took our breath away. And not only us; we held a screening at our home for close friends and family. In a small space overstuffed with many more people than it could comfortably hold, you could hear a pin drop while the piece played, followed by an eruption of applause at the end. Valerie Barnes will create a video/film for you well beyond your expectations, a true treasure of a keepsake.

Working with Valerie was an absolute pleasure from the start. She was professional, a great communicator, low maintenance, and an incredibly talented videographer/artist -- all important attributes when selecting a vendor for the big day. The day of our wedding, Valerie was awesome - she unobtrusively captured every special moment. Her work product was also impeccable. She delivered our uncut footage and a rough cut of the final product within six weeks of the wedding (this is impressive - talk to others - the biggest complaint about videographers is they don't deliver). Watching the edited video that Valerie produced, literally brought tears to my eyes. With no direction from myself or my husband on the focus of the footage, Valerie perfectly captured the beauty, emotion, love and pure joy of our wedding day - we did not ask to change a thing. Valerie also selected the soundtrack and it was truly the soundtrack that we imagined our wedding had, but could not put our fingers on ourselves. We highly recommend Valerie to those looking for a videographer AND for those who are unsure. If you have the budget to do it, this is your one chance to capture this day on film - go for it!

I had seen a friend's wedding video which was done by Valerie and was immediately sold. Initially, I hadn't planned on doing a video of my wedding, as I was not keen on bright lights interfering with the celebration, microphones stuck in people's faces forcing them to speak on command,etc - the typical wedding videos I'd seen in the past. But Valerie's video style is the exact opposite of all of the negatives I had associated with a wedding video. Her style is natural, artistic and wonderfully tasteful. Although I hadn't initially intended to spend the amount of money I did in this area, I cannot express how well-worth every single penny it was to have the memories of my wedding in this beautiful 'movie' that I can share with our families for years to come. In addition to the quality of her work, she is a lovely person and I truly enjoyed working with her.
